This surprised my whole family. We have tried many different providers before, but this is definitely the tastiest one. Everything was incredibly fresh and full of flavour. I would definitely recommend them.

This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have had. I would highly recommend anyone considering using Simmer to read my review and other reviews first and really think if they’re willing to take the risk!
I paused my subscription through Simmer Eats' online platform for the maximum period it would allow and received email confirmation that my deliveries had been paused.
Several weeks later, my credit card was charged for an order that I did not place, did not authorise and was completely unaware existed. I never unpaused my subscription, selected any meals and received no order confirmation or notification before my card was charged. The first I knew about it was when I saw the payment leave my account, followed by a DPD delivery notification the very next day. This “order” followed no pattern as to my previous delivery day!
I immediately contacted Simmer Eats and advised them I would be refusing the delivery because I had never authorised the order.
Instead of investigating how an order had been generated after my subscription had been paused, customer services repeatedly sent me responses about their 1pm Tuesday cut-off for cancellations. They completely failed to address the actual issue: I was not trying to cancel an order—I was disputing an order that I never authorised in the first place.
Despite explaining this repeatedly, they have refused to issue a refund and have still not explained:
why my paused subscription resulted in an order (and selected a random day for delivery);
what authority they relied on to charge my card;
why I received no order confirmation before payment was taken; or
what evidence they have that I authorised this purchase.
Even more concerning, this is the second time this has happened to me. It also happened to my mother in law. After reading other reviews, I can also see that I am far from the only customer reporting unexpected charges after pausing a subscription. Which leads me to suspect this is a common issue with subscribers.
In my opinion, Simmer Eats' subscription online system/platform is highly confusing, difficult to manage, requires a ridiculous amount of click throughs and appears to place the burden on customers to constantly monitor their accounts to ensure unwanted orders have not been generated.
Until Simmer Eats properly addresses these issues and takes responsibility when things go wrong, I cannot recommend them and suggest people avoid this company. I will be pursuing this matter through my credit card provider and the appropriate consumer protection channels to make sure that this is investigated properly.
The food is overpriced and mediocre at best, glorified aeroplane food in my opinion. This company spends more money on marketing and not enough on ensuring they provide a quality service and satisfactory customer service. Lesson learned - don’t be influenced by Instagram!

The food is excellent. Great variety on the menu. Ordering is simple. Make life on the go so much simplier. Dont have to plan ahead meals everyday just reach for a simmer and its ready to enjoy in minutes. Has given us so much time back each week.

Love Simmer! We’ve just had our first baby so finding time to eat meals is hard, never mind fresh ingredients, heated in minutes and that tastes amazing! We’re keen on keeping our protein intake up so being able to choose bigger/higher protein portions is amazing. Also love the fact it’s a family run business. Zidane Actually reacted out personally to see how our experience has been. Would 100% recommend.

Meals are tasty, easy to heat up and I like that they have the calorie content on each box. Marie was helpful with a follow up call too.

Quality ingredients like the way vegetables are included in each meal always full after eating good amount of meat in the meals not just rice and meat very imaginative with the ingredients and the flavours in all meals

Great for a cut when you need to watch your calorie intake and track your macros closely. I do think there’s room for improvement when it comes to taste - it’s okay, but nothing special. The chicken is usually a little too dry, and the rice can be overcooked.
That said, when you need something healthy, high in protein and easy to track, it does the job well. I’m currently in my second week, so I’ll see how it goes, but at the moment I’m not sure I’d pay the full price. Great on delivery and packaging.
Thanks to Lily for reaching out to me and inviting me to leave this review!

I tried the first week with the 10-meal plan (2 meals per day) because it was 35% off, so I paid £47. I received the first order on Monday, but I only managed to try two meals found the portions quite small and wasn't impressed with the taste couple of the order.
Then, on Tuesday, they charged me another £63 without me even choosing my meals first. That really annoyed me, so I cancelled my subscription because I found this practice unethical. I assumed I would receive the same meals I had selected for the first week, but instead, the second delivery contained randomly selected meals.
Ironically, the portions in the second order were much bigger, but since I hadn't chosen the meals, I ended up throwing about half of them in the bin because I didn't like them.
Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I won't be using this service again. For the same price, I would much rather order Chinese food, which I find far better and in terms of both taste and value.
Hi, Update 22.07.26
Thank you for your response and for taking the time to contact me directly. I appreciate the apology and the way you handled my complaint.
I'm also grateful that you issued a full refund for the second order. After speaking with your team, I understand that being charged for the second box so quickly was a genuine mistake and not how your service normally operates.
While my first experience was disappointing, I appreciate the professionalism shown in resolving the issue. Thank you again for listening to my concerns and putting things right. I wish you and the team all the best.

I’m a student and content creator based in Edinburgh. I’ve been loving my experience with Simmer Eats. As someone with a hectic schedule, finding meals that are quick, convenient, and actually delicious can be tough, but every single dish has been yummylicious!
I have to pick a few favorites, the sausages and bell peppers hash for breakfast and the butter chicken are absolute standouts. And let's take a moment for the overnight chocolate brownie oats—so good!
Such a lovely family-run business too. Highly recommend! Keep going ✨

These are so much better than meals from supermarkets. The ingredients seem of a better quality level & the flavours are far better!…
The things I’m most impressed with are the time I spend preparing my meals now & how I feel less hungry. Cheers

The food is delicious, and good quality. My only criticism would be the delivery has been inconsistent, one of my deliveries didnt arrive until 8pm.

-Confusing interface
-Customer support trying to cooperate but that is just to be formal while on record. One way road if you come with issues regarding finances.
-Food is not ‘wow’ the way they advertise, it is relatively simple and nothing special
More about the issue I had - I cancelled my sub, did not even pick the meals for the week, but appearantly they still go ahead and debit the funds and just randomize the selection. My reason for cancelling was that I will be on holiday and I don’t need it as no one will take it in, as well as I just simply don’t want it anymore.
Do not recommend, pretty average service if you take out the appearance online out of the equation. There are better options out there one hundred percent.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! - Ordered my first box on Sunday evening, payment taken for the meals, no welcome email, no order confirmation email, no instructions emailed on how the subscription works, its now Tuesday, less than 48 hours after my first order, and they have taken another payment, so £75 in 48 hours!!
I emailed them and apparently cut off is 1pm on Tuesday to choose my next meals, no email received to advise me of the cut off, no email inviting me to choose my next lot of meals, absolute FRAUD!!!
My husband ordered at the same time, exactly the same has happened to him, he has also not received one email from Simmer Eats. Apparently I can choose to donate my next box to a homeless charity if I want too now as they are refusing a refund, how kind of them!! Bank is giving me my money back, avoid these absolute thiefs at all costs!!! My husband also ordered 10 meals and more than half of them were substituted, most of them substituted for vegetarian options! I cannot warn you enough to stay away from this company

I’m happy & satisfied, if anything i’ll let you know myself going forward. It was nice talking to Marie!

The food is AMAZING and so much variety.
The only thing I struggle with as a single person is getting them all eaten from the fridge before I have to freeze them - but that’s a me issue!
Highly recommend for quality.
