I didn’t want to do this

I didn’t want to do this, but they have let me with no choice. I place my order on 15th October and even to this date it is showing processing.
After repeated mails I get one sentence reply as they are checking. I’m so disappointed being a international client and mentioning to them that the package will take 3 weeks to receive they are not concerned or are even bothered to do anything. They lost one of my package of USD 200/- and when I got a reply they are not responsible, I should have stopped buying from them. They are recommended buy some of the famous Card Guru’s. I wonder if they even know our plight.

This online store is terrible

This online store is terrible. Waited 3 days processing period and one month delivery. The sad thing is, I did not received any of my orders and they asks me to wait for another month. What the heck is wrong with this kind of people. They offer zero help with their customers. I will never buy in this store again.

I really like a many of their SSS …

I really like a many of their SSS products, I like being able to purchase across many product lines and designers in one place BUT, their pricing is higher, shipping costs are excessive, shipping is painfully slow and customer service is largely unresponsive. I, like many others, am finding other vendors for my business. I have spent over $2000 with them just this year and considering the above factors I feel it's time to move my business, with the exception of their product line, elsewhere. I am waiting now for 2 orders placed 2 weeks ago that are still in processing. One of them contains paper that I needed to complete a Halloween project, today is 10/29. The most frustrating part is the customer service. It is the least expensive and most valuable part of doing business. Much of the frustration people are experiencing could have been allayed by good communication with their customers. Two of my favorite businesses are My Favorite Things and Honey Bee Stamps. MFT recently renovated their order fulfillment warehouse. They posted the announcement on their homepage so that anyone doing business with them would know there were potential delays. I placed an order during this process, did not notice a delay yet I received a full sized die set as a thank you for being patient! Honey Bee is responsive, courteous and so nice to deal with. I will forgive a plethora of ills if a company treats me well. SSS has fallen way short.

Very disappointed in their customer …

Very disappointed in their customer service. I placed an order on the 23rd and it is still processing. I did some research and discovered one of the items I ordered was now out of stock. It wasn't when I ordered but it is now. I received no communication from the company, but of course, my credit card was already charged. When I placed this order, I also placed an order with 2 of their competitors. Those companies shipped my orders out the next day; I received one order on the 25th and the other the 26th.
I have requested cancellation of my order with simon says, we'll see how that goes.

It takes forever to get your items …

It takes forever to get your items after ordering! I think the shipping cost is also rediculous. It is very easy to accidentally order the same item twice but they will not allow you to change your order even if it is 2 minutes after you place the order. So why do they take over 2 weeks to complete your order??

Rotten Customer service

I've had the same poor experience that other reviewers have already detailed. Glacier slow processing, ignored emails and "how dare you complain" attitude when they got it wrong. Shop only if you can't find the products elsewhere and expect to wait a long long time for your purchases.

This company makes no apologies for their bad service

This company. OMG are they frustrating. I've waited as long as 15 days for an order to ship that included only non-reserve, in-stock items. The website is horrible. Want to know your shipping information? You better pray you receive the email because they don't show squat on the website other than your original order information. No date of shipment, no tracking number, nothing. They offer this Order Tracking feature and do you know what that's for? You would think to track your order (as in it's shipping)...newp...it retrieves your original order with no processing information. I'm becoming more and more appalled that the crafting gurus recommend them. Also, be very, very careful what you buy on this site as they go full-on MSRP. Not as much of a biggie if you pay $14.99 for a set of stamps versus $13, but if you go for something like colored pencils you're looking at $150 versus $40 and $59 for the same set found on Amazon and DickBlick respectively. ALWAYS comparative shop. Also, don't ever dial customer service expecting an answer. Expect it to go to voicemail. If you email them about your order status expect for them to air their dirty laundry by telling you how busy they are (like how dare you inquire). This store has great products but they do what they want, when they want and make no apologies. I've committed to only purchasing their brand of stamps there as I cannot get them anywhere else. I shop at 7 different online stores for the rest and am perfectly okay with it because my orders are processed on average within 24-36 hours. This company makes no apologies for their bad service nor do they recognize consumer purchasing expectations with non-brick-and-mortar shops.

I thought it was just me but from what …

I thought it was just me but from what I see it’s not. Their shipping is the slowest ever! They don’t answer the phone nor their emails. Not sure why it’s takes a week and a half to ship something. They never offer free shipping. I am starting to wonder about their praise given by some of the craft gurus. I mean they are affiliated so of course they are going to praise them.

The prices are higher, no free shipping, and poor customer service. I will find another store to purchase from.

Over the past 3 years I've placed 8 …

Over the past 3 years I've placed 8 orders with Simon Says Stamp and as of today, it was my last. They are so slow at shipping it is ridiculous. I have owned an online business myself for almost 20 years and I ship items within 24 business hours and I have to actually make my items and not just pull them from a shelf. If I am busy, like we are at the holidays, I hire temp employees. I have no idea what is going on at SSS but one order might ship the next day and then my last order took 2 weeks to ship and it was for 3 sets of stamps, all of which were in stock, so what the heck is going on with them.

Don't even get me started on their prices. At markerpop or loads of smaller online stores you can get at least 10% or 15% off the MSRP but SSS rarely has a sale. For instance, they sell a watercolor set (Mission Gold Water Color Palette Set, 36 Colors) for $123.99 or I can go to amazon and get it for just $61.99 with free shipping and it is sold at that price from 16 different sellers, all with FREE SHIPPING and at half the price of SSS. That is just ONE instance. They are absolutely ridiculous.

Personally, I love crafting and I love supporting smaller businesses who design and create their own products but SSS needs to learn, they are not the only players in this field. I can shop at dozens of other scrapbook places who work hard to make sure the customer is happy. The only thing SSS has going for them is that they are great at marketing, so they work with a lot of youtubers and bloggers to create one of a kind designs that only they sell, but I'm done buying into that crap. I will no longer give money to a company who treats their customers like we are bothering them and are an inconvenience.
I really wish some of those youtubers would have a chat with SSS because to be honest, every time SSS pisses me off, it makes the youtuber look bad as well. But I honestly wonder if they even care.

Terrible customer service!!

Terrible customer service!!! I spent almost $300 and called back to try to add items within a few hours...I was told they can't add items to their system. So, my reply was that if I placed another order I don't feel it's fair to add more shipping! Basically, I was told that I unfortunately do have to pay shipping. Unbelievable since I'm a new customer and spent a lot!!! I will never order from them again!!!

Poor service

I have only placed 2 orders with them because they are so much slower than other suppliers. Also they rarely have sales or good discounts. Why buy from them when I can get items at Joanns or Michaels for a much better price. There are also many new places coming up in my searches for products that have free shipping or other good deals.

Recommended but be on your guard

SSS is great because of the array of products they offer - lots of variety, lots of exclusivity, and great reliability. However, I recommend them with caution, mainly because of their service.

It certainly doesn't help matters that they're very well connected and spoken with praise among the cardmaking gurus of the internet who constantly either review or design for SSS. They've certainly built their reputation nicely with the support of all the card making community praising them. And to a certain extent I agree that SSS offers great original, unique products and makes shopping for card crafting materials very, very easy.

My grain of salt to add to this wonderful site is that they, in return, offer relatively little in return. SSS rarely has sales, or if they do it's for ONE brand at very odd, spontaneous times, and not even for much. People have had issues with their shipping/handling speed, which is very inconsistent. Sometimes a product will say it's in stock but they'll be slow to ship out when it's in high demand. People have waited weeks for products to ship - after that UPS takes its standard 2 days, which is great, but all card crafting sites have this. Also, SSS, while great with defective items (they send you a new one), are terrible at helping with the in between stages, where you accidentally placed additional item orders and want to change it before it gets shipped. I had another experience at a different site where I was able to get this changed within minutes, whereas SSS would not help me in this case. It's a tough market, and even if SSS doesn't have to do this help, having that option elsewhere makes SSS look...worse.

So, in essence, I would recommend SSS but only after you've exhausted your other options. If you can buy at other places, do so! Try to maximize elsewhere before resorting to SSS.

Simon Says Stamp carries the best selection you can find out there in the paper crafting world. They get the newest releases quickly and have all of the basics you could possibly need. The people behind it all are wonderful and there to help and support when needed! I highly recommend Simon Says Stamp for your crafting needs!
