Awful service. Shutters arrived and left next door no card to say it’s been delivered and no frame sent. 2 weeks later still no frame and 3 emails saying it’s being looked in to..Great!

Lovely shutters. I had a big order of seven and every one arrived in perfect condition - they were superbly well packaged. Each shutter went up very quickly and was a real breeze to install.

The product is excellent, accurately described and delivered and simple to fit. My only concern is the hidden cost to the customer of paying for a product in full some 10 weeks before delivery. That lead time seems to be a deliberate delay, regardless of the simplicity or complexity of the order.

I have a complaint about the shade of white on my wooden shutters received compared with the shade of white on the sample I used to place my order . Whilst the order processing staff have been helpful and polite the purchasing dept. have been painfully slow in dealing with this issue. I sent photographs for the second time at approx. 11am 1 /10/19 which was not opened until 2.08pm and still do not have a response at 2pm 2 /10/19 despite me being proactive by telephoning them on two occasions in between these times

Had a lot of choice online for various companies, not sure why I picked this one, fair on price I suppose? They do all list a very long lead time of 8-12 weeks and they take your money straight way, so use a credit card to protect yourself. I had read (after I ordered) some horror stories with this firm on various reviews, mostly concerning damage in transit, however, we were very lucky and despite Parcel force's best efforts to treat their packages with utter contempt and indifference, the damage to the packaging was only superficial. The workmanship looks of a fairly high standard, lots of fasteners etc. It's only made of MDF so treat it carefully as there is no strength in these frames until they are secured in place. The paint is nice and uniform and very hard. The pre drilled holes are blind so you will need to complete them yourself. Also, despite giving extremely accurate measurements (by laser) they make them around 8mm smaller all around. Therefore you will need to buy packing spacers used in the window and door fitting industry (cheap and online) to get them in snug and square. Take your time fitting them and they look really great. Would recommend this company (and in fact I have done to our neighbors).

DO NOT USE ABSOLUTE CON ARTIST & THIEVES. Took over £1000 of our money took months to send 3 shutters. Finally arrived one incorrect size (admitted their error) and another broken (manufacturing error) had purchased their Surefit policy which was activated and new shutters ordered but no replacement shutters ever sent, NOW claim no order was ever made, instructed to dispose of damaged shutters to a charitable organisation. Endless phone calls and promises that Manager would ring back but never did until I opened PayPal dispute. Then rung and was thoroughly vile and adamant wasn’t going to help. Horrendous customer service with very rude to the point of nasty staff. Tried to get refund through PayPal but failed because we couldn’t send shutters back because they instructed us to dispose of them. To date, still no replacement shutters, over £1000 out of pocket, zero communication, Surefit policy not worth the paper it was written on. Have been left in tears and broken at the hands of these monsters £1000 is allot of money and I can’t afford it again.

The shutter was well made and fit quite well,old window not exactly equal all round,but still good fit,it really changes the look of window,my only gripe is the 12/13 week delivery time,would recommend them if you don’t mind waiting.would probably order another to balance the staircase.all my other windows will get blinds.

Returning customer to Shutters Direct and have recommended them to others. Recent order arrived with one shutter slightly damaged - Customer Services were very apologetic and said a new shutter would be sent. Overall excellent quality for the price.

Great product, which would be 5stars, but took 3wks longer than advised at the start, hence 4 stars
