In response to Silver mushroom reply to my post. I hadn’t had an offer for refund or a satisfactory response as suggested so I emailed them again. Customer service was somewhat improved and an alternative offered, which I accepted and was delivered to me super fast. Many thanks Pat

Just don’t bother

Updating the post due to the shop denying any order. My order number is #234432
I have STILL not received it and STILL not received any refund in my next day delivery payment.

Just don’t bother. They took the money, allowed me to pay £9.95 for next day delivery as it was a birthday present I needed and only because I chased it up have they told me that the item isn’t even in stock. I’ve now had no communication since, despite me asking when I will receive my order. Wish I’d seen all of these negative reviews before ordering. I’ll be requesting a full refund - let’s see how that goes or if it ever comes back!

New customer not happy

New customer, went to pay credit card bill realised charged £9.99 for next day delivery. Didn’t even want or need next day delivery, it was supposed to be free. Paid via Apple Pay, presume that was sneaked in. Be warned!

Thank you for insulting my intelligence on how website checkouts work rather than getting it checked out why it has defaulted to next day delivery when you can see I’ve added items to purposely take me over the £50 to have free delivery.

My colleague said try checking out again. I did without paying fault on checkout that Apple Pay defaults to next day delivery. It really is awful when companies assume customers are stupid rather than looking into if it’s a fault. Anyone shopping here, don’t use Apple Pay!!!

Hi Gemma, I am sorry you were unhappy with the shipping selection. This is absolutely not sneaked in, we have various shipping options available and you may select the one you want at the checkout. I have just double checked this on both an iphone and computer and underneath the cart totals, there are two options of Next Day and Standard. Occasionally the Next Day will not show (If the item is not available immediately) but the Standard option is always there (which is free over £50). Once again, I apologise that you've ended up paying for a shipping service you did not need but please rest assured this is working as it should and is certainly not sneaked in. Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service. We ordered 4 x stools. We managed to build 3 of them but the fourth was faulty. Silver mushroom arranged collection of the faulty stool and delivery of a replacement. No hassle or fuss. Would highly recommend.

Bad communication about any issues

I emailed to query one of my items that appeared to contain rot and they just never got back to me. Otherwise the products are lovely. It was just one item I had an issue with and I believed it to just be bad luck - sometimes items can be faulty. The biggest disappointment is the disregard and ignoring my attempts to email them. If you get non faulty items then fab. If you run into issues then you’ll see if just another company that doesn’t care about customer relations, they have the money and that’s where it ends for them.

Fantastic choice

I found such a lovely range on the website. Even items that I needed to complete a collection (artisan street).
It was well packaged and arrived quickly.

Faulty item, very poor costumer service

I ordered a stool, I built it, and it was faulty. The seat part didn’t fit to the legs, was completeley misshaped.

I requested costumer service a pick up and a full refund for the faulty item. I was told they are unable to organise a pick up, although I mentioned I do not own a car, and our drop off point quite far. I am elderly and they were expected me to walk with a built chair on my back to a drop off point, after sending a faulty item ??

I ended up buying some carpenter tools and fixed myself. All for extra cost of mine of course.

Not to mention the delivery was long, 11 days ( says 2-7 on the website) .

Quality control and costumer service needs improving.

Hi Ella. Thank you for your feedback. As we do not advertise or operate a free returns service, we use a collect plus account to assist our customers with faulty returns. This is a drop off service only, but if you are not happy with this you can arrange a collection online and provide a receipt. If the item were found to be faulty, this could have been reimbursed. The stools are shipped in a very slim flat pack box, which it would have simply packed back up in in order to easily ship back. I apologise that you are not satisfied with this returns policy but I do believe options were offered on this occasion and the staff did their best to accommodate you. Kindest Regards. Rebecca

Wonderful niche finds!

Items were delivered carefully protected. They were beautiful and are lovely additions to our home. My favourite are the little tea pots-now I can get more tea from one bag. Perfect!

My order was delayed from their supplier and so I was upgraded to next day delivery which did help. It is nice that you can actually get to speak to someone and their business is not just carried out via email which is slow and impersonal

My goods still haven't arrived and I have been chasing for several weeks now. A disappointing experience and something of a mystery as to the whereabouts of my order.

Update - in response to your reply. Despite telling me someone would contact me yesterday I was not contacted. I have emailed you again and still no reply. Please could you respond as promised.

Stumbled across this site by accident

Stumbled across this site by accident, but what a great selection of home goods. Some really different stuff on here and well worth a browse. We were just purchasing a mundane electrical socket for our kitchen island, but the price on Silver Mushroom was the best value by far, and I searched everywhere on the web. We will be back to order more things in the future for sure!!

Great experience, would use again

Tbh was worried about using this company due to the odd bad review and the items I wanted weren’t the cheapest! But took a gamble and was very happy!

I had 2 separate orders. The first one included 2 bedside table lamps and when it arrived I was disappointed to find only 1 lamp had arrived. I sent an email and they responded straight away being very apologetic and sent the missing one out with tracked delivery very fast.

The other order was a larger item that they didn’t have in stock when I ordered. I emailed to try and get more accurate dates on when they’d have it and again they responded after a day with the information I needed and an accurate estimated dispatch date.

Also really appreciate that they send items free delivery with DPD to Northern Ireland. Often so disappointed to find companies don’t send here or add a silly charge to do so. The items were all quite fragile and all arrived well packaged and as expected.

5 Stars for Customer Service

5 stars for customer service, but a little less overall... the positives were being able to buy the Nkuku lamps I wanted at a very good discount from Silver Mushroom, and when things weren't quite right with one of the lamps the team were fantastic (responsive, reassuring, made me feel they were doing everything they could to sort out the issue)... the downside was a long initial delay in the product coming into stock, despite it showing as available on their website, and then long waits for stock while sorting out a replacement for the lamp that was the wrong colour. The whole process took 4 months from beginning to end. That said, the team perservered to get things right for us, and were friendly and professional throughout... and now everything is sorted, I am loving my new lamps!

Excellent Service

I was really impressed with the service I received, just before Christmas when many of my online orders were not turning up or arriving late, my silver mushroom order was on time and undamaged. The products were packed well and very good quantity. I am extremely pleased with everything.
