The meals are lovely. Very flavourful and so easy and convenient when me and my partner both work different hours and have different tastes. My only complaint is the recipes tend to be very similar we... See more

Do not trust this company! The first week of deliveries, several of the meals were damaged and open on delivery so inedible, I contacted them and they said they would just add a couple of extra meals on my next delivery!!! Two things wrong with that, first thing is Im now down several meals for the week, and secondly what if I decide I dont want to use them again ive basically lost 20 odd pound.
Anyway. I did decide to use them again, and the second weeks deliveries were fine with no issues, however the third week box came and again meals were damaged and open so again inedible!
This time I had a enough so requested to have my subscription cancelled which was acknowledged by them.
However, three weeks later I randomly had £75 pound taken from my account by them! I immediately got in touch as obviously furious, and they said there's nothing they can do as they've already ordered the food!! Well, I didnt order the bloody food did I, so it seems that they can just decide to steal money after you have cancelled a service, send you random food you didnt want and claim theres nothing they can do.
Absolute fraudsters do not trust or use this service as they are thieves and con artists
Food tastes great. Much better than other meal prep companies. Service is great (in particular zidane)
So far every meal was absolutely delicious. Very tasty, fresh and convenient on the go.
As someone who hates cooking but loves good food, this is the perfect recipe for a tasty match. I've enjoyed all of the healthy portioned meals and the convenience of wholesome fresh food in 3 mins. I can't afford to do it constantly, but will definitely dip in and out especially when I have a busy week and no time to shop or cook. Great quality and doesn't take up loads if space in the fridge. Great they can also go in the freezer 👍🏼
Missed the cut-off to pause/cancel my order for the week…
Sent an email to the support team & Alex C got back to me confirming they would be able to pause my order as a one-off on this occasion, and also mentioned as the ingredients were already ordered, they would be going to a local charity so nothing was wasted!
Unreal customer service & a nice touch from the company!
I use meal prep services for lunch and dinner every day and I have been for the last 2 years. I've been an on and off simmer eats customer during that time (along with a couple other services) but I would estimate I have received over 40 deliveries from simmer eats. Until last month, I'd decided on a meal prep service of choice and it wasn't simmer eats, but with the world cup promo, I decided to pause the other service and order from simmer for the month to save a little money.
The food was just as I remembered, flavour wise, average at the best of times and a 3/10 at the worst. The portion sizes are also laughable when compared to other services and nutritionally, I find their claims of protein content sketchy. All of this would be enough for a 2 star review but this brand has done my head in.
Firstly, the reason this brand is so popular is because it runs an absolute behemoth of a marketing operation. Safe to say most of the money this brand makes goes into shoving it down your throats through ads on Instagram and the like. They run all kinds of utterly insufferable campaigns such as fake podcast clips where a non-descript person speaks into a mic about "how good simmer eats is" (it's not) or another kind of ad they run is the owner speaking about why he created the brand (he's a knobhead). What truly ticked me off though was the recent campaign they've invested in which is advertising their brand with AI and generative AI which all but confirms that the owner truly does not care about providing you with good food or to support you in your fitness goals as he so claims, it's painfully obvious that this guy only cares about his bottom line. Please do yourself a favour and research on some other meal prep services, I promise you there are some out there that eclipse simmer in nutrition, flavour, and customer service.
Secondly, what really drove me to write this review, their manipulative, deliberately confusing cancel process. If I'm looking to cancel a subscription, I expect it to be as simple as clicking a cancel button and maybe a second step where I'm asked if I'm sure that I want to cancel. Instead, you won't find a cancel option on the simmer eats website (at least I couldn't). I had to google how to cancel and then click on a link through a forum. This is where it gets really dark. They throw all kinds of misleading wording and manipulative tactics at you to deliberately confuse you and put as many obstacles in your way as they can before you can cancel. I'm serious, I have never seen anything this bad before. I'm a well educated person and I truly had to take my time and read every page and every button carefully to try and figure out how to cancel. Trust me, it is not at all easy. It even confused me once, I thought I cancelled and it turned out all I did was pause my meals for the month. I had to start the process all over again to cancel. It's probably a 8 step process with about 10 different buttons you have to carefully read and click to get to the actual cancellation.
I'm not a malicious person but for all intents and purposes, I hope this brand goes bankrupt and the owner gets a reality check on making his brand people-first instead of money-first. There are many expletives that come to mind that I'm going to refrain from saying about this person but truly just a horrific experience.
i love all the meals ive been getting and all the weight ive been losing!
Great tasting. Great price. Just nice and easy no worrying about what’s for dinner
Thank you ...a nice variety of meals for when you are busy
Some lovely meals, making sure I eat properly each day, only downfall is there is a lot of meals which are spicy.
Simplified my life and I’ve lost 5kg in 3 weeks. What’s not to love.
There is basically no complaints of customer service. I had paused my subscription and was charged. They said I could change my address to reply to email but they bounced my reply. No further replies. Bascially you are trapped and unable to cancel.
Helpful, fast service. Nice and easy to select meals each week and takes a lot of effort out of having to decide what to eat and cook
MY TEMPER IS SIMMERING!
On Facebook I saw an advertisement featuring Simmer Foods. They were offering a half price deal during the World Cup for 10 meals and the price was reasonable. I carefully (I thought) chose this one-off offer. I was very careful not to pick any subscriptions and duly paid for my order of 10 meals the sum of £44.44p which included delivery.
I got that on Sunday and having then tasted 2 meals decided I wouldn’t order anymore because as a retired caterer myself, felt I could have done better.
Just as I thought this, I looked at my banking app and saw that Simmer had charged me another £51.93p for my next order! It was an order I didn’t know I’d placed nor picked any meals for. I the n emailed them to cancel and they charged me £9.95p for the privilege. They told me I’d misunderstood that it was a month’s subscription and it was too late to stop the delivery amounting to £51.93p.
With a deep breath I decided that I wouldn’t order anymore, accepting partial responsibility for the situation.
Simmer then contacted me on 16th July to say my subscription was.now cancelled and they were sorry to lose me.
Today on 22nd July I have found their cancellation dept called Unsubby has taken a further £10.95p fro me. I immediately sent an email to them stating my current status wth Simmer. I also replied to Simmer’s email that had told me my subscription was now cancelled only to have my email returned saying the web address didn’t exist and to check it was correct! I went back and did so finding I had made no error as I had used the reply button. This time, I made sure I confirmed the address by writing it down as well and so sent it again but unfortunately resulted in another error email from Google!
This Company which I thought was sound obviously isn’t! Just another vampire enterprise that’s trying to suck the living out of vulnerable people they think they can take advantage of.
I just insist they refund my £10.95p they’ve stolen and never darken my doors again.
Be careful anyone out there thinking this might be a good alternative to catering for yourself!!

Poor poor customer service.
Ordered at 2am last night requested to cancel by email and instagram within the same hour. They finally get back to me 5pm the next day telling me I can’t be refunded because they sent my order to fulfilment. 13 hours after my request to cancel it was sent.
Any opportunity to refuse a customer a refund. I got a response off there instagram at 9am telling me I had to email which I already had. They reply 2 hours after they send my order to fulfilment.
Joke of a company
Placed my order with no issues, they arrived very well packaged and chilled perfectly on time and on the delivery date. I ordered the meals with the highest protein as im a Tennis Athlete that needs to keep up my protein and veggies while on the go. The Spanish chicken Bravas with 47.7 g of protein was excellent! Cooked in 3 mins from chilled , jyst pick out what you want from the freezer, stick it in the fridge, and it doesn't matter if you're tired when you get back from training there's a healthy tasty meal ready to go, i would highly recommend this company for sure 👍🏼 Noah
Honestly wish I'd read more reviews before signing up.
I joined Simmer thinking it was a flexible subscription I could manage week to week. What I didn't realise is that if you don't skip your order before Tuesday at 1pm, they just charge you automatically. Which is fine except they're supposed to send you a reminder email before that cut-off - "plus a reminder email before the weekly cut-off." Their own customer support told me this. I never got one. Checked inbox, checked spam, nothing:
So I got charged for a box I didn't even know was coming.
I messaged them straight away, explained I never got the reminder and that this charge meant I literally couldn't afford my groceries that week. They didn't care. Wouldn't give me a full refund. The best they offered was 50% back if I donated the meals to a shelter. That was it.
I went back and forth with them multiple times. Even pointed out that their own emails to me confirmed the reminder is part of their process. Still nothing. They actually told me if I disputed it with my bank, they'd challenge it.
So basically, their system didn't do what it was supposed to, I got charged without any heads up.
If you sign up, genuinely set your own alarm every week because you cannot rely on them to remind you. And if something goes wrong, don't expect them to make it right.
Also the reason I cancelled in the first place is because the food tastes awful and has a strong acidic/chemical taste to every meal.
Won't be coming back.
