Great duvets, but let down by slow customer support if anything goes wrong.

EDIT - After placing a second order I'm afraid I have to adjust the previously five star review below down. We ordered another duvet in a lighter tog as, since the nights were warmer than expected the 13.5 tog was proving too much. We ordered on 27th November (two and a half weeks ago). The delivery arrived on 30th November, well within the 3-5 day (exc. Sun & hols) estimate... Except what arrived was a pack of two pillows. With two address labels, one for a random stranger. This in itself is just a mistake, an annoying one, but it happens. However, I emailed the company using their contact form on 30th November (which said it had submitted correctly) and still haven't heard back from them now on 14th December, 10 working days later, meaning we're still missing our order. I understand this may be a busy time of year for duvet sales (I work in a small company in customer support, so I can definity understand the struggle of longer response times at certain periods!) but this is an unacceptable amount of time to be waiting for just a reply when I've not received my item at all. The price has even dropped by a small amount since I ordered!

I didn't want to add to the backlog if I could help it so I messaged on Facebook instead, twice during this time, and both times was given an apology and told it would be passed on. But still I'd heard nothing so in fear my original email had actually been lost or not gone through, I emailed again on the 10th. I still haven't had anything except an auto reply saying they have an extended response time right now of 5 working days due to high demand, but it will have been more than double that when I eventually, hopefully, get a reply!

It's a shame as the duvets are good and it's nice to buy directly to support a small business. But I'd be hesitant to do so again on the off chance I do have a problem with my order.

We already had a Slumberdown summer duvet, ordered via a popular retailer, which we really liked - just the right weight and temperature for the summer months, didn't need to go down to just a sheet on hot nights any more! When we wanted to get a winter one too, the other retailer was out of stock, so we bought from Slumberdown directly and I'd definitely recommend! The price was better direct than the standard price in the other shop, and delivery was quick and easy. Happy with the quality of this duvet too, nice and cosy but not over hot and very comfy and fluffy. We'd definitely buy direct from Slumberdown again in the future.

wool duvets are amazing!

ordered a wool duvet and pillows as wanted a natural fabric duvet to go with recently bought linen sheets. products arrived quickly and i'm so pleased i bought them as they both feel great and the duvet keeps me both warm when i get into bed and stops me getting too hot in the night. Wish i'd bought it years ago as have been sleeping so much better !
the only downside is the duvet makes a crinkling sound when you move it - which is strangely comforting! and the pillows are very full - so i dont use them to sleep on but they are amazing for resting on - which was the desired purpose

Second Slumberdown Electric Blanket

This is the second electric blanket I have had from Slumberdown, same model.
I was so pleased with the first, when it started to fail I decided to get an identical one.
Loved the hot foot warmer!
Ordering online was easy.
It took a while for the package to reach the courier, however, it was the weekend.
I have not actually put the new blanket on the bed yet, will save that for later in the winter.
I checked that all was working on arrival and it is perfect.
If it performs the same as my previous one I shall be well pleased.

No response for a warranty claim

Hi Slumberdown team
Is there any update ? I have sent atleast 3 reminders till now post sending the blanket back but no response is coming from your end. Not sure if i have to come back to trust pilot to raise issue before any response is given from your end.

Hi,
We purchased a single Electric blanket via Amazon in Nov 23 and it has stopped working suddenly for past few days. I tried to contact their customer care team for warranty but there has been no response inspite of claiming that they will get back in 48 hrs.

Filled it via website as well sent an email with invoice followed by a reminder email but no acknowledgement :(
Its been a frustrating experience and i am not sure in spite of product being good, if any problem happens then they will own up and open a line of communication to resolve the issue.

Good value quality product but slow service when there is a fault.

Good value, good quality product, delivered promply. I ordered two duvets. One arrived that was faulty, missing filling in part. I contacted customer service by email with photos for a replacement but heard nothing for a few days. So I phoned them.They apologised for not replying then said it has to be returned before a replacement can be arranged. They arranged collection in two days which happened. I emailed prior to that asking about the label and would I get a receipt. I heard nothing for about 4 days and then had a message apologising for the delay as they had been exceptionally busy. They saw it had been collected 5 days previously and would arrange for it to be dispatched the following Monday. It arrived 11 days after I originally reported it as faulty, not what you want when you order a duvet. Customer service are helpful and apologetic but clearly overstretched.

Update. I did receive a further apology and an assurance that Slumberdown are making strong efforts to improve response times. Because the products are such good quality and value I have revised the rating to 4 stars.

It has not even arrived at its destination I have had to make an embarrassing phone call to my friend who i sent it to to see if she had received it .

Bought a super king size,disappointed…

Bought a super king size,disappointed with the blanket size,the controls default to the highest setting so have to be reset every night,one side failed after 9 months,no response from them when trying to claim under the 2 year guarantee. Won't purchase this brand again
