Has now become an essential part of life

My sleepphone went round the wash by mistake and didn't survive. I thought I wouldn't miss it as much as I did so had to get a new one. I'd way rather sleep without headband but the breeze headband is manageable, not too hot even in summer and the speakers feel as though they are barely there - and I'm a picky sleeper. Fleece would be too much for me. The sound quality is great and perfectly audible at levels that my partner can't hear. Moving from wired to bluetooth helped - way more comfy and it's easy to damage the wired speakers by twisting around after falling asleep with them on. It does seem expensive, especially with a wash cycle but no regrets.

Dangerous Fault & Ignored Emails

Wireless module developed a fault causing the battery to swell. Obviously dangerous to use. Emailed to query re warranty and was ignored. Brought a replacement module out of desperation and it never turned up (stuck with Evri). No response from customer services, only recourse was to dispute transaction through the bank. Will go elsewhere..

Customer service is awful - still waiting for refund on return 3 weeks later

The customer service is extremely slow! I requested to return my sleepphones within the returns period, as they were painful on my ears when sleeping on my side. It took 2 weeks for someone to reply to my email and send the returns address. I returned the sleepphones by 48 hour tracked delivery on 23rd September and still haven't received any notification of receiving my return and I still haven't received a refund. I bought this item on 20th August, so it's almost been 2 months that I have been out of pocket. I'm wondering if I will ever receive it, it's a lot of money to be waiting on!

Disappointing Quality, Not Worth the Investment

How this was recommended by a major magazine, I'll never know. I purchased the Sleep Phone hoping for a comfortable and reliable solution to listen to music or white noise while falling asleep. However, my experience with this product has been overwhelmingly negative.

Firstly, the speakers didn't last long, requiring replacement sooner than expected. This was already a hassle, but then the device stopped charging altogether, rendering it completely useless.

Overall, the Sleep Phone proved to be a waste of money. The low quality and lack of durability make it difficult to recommend, especially when there are similar products available at a fraction of the price. Save your money and invest in a more reliable option.

Perfect if you have insomnia

I’ve had the ‘effortless’ version for over a year. The ‘effortless' charging really is easy. I’ve tried a number of other solutions but the sleepphones were the most comfortable and have little or no sound leakage (important if you have a significant other in the bed with you). The bluetooth works every time, unlike my many other finicky bluetooth devices. I still have some insomnia but I don’t fear it anymore, I can just tune into some yoga nidra or meditation app and all is well.

Only worked for a year

The headband style sleepphones are really great if you are a side sleeper. I found them very comfortable although every time I put the headband on I have to push the speakers around in the fabric for a while to get them to sit in the right place. They are not tethered in any way within the headband. I have had no trouble with bluetooth pairing or recharging them.
The reason I am giving them a two star review is that after about a year of use they now produce various buzzes, whines, and hums through the speakers making them useless. This is not acceptable for a product that is priced as though it is a premium product. I have now purchased a similar headband from another company which has cost about a quarter of what I paid for these and works just the same.

Not worth the money

Sleepphones are significantly more expensive than other similar products on the market, but over all I'm not sure it's worth paying out.

The battery pack is a very bulky unit that sits at the back of your head and digs in. Other models which are 80% cheaper have a smaller and more compact unit that sits at the front of the headband, and this aspect is far superior than anything sleepphones are currently producing.

The headphones themselves are undoubtedly slimmer than anything else I have seen, but they move frequently within the fabric and have to be repositioned every evening.

Overall, at around the £100, I'd expect better design. It seems like a good idea, but greed has perhaps gotten in the way of good design. I wouldn't buy again or recommend, unless the price point came down by at least 60%.

Great product when it works. Customer service not so great

I have used the wired sleep phones for years and loved them, so I decided to try a pair of the wireless ones. Although they are comfortable, they stop working every few days. When I called the company about the problem a couple of months ago, they told me to unplug the unit and let the battery drain. This process takes 3-4 days, during which the headphones aren't usable. Once I recharge them after the drain, they do start working again. However. The process has to be repeated every few days. It's very exasperating. This is a terrible product for the expense and the customer service solution, is lame. I recommend staying with the wired version, even though it isn't as comfortable dealing with the cord. At least it works consistently.

I would recommend a pass

The sound is good, but overall the design is poor. The headphones move around inside the headband quite easily and are off the ears in little time if you move while trying to sleep. The battery pack is clumsy and also moves around inside the headband and puts pressure into the back of head or side of head as it moves if you change positions while sleeping. The lightweight band is quite warm and uncomfortable across the forehead… if you don’t like socks when you sleep, you won’t like this product. I had not the highest expectations, and sadly not even those were met. This is my first review of anything on line. Wait til something better comes out.

Excellent Customer Service by Acoustic Sheep!!!

While I've been an Acoustic Sheep customer for several years, and tried other less expensive alternatives sold on Amazon, the 'sleepphones' positively outclass the alternatives.

I had purchased one of the more expensive sleepphones and toward the end of the warranty period, the Bluetooth module went bad. After writing to customer service to see what I could do, I wasn't getting a response, so I decided to give up and switch back to using the cheaper alternative sold on Amazon. (hard plastic that hurt my ears)... Which, after thinking about the sleepphones, I decided to try one more time and reach out to customer service.

I received a reply, and after explaining my situation, the customer service folks at Acoustic Sheep offered to send me (free) a new Bluetooth module!!!

It turns out, the response I was anticipating from Acoustic Sheep customer service probably went to my junk email folder and was deleted without me noticing it!!! So, if you believe you should have received a response from customer service, please check your junk email.

Acoustic Sheep is a small company that seeks to please its customers in the best way possible. Sometimes difficulties take a bit more communication to resolve, though if given a chance, you might discover a more positive solution!

No response from customer services

I emailed twice (including one minute after I ordered) to say that I actually made a mistake and had wanted to buy the more expensive model. Never received a response from their email. Just ignored me. Very disappointing customer service. I am left with the cheaper version which I didn't really want.

Not worth 178 nzd

178 nzd is way waaay too much for this product.
- It uses dated tech (who even uses micro USB anymore?)
- The headband isn't comfortable, the headphones keep moving inside it and slide off your ears. You constantly have to fix it.
- Design of the headband I'd terrible. The mechanism sits at the back of your head. The fun part is is has controller on it, so you will keep turning your music off when you lie on your back and the controller will be pressed by the back of your head.
- Charging it is a nightmare. You have to remove it from the headband everything you need to charge it - which is everyday.
- There's no power indicator. All you know is when it's fully charged. Other than that... nothing. Battery level doesn't show - neither on the sleepphones device itself, nor on the phone it's connected to.

I am a little disappointed

I am a little disappointed . I was hoping at this price point that these would be of better quality. As it stands they are no better than my $15.00 ones from amazon.
I am a side sleeper and have an issue with the wires bunching around the square earpiece making them very uncomfortable . Also the charging pad slides around pushing the earpieces out of place while I sleep.
Charging is a little strange having to unplug the earpieces to charge the battery compared to just plugging my other set in.
The headband itself is soft and comfortable , not overly warm. It does twist some while I sleep and slides over my eyes . Which could be my fault (maybe measurements were off) . Sound quality is good . The controls are hard to work and adjust while wearing also.
All in all in my opinion the wires are to long , the earpieces should maybe be rounded off a little and maybe secured somehow so all of the pieces don’t bunch together..

Great Investment

Absolutely love my sleep headphones. I use them all the time, especially for long flights. They never fall off, are easy to adjust, and are very comfortable! Sometimes I adjust the internal speakers in order to use them as headphones and a sleep mask at the same time. Granted, I've never tried some of the cheaper Amazon options, but I don't have any reason to dislike the ones I have now. The customer support is also incredibly helpful and prompt!

Do not spend the ridiculous amount of…

Do not spend the ridiculous amount of money on these headphones! They are not worth it. The cheap ones on Amazon are way better.
For starters they are very hard to charge. You have to remove the battery from the cover in order to do so, which is not easy.
Next, they have no battery level shown on an iPad. I contacted customer support about this and they said it was just difficult to do, however, the cheap ones on Amazon do it.
Next, their customer support is awful. When I contact them about the issues, they sent me back a form letter that even had different fonts in it you could tell it was copied and pasted.
Their only suggestion was to return the product for a full refund which I did.
Their sound is no better than the cheap ones on Amazon, their comfort is no better than the cheap ones on Amazon.
Save your money do not buy this product.
