Horrible experience

Horrible experience. They recently switched my brand for the third time and I’ve spent the entire month going back and forth with them because it sometimes takes 10+ days for customer service to respond by email. They don’t provide a phone number so email is the only way to communicate. Now that I finally have the brand sorted out, it’s been 5 days since my order has been “ready” and it still hasn’t shipped. I’m due for my next pack tomorrow and now I’m going to be delayed without medication because they take FOREVER to do anything. For a service that is specifically supposed to be simple and make life easier, this is the biggest hassle ever. Definitely just getting in with my OB to have them prescribe it from now on. Don’t waste your time.

Considering Going on Birth Control…

If you are considering getting on birth control, just go to a doctor. Simple health services and horrible. I got charged $45 for pills months after I opted out. They don’t answer your questions, they take days to respond. And they don’t pay attention to any of your issues when prescribing pills. I experience chronic migraines and have ibs, and got put on the multi pill which made me incredibly sick. I sent them an email about it, didn’t get a response until 3 days later. They didn’t even bother to answer all of my questions. On top of that, they don’t even have a line to call. Just overall crappy service and you’re better off getting your pills covered by insurance, because even though they claim to take insurance, they don’t take blue cross blue shield or Medicare. Overall just a super stressful service to go with.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

As many other people have reviewed, SimpleHealth charged me out of pocket after apparently “going cash based”. They said they sent an email out earlier this month but I never received such an email (and ‘earlier this month’ would've been a couple days prior as it was the beginning of the month.) I had gotten this response about a week after I contacted them, which I had to do multiple times. I kept pushing until I got another response, which told me they were taking it to higher-ups to handle. Then they told me they would not refund me and I had to reimburse through my insurance because “the total was shown at checkout” which it was not, my total said “FREE” as it always did because it had gone through my insurance. I was not made aware that suddenly it would charge my card at any point, and I cannot remove my card information myself. I’m waiting on another response after telling them to remove my information from their database, and hopefully they’ll comply and I won’t see another mention of their name.

Avoid at all costs.

This is my first time writing a review on trustpilot because I feel inclined to not let the same thing that happened to me happen to other people.

When I first signed up for SimpleHealth, it seemed too good to be true: practically free service ($15 one time fee when joining), free delivery, modern-looking website with easy to use interface, and they texted me every time something was needed from me. It seemed so bullet-proof. I was excited to not have to worry about my birth control anymore.

I received my first order pretty late, but it arrived in time and was just as they promised: $0. When it came time to get my refill three months later, I received a text saying they were no longer taking my insurance "as our business has transitioned to a cash-pay only." What?

Why would I pay for birth control when my insurance covered it?

The new charge was $20/ pack, $60 for three-month supply. I told them to please cancel this and any future orders from SimpleHealth, to which they responded nicely with instructions for how to transfer my prescription over to a local pharmacy. The instructions did not work.

It turns out that the prescriber they gave me for my birth control cannot be reached. I called the number given and the clinic said that it has been many years since that doctor was at the clinic... and they had no forwarding contact information. Interesting. My insurance can't reach the doctor either. I can't get a refill without the doctor's approval.

I have reached out to SimpleHealth for insight on this but it has been a week and I still have not heard back. This is very suspicious activity. I would NOT recommend this service to ANYONE. I wish I read the reviews on this website before wasting my $15 with them. Others have been charged and can't get their money back, so I consider myself lucky; though I feel anxiety not being able to fully "delete" my account and worry they will charge me randomly. I don't trust this company at all.

There are many positive high ratings displayed on their website, but I'm realizing now that they must be fake. Please carefully read the reviews on trustpilot by real customers before making your decision with SimpleHealth if you want to avoid a headache and potential fraud.

Total waste of time

I was charged $80 on August 1st for my four
month pill refill. I STILL have not even received a
shipping confirmation much less my pills. I'm
completely unprotected against pregnancy. Today I
was charged $80 again. This is ridiculous and
"please give us up to 5 business days to respond" is
absolutely unacceptable when it comes to important health issues.

Liars

Twice now they have given a timeline for a response from me and not held to it. They send a text with “you have x number of days to…” and then the day before that timeline is up they say “we didn’t hear from you so we’re canceling”. It’s ridiculous and a huge hassle. For something that is supposed to make life easier they sure are good at making problems and life more difficult.

After reading a couple of the reviews

After reading a couple of the reviews , I see that simple health kept changing my brand maybe because they didn’t have the item anymore. I told their doctor I didn’t want to use a particular brand and I researched it. She told me to take reviews with a grain of salt. Happy people don’t complain only negative people take the time to write a negative review.

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!

I’ve been dealing with them for almost 2 weeks now. At first they claimed that my insurance doesn’t cover plan B(I’m on Medicaid it very much is covered) okay fine take that off my order. I hear nothing back about it. I message them again through email and through text to be told now supposedly my insurance isn’t active and so I need to pay 75$ for the birth control. My insurance is VERY active as a matter of fact I had to call my insurance company to verify my card information as I had to get a new card. I’ve told them flat out to cancel my order and that I will be calling my insurance company to make sure they weren’t charged because I never received the birth control. If they were charged I will be letting Medicaid file the fraud charges and let them go after the company. This company has been nothing but red flags. And they’ve been doing this to a lot of people, charging both their insurance and then also charging their bank accounts for it. So they better hope they didn’t because Medicaid is the federal government and they don’t play when it comes to fraud.

This company is a SCAM

This company is a SCAM. They lie about reaching out to insurance companies and there is NO way to delete your payment info unless you find someone at customer service to, and good luck with that. I first asked them for my preferred Birth control and was told that there would be a $27 copay, I told them I’ve never had a copay and they told me it was my insurance charging for it. So I tried to get the generic brand (which should have been free if not cheaper) then they told me it would be $60!! I told them to delete my information and that they were scamming people and they send me an email back apologizing profusely and trying to cover up their lying. Do not trust this company, they do NOT care about helping women.

Do not recommend.

I have had so much trouble with this company, so many issues have arose at every step. They don't even offer phone support, you have to email them and wait for a response. I'd recommend using a different online birth control provider, like nurx or something else.

SCAM... a SKEEVY Company At Best...

Several months ago, I went on-line to start researching easy and inexpensive ways to purchase birth control pills. I was delighted to find one. I do realize that BC pills are not a controlled substance, so I did not think twice when I discovered that I was able to simply order and have them delivered via the mail. I reviewed my projected order, and was informed via email by the company that my total charge was zero (00.00) - I incorrectly presumed that the insurance information I provided had picked up the full tab (I found out later that my insurance company was never even contacted by them). I was then informed that the exact prescription I requested was not something they delivered, so they offered me a substitute. I was leery about that; but was reassured (again, only by email) that my order, together with any final fees, would need to reviewed and authorized by me before any order would be sent out, as well as any fees I 'might' directly be responsible for, hence, their need for my private credit card information. Their assurances and reassurances were bogus. I tried to proactively cancel, and figured that when no one responded, and they did not have my consent or authorization, that they would not attempt to charge me over two months later. I was informed by my bank, over two months later, that they charged my bank account just a few days ago via my credit card number, for an extremely high dollar amount for BC pills. I did receive their package days after I found out that my bank authorized their charge on account that I had already closed. I asked for a refund and was kept on hold until after their office closed, and, in turn I was simply disconnected. I am waiting for a reply to my email to them, as their customer service over the phone was less than helpful. I am still negative in my previous bank account that I can no longer even access because of this debacle - nice. - Shame on me for not taking the time to search out and read any customer reviews prior to getting involved with this Organization....

Simple Health seems like it should be a good solution, however when I needed to switch birth control they were "out of stock" of the bc I wanted to change to, then when I went with another option and my insurance asked for a "medical necessity letter" to make the change Simple Health said they could not provide it and suggested I pay out of pocket for the medication. Not helpful at all. Do not recommend.

Great idea in theory

Great idea in theory, but the company doesn't do its best to make sure deliveries are on time or that the BC prescribed is the right amount for their patients. Within two days of me starting the Xulane patch, I was hit with intense nausea and vomiting, I couldn't even keep water down. Had to go to the hospital. I liked how they included the internal condom and emergency contraception, but now I'm weary to take anything they give me considering what the BC did to me.

Probably a scam

I filled out the initial questionnaire for birth control last week. I submitted everything and they said a doctor would contact me before my prescription ships to confirm the prescription I’m getting and decide whether that’s right for me. The also said I would have to approve the prescription before I get charged. Well the next email I got was telling my it already shipped and I was charged without and discussion of what exactly I was prescribed. I doubt a doctor ever actually looked it over. Fast forward a week to when the package was delivered. There’s no birth control in the package. Just emergency contraception. They completely forgot my birth control. The shipping conformation I received clearly states the package should include one packet of birth control and one emergency contraceptive pill. That’s when I found out they don’t have a number you can call for customer service. Just an email. It’s been several days and I have yet to receive an email back. The website says they have a test number which is supposedly quicker than the email response so I texted that as well at the same time I sent the email. They haven’t responded to that either. Doubtful this will ever get resolved.

This was a really good company when it was Nurx. Now they've merged with another company and they're really bad. I tried to get my BC prescription filled and their docs took it upon themselves to add scripts for emergency BC and some kind of condom, neither of which I wanted or needed. 2 weeks and several unanswered texts later I was informed my order was delayed because the condom was out of stock. Now I have to skip a month of the BC because a prescription I didn't want wasn't available.

These people are very cavalier about their patient's health and clearly don't care about anything but money (otherwise they wouldn't be scamming my insurance with scripts I didn't ask for). Stay far away. Use pandia.com instead.

Disappointed with the Service received

A friend of mine had two deaths in her immediate family in 2020, I wanted to ensure she received counseling so I paid for an annual counseling service (EAP). At the time of purchasing the plan, I explained my intentions and provided my friend's full personal details, name, date of birth, full postal address & email address to have the plan in her name and be sent to her directly via email. I provided my bank details for payment and had enquired at the time when I wanted to cancel the policy what was the process & was told as I just need to call and cancel. I made contact today to provide notice that I would like to cancel the plan after the year and was told that my friend needs to make contact to cancel. I asked why when I was setting up the plan, providing all her personal details no one ask for her contact Simply Health. There was a long pause and then it was repeated that my friend who the plan is in her name and not the bill payer needs to cancel the plan.

Can’t remove credit card from website or cancel from website

First shipment came on time no issues. But The birth control they sent me wasn’t reacting well with me. So I decided I didn’t want to receive that one anymore. I told them I didn’t want to receive the birth control anymore. I told them I didn’t want them to pick for me that I would pick for myself. They send me and email telling me they were sending out birth control to me even though I have no idea what birth control it is and I didn’t approve it. Even after stating that I did not want them to pick one for me. I wanted to pick it myself. I don’t know how it’s legal to send someone medication without them knowing what’s coming to them or them approving it. They don’t even have an option for you to just cancel your account on the website. Stay away from them! Try everything else except this company.

Don't fall for it!

ORIGINAL REVIEW 9/8/21: This pill factory makes its money by getting as many credit card numbers as possible and then making it impossible to stop the charges. What kind of shady operation disconnects its phone? Try it yourself: (646) 593-7500. It's impossible to delete your credit card from the site or to cancel an order. They refuse to send a reminder until AFTER the order ships, so you can't cancel it. You're just told to send an email and wait 3 days for a response. Well I sent them an email and now I've officially notified them that the order was fraudulent and unauthorized. I will issue a chargeback with Visa if they fail to cancel. But it's also Visa's fault because I can't block this company from making a charge again without reporting the card lost and getting a new card number. If SimpleHealth allowed me to cancel the transaction -- or Visa allowed me to block the company -- this wouldn't happen.

ADDITION 9/12/21: After sending an e-mail and a message to SimpleHealth's Facebook account telling them I will dispute the charge, they did issue a full refund. I also told them to close the account and delete my credit card number, so this shouldn't happen again. BTW, I was able to get their unpublished customer service number: (855) 513-5021.
