The staff overall at this centre are very professional, friendly and welcoming.
The environment is immaculate and time is taken by all to thoroughly explain all treatments, answer any queries and provide the necessary information.
I have been seen here over a number of years and they have always been very personable, delivering treatments to a high standard and showing a high level of care to the client. The practitioner is knowledgeable and experienced and took the time to ensure processes were fully explained and understood.
There has never been any pressure to proceed with a treatment and many options are discussed enabling the client to make an informed choice. Delighted with the care and results.

The overall experience was positive. I was a bit suprised on meeting my skin consultant that she has someone (an NHS dermatologist) with her and she asked me if I minded if she could be present during my treatment. I didn't mind, but it might have lessened the suprise and been preferable had I received a phone call before arriving for my appointment to ask me if it would be okay.
Because there was another person present the treatment session lasted longer than usual as my consultant was doing quite a lot of explaining regarding the poroceedure to her. In a way this was helpful as it gave me more of an insight into my treatment. When the guest dermatologist asked my consultant if she could do some of the laser treatment it made me rather nervous until my consultant explained that she had done the treatment before while working for the NHS. My consultant did most of the treatment though which was what I would have expected. Each step of the process was explained to me which I found reassuring. Although a longer session, I felt at the end it had been very thorough and effective.

I tried to twice to cancel this appointment via the call centre as I had to urgently see a dentist following a fall. I phoned the call centre twice, got two very awkward members of staff. One said they’d email the clinic and they’d call me back, they didn’t so I called again. She said she tried to phone the clinic but they didn’t answer. Strange that as I’ve never known their phones go unanswered when I’ve been sat waiting. I’ve now lost an expensive laser session. I’ve been going to this clinic foe years and years but that just doesn’t seem to bother them. I do a 32 mile trip! I messaged them, ignored, I’ve put a comment on Instagram, ignored. The sodding call centre is the Bain of this, what was a, super clinic.

I had the reply below but I’m not going to email. You had your chance three times yesterday. As I said in my text, sent yesterday too, there will be a company much closer to me who will appreciate my loyalty. I don’t even know if I have sessions left, but I’m not coming back. You need to train your call staff better. I wonder how you treat Covid positive patients cancelling?

I started my SKIN journey in March. Had a GREAT appt where I was given a plan and prescription to help with my rosacea. Everyone was very welcoming, professional and I felt very at ease. I noticed a difference in my skin very quickly and was happy with the treatment provided. The problem came when I tried to book in for a follow up consultation to extend the treatment. I struggled to get in contact with anyone. When I did get through I was told I was speaking directly to the mapperley clinic and that they no longer had a consultant. It would be over a month before they would possibly be able to start booking in clients. I asked if it was possible to sort something sooner as the antibiotics were on-going. They stated they would get a Dr to ring me and do a telephone consultation, but this never happened. Over the next 5 weeks, I attempted to chase this up, and was met with nothing but 5 further broken promises of phonecalls and video consultations that would never happen. In each case there was not further communication until I chased again. Finally after 5 weeks of this, I heard from skin. However... they left a message to say they had booked me for a face to face appointment at the Leicester (??) clinic for September 8th. I knew I wouldn't be able to travel to Leicester for the appt since a) this is not local, and b) I work on Wednesday. I contacted skin to see what I could rearrange. At this point I was told it could be switched to a telephone appt (which it was meant to be originally). However was informed that there was no way to change it from Wednesday, as there is only a *single* consultant, who *only* works every *other* Wednesday morning. It was at this point that I gave up! It shocks me that a big company such as Skin just seem unable to provide appointments with a Dr. Since the treatment (when received) was great, this is so disappointing.
Two weeks ago I asked for the official channels to make a complaint and was told that this was being actioned and I would hear back as it must be started within 3 days. What a complete shock that two weeks later I have again heard nothing about this nor has anyone followed up for any details.
Finally, I was then sent a reminder for the appt I had just cancelled. I was understandably fed up with the situation at this point. Ironically, on the Wednesday morning of the appointment I received a voicemail to state they were no longer able to do the appointment anyway as the consultant was ill. Good job I hadn't driven to Leicester! A complete shambles and if I had known I would struggle so much to get a review appointment I would never have spent/wasted over £200 to start the treatment.
I am not one to write negative reviews but I feel like I have exhausted every option. I am now in a position where my treatment needs to now be started from scratch (another £200) rather than just reviewed and maintained.

The treatment and the pricing had been explained thoroughly and the doctor was both knowledgeable about the process and had a kind and understanding manner. The lady doing my laser made me feel at ease and it was easy to ask any questions! The laser itself wasn't painful at all and actually my first experience was enjoyable. I liked that they gave me aftercare as well, I am already seeing some results even after the 1st session. The option for finance was great and I felt thoroughly looked after. I would definitely recommend to my friends.

The staff are all wonderful people, very detailed in what they do, polite and will take the time to explain any questions you might have.
They make you aware of the products that they have available but don’t push them heavily, they do however explain the benefits to using them and give you the option.
In terms of treatment, I’m still going through mine currently and on session 5 of 8 as of writing this review, my visits are for Laser Hair Removal and they’ve been mostly very effective and I’ve seen a huge reduction in density and the time it takes to re-appear is much greater. We are hoping that the one small area that has been stubborn will eventually start to take effect as much as the rest and have a plan in place in case it doesn’t and that is my only current concern, however that is due to my body hair being stubborn and not a reflection of the treatment itself.
