Skim-A-Round Reviews 

Save your money! This gimmick lasted six months! It is made of thin and flimsy material. I contacted customer support when I received a product with a crushed basket; they were prompt in sending me a replacement. I rarely had to remove the skim around to empty it, because it did not attract surface debris or spin half the time. I have a pool cover, so there isn’t that much surface debris. I had to run my variable speed pump on high to make the skim around spin and work. After one season, about 6 months, the entire bottom cracked/ disintegrated while I was removing the skimmer to empty it. The pump was turned off prior to removing the skimmer which had minimal debris (a few leaves and bugs) in the basket. I am now using my old heavier skimmer which is over 25 years old and keeps the debris off the surface of my pool without having to use a manual skimmer.

Skimmer stuck in FedEx purgatory…no number to call , this is pretty much a scam…will be filing a complaint with the BBB and pitting the owner on absolute blast. So sick of the companies thinking it’s cool to rip off customers. You know they read these reviews, they’re all bad!!

The worst company to deal with, I canceled my order the first day I placated it. They did not cancel they claim it's already been processed. After I received the item I tried to returning it and I was told I missed the 15 days return policy, even though I did not open the box or used the item. 4 emails to the company and they still act like bunch of kids. Would not recommend at all. The worst to deal with.

The Skim-A-Round product did not work for me. None of the 3 Rings provided created an appropriate seal. The product did not work functionally and was a disappointment. I have a high-end Pentair System and filter. One fact to keep in mind is that you will pay over $30 for the return shipping cost. That basically means you will be losing money should the item not work for you. Even if you get a refund for the item back you will still be a loser. Keep that in mind if you move forward with a purchase.

This skimmer basket does not work. It is a piece of garbage. And the company doesn't take returns.

It floats. I turned off the other returns and it still floats. I held it down for 3 minutes and it still didn’t work. I tried the other adapters and it still didn’t work.

the skimmer does not work. it floats and will not reseat after pump shuts off allowing all of the degree to go right into skimmer lines back to the filter. they keep you trying things with there self help videos and keep sending them even after you contact them to return they then say of sorry there is only a 15 day return window and you missed it. this is a crap product and a scam company they should be closed asap as a scam business

i tried to return brand new in box there is no way of getting in contact with them ripp off!!!

Not any better than any other basket. My debris basket broke. It has a lifetime warranty. They wanted 15.95 shipping just to ship that small part. A rip off. They never got back to me when I questioned their shipping cost thet never responded. A RIP OFF AND SCAM.

Absolute Junk. Cannot believe I got scammed by this company. Could not return, no way to contact them, all reviews on their facebook adds are absolute fakes. Will not allow you to review on their website of facebook. Threw the piece of junk in the recycle bin.

What a DISAPPOINTMENT!!! No customer service, no tech support. Paid almost $200 for a piece of garbage. I wish I would have found these reviews first. Shame on them....all customer service links and tech support links lead to their crappy videos that didn't come close to helping me. Basket doesn't spin and makes my vacuum system weak. They should re-evaluate their refusal to help customers. Very bad for business.

Worse mistake I have made recently. Piece of crap and waste of money. Better business bureau should shut this product down. Please do not purchase

Don't waste your money in this scam that I hope can be punish for their scam business. No phone # to contact them, no email, no contact us information, no business address. THX God I paid with my Amex and the card credit back to me the charge. A WASTED TIME !

Product did not work with my pool. Called and got a RMA# within allotted 15 day return period. Received an email that stated they received my return, would check it out to make sure it was in new condition (it was in perfect new condition in original packing) and to allow 10-14 days for refund to show. 20 days later, I cannot reach them by phone, email (replied to their email only to have it "Denied/ no-reply email address"). Found a LOT of other mad folks online, and found a phone number for the company. You get a recording telling you for questions go to their website...which offers NO Customer Service email or contact info. I have just reported them to my bank to get the charge reversed. I have the email showing they received their product back. I would STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. SCAMMERS. At least do your research on them before purchasing.

I bought this just prior to going in the hospital and was not able to properly evaluated it. Now that I have found out it doesn't work at all my trial period has run out. Frankly, my regular basket does a better job so don't waste your money on this piece of crap. I put my pool on full draw to the basket and could not get the vortex they have in the video so again this is as others say a pool technical scam and doubting if I hadn't gone into the hospital I still would not have recieved my money back.

Cheap poor design, horrible service, scam all the way around. Do not buy....I am telling you...it's a scam

The unit they sell is never an exact fit thus causing it move letting large debris go pass it into the pool plumbing and the pump. When the pump stops it floats up out of the skimmer location. Then when the pump turns on the basket comes down sideways it gets stuck and everything goes past it never ever being caught by the basket. There is no customers service telephone number anywhere. And there is no email or chat to talk to anyone there. It’s a scam company. There is an automated Internet return page and give you a return number. Once you return your item good luck ever getting a refund. I’ve been waiting for mine for a month

The company and products are a scam no customer service and no phone number for them to answer it They do not reply even to email please stay away

Please do not buy this faulty product. I did all of the troubleshooting every step and even adjusted the pool for these to work. When I tried to return they said there is only a 15 day return policy. I spent $80+ on two in ground skim around filters tried to return them and than they charged me full shipping for $27. I spent $27 to give something back. It has already shipped back to the company. All they were able to do was provide me a link to the terms and conditions. They really try to stick it to homeowners. I personally believe in shopping small to help out a business. I thought these guys would be someone I would see on a sharktank but based on their business ethics and not having a client focused mentality unfortunately it was a terrible mistake. Please do not trust their videos.
