be aware of the risk of HIV infection
In May 2021, I contracted HIV from Six Senses Con Dao hotel employee. The level of antibodies and viral load, which was determined later in the hospital, corresponded to the primary acute infection, and therefore it was reliably confirmed that I had no such infection before May 2021.
The hotel management should pay more attention to the medical checkup of the staff.
How is it possible to serve in the hotel if you have chronic untreated HIV infection with detectable viral load and at the same time you know about your HIV status?
Also, as part of the insurance that you provide to employees as an employer, there is a wide range of screening lab tests. Certain groups of employees, such as cooks, spa employees who come into contact with the skin, must be tested on a mandatory basis and do it regularly. It is surprising how neglectfully the hotel management approaches the health status of its employees and jeopardizes the safety of guests in this hotel, including posing a threat to their health, which is a very urgent issue now during the COVID epidemic.
The employee who infected me with HIV is currently working at the hotel. You, as an employer, are responsible for this insured event. I hope you will help this employee get the necessary medical checkup and assist him in obtaining costly life-long HIV treatment. Your active participation will help prevent the spread and transmission of HIV infection. You are obliged to test staff for infectious diseases - HIV, Hepatitis, tuberculosis, dermatological infections, Covid-19, and so on. Employees who have been diagnosed with these infectious diseases must receive timely treatment under health insurance from the employer. In addition, the local police should notify the Mr. N. H. Than that he is a carrier of HIV infection and must take the necessary measures to prevent its spread, in addition, he must inform his sexual partners about the status of HIV infected, in case of evading this responsibility, the actions of Mr. N. H. Than will be regarded as a criminal act in accordance with the legislation of Vietnam.
