i live in south west wales and want to…

i live in south west wales and want to move to shropshire so i registered on homepoint to rent a bungalow nearly five years ago, they put me on a band that is high, in one week i was offered seven bungalows that were sheltered which i am not registered for, then i am offered three bungalows that the agent says i am not elligable for. i will soon be 86 years old and feel they will never give me a bungalow this was also for my wife who has now passed away waiting for one, i even tried taking a complaint through the armed forces covenant but was told they could do nothing for me, i now feel that i will also pass away alone in wales with no relatives as we had no family. i have a brother in WEM and relatives in Cheshire but are too far away.it is now2025 and still only offering me a flat, a short time ago they said it could take up to 12 months to find a home ? it is now nearly five years since i registered, these people are a joke they get paid for doing sod all, i am now turned 87 and feel they will never offer me another home, i gave them one star which was a mistake.

Traffic fine lunacy

I received a 424 pound fine for parking incorrectly, with my back wheels on the white lines/parking box allowed, and the bumper extending beyond the white line.
No wonder people hate traffic wardens, so petty and ridiculous. Wish I could add a photo to show you how stupid it is.

Lacks Organisational Skills

Lacks organisational skills and is only intent on collecting council tax even if this means ignoring legislation designed to protect the residents it is meant to serve. One of the main characteristics of the council members there has been some interaction with, is their inability to apply legislation correctly, fairly and honestly. Its motto should be 'Secreted profits and investments before integrity’.

Shropshire council is an absolutely…

Shropshire council is an absolutely disgusting organisation. Roads are the worst followed by dodgy planning department. Most of their officers are corrupt clowns who along with politicians (councillors) fill in their pockets by making shameful decisions for the public. Absolutely disgusting clowns

Paid completely then they demand more money off me. When explaining I completed the contract and paid completely they didn't care. Then when I explained I received an email telling me not to worry about the pay increase because I've already paid. They changed there mind and demanded I pay. Even with proof against them! Absolutely disgusting wouldn't use them ever again!!!!!!!!

This review is about Shropshire Environmental Health

This review is about Shropshire Councils Environmental Health

I have been having intermittent fumes in my living room every time my neighbour who is also my landlord puts cleaning fluid down on the patio. This causes irritation to my lungs and means I can no longer use my living room. This is especially a problem in the winter with cold temperatures not being able to use my living room. I am a pensioner so not pleasant.

They are of the opinion if the smell is not there when they visit, however long it is since I reported it, there must be no smell at all. One gentleman from Environmental Healths water testing division who was more astute did recognise that when one has had smells over a longer period one is more atuned to smelling the fumes at lower strengths than outsiders which I find sensible

I have been contacting environmental health over an 18 month period. First time they would not come out until 2 weeks by then the smell had gone. Made a complaint and they just sided with all the dishonest excuses of their staff. My opinion of environmental health is that there is an institionised mentality of not caring in the least and will go to extremes to protect their own staff. Here is the last letter I sent to one of the officials, names excluded to keep with Trustpilots terms

Dear -----

I would like to comment on your visit last week. I will start from chronological order.

When you arrived, I told you I had left a message on you answering machine, telling you there was no longer any smell and if you could get my message in time not to come. I also noticed when you arrived you were accompanied by Mr ----

I had informed the switchboard last year that I never wanted him visiting me again, because I had already made a complaint about his incompetence.

I wanted to be polite and not complain about this at the time. As soon as you had arrived you started mentioning there was no discernible smell. Well, what a ridiculous statement. I had already told you there was no smell when you arrived. Then ---- who was not even wanted in my home, started ranting on about no connection with all the things that have happened.

It was obvious to me that your only reason you were there was to try and discredit what I had reported. You was not interested in evidence or reasonable probabilities. You both spoke without respect, contemptuous and in a tone that was pure harassment, not observing or listening

I normally associate with intelligent people, who think before they speak, so to be brought down to the level of a few drunks arguing in a pub is not my style. Because of this I felt afterwards you had both been an encroachment in my home.

One thing I would like to mention before I close. You had mentioned on the visit before last, that you would ask my landlord to be careful on what she put down on the patio, and I said also tell her that I am willing to help with drawing the fluid off the patio. Last week you told me you had said to the landlord, I had told you to tell her that she should be careful what she puts down on the patio. The changing of the statement implies, I am trying to tell her what to do and conspiring with environmental health to do it. This change of wording made the whole discussion you had with my landlord counterproductive, and likely to create resentment. I had long ago in the past also asked myself that she be careful with what she puts down on the patio, so a repeat was not necessary.

You had mentioned you would not be visiting again. Well I would not want either of you to visit again. All truth told you were never pleasant in your behaviour on any of the visits.

No reply needed, more of the same is the last thing I want

Best regards
-----

Absolute shambles of a council

Absolute shambles of a council. Have some of the highest rates, steal money from local communities that raised money themselves, make poor financial decisions on roads that take nearly 2 years that have made traffic worse not better, no help at all when your in financial hardship, phone service that sends you to wrong department after 45 mins waiting on the phone. This council is beyond a joke and should be investigated for fraud and theft

Shropshire Council one of the better ones !

A lot of people are very quick to moan about the council, but Shropshire Council seem to do a decent job to me, the rubbish is always picked up when it should be, most parks seem decent, and to top it off we received our £150 council tax rebate today which is nice and early, plus when I have rung them they pick up quite quickly and their staff are friendly.

In it for themselves

Not about working for the taxpayer, but simply working to put people who aren’t part of their gang down and keeping them down. Too much dishonesty by highly paid staff, even when they’ve been exposed for corruption and threatening behaviour.
