Great Service -
I have had 3 orders from these over the years all delivered without issue. I have just order a heat pump tumble dryer saved over £100. Suprised to see the low review score to be honest!
Use your reward as not a scam
Cashed in my rewards this week and got a new Whirlpool heat pump dryer delivered two days later cost £359.09 included delivery, unpacking and installing! Checked all retailers prices that ranged from £575 upwards so very happy and can say definitely not a scam.
I have had £2800 in my reward account
I have had £2800 in my reward account. My fridge freezer broken. Unfortunately that was the only appliance with out insurance. Checked mostly everywhere. I bought a fridge freezer using smartcare rewards. Nearly £250 cheaper. The only problem is not much choices listed the once we can purchase.
I have over £1300 in smart care reward…
I have over £1300 in smart care reward which i thought i would be able to upgrade my cooker under the hob and get a new hood with . I would still be about £700/800 out of my own pocket when the £1300 smart rewards covers it and more.I really do not see the point in these rewards if you have to have in these days deposible cash to add towards them . So they just keep growing as you pay for your plan but you cant use them .
I havent had a probelm with the repair etc renew part of the plan i pay for, and there customer service is good .
I just dont think there is any point to these rewards esp the amount i have and i cant even get something for £400 off the total of them .
I am slightly confused by this reward…
I am slightly confused by this reward system as it says I have over £4000 in rewards to use, however I pay every month to insure my products and have them repaired if they break down so why would I need to buy myself a new oven/dishwasher/fridge freezer? I could see through if you could buy items that you don't already insure. It just makes no sense to me whatsoever. Can someone explain how I can use my rewards????
…very disappointed
They tell me l have £1000 reward points then give me £26 off oven which l cud buy cheaper in the shop.not much a reward.wont use again
Joke of a service. Don't buy products, dangerous!
Bought a gas stove top. Engineer found it had a leak. Spend hours on the phone explaining issue to smart care, kicked around like a football between Domestic & General (who issue points through home appliance insurance to see on smart care products) and Hotpoint. They sent an engineer who was wrongly briefed but said he'd report the real issue. No contact since - it's been 5 weeks. I just want to return the dangerously faulty product (thank god the residents smelled the gas in the night & were able to turn off the supply before deadly outcome) and get refunded.
Smart care rewards is probably the most…
Smart care rewards is probably the most useless 'reward' I've ever heard of. I have over £2000 which will never be used because I don't need to buy new appliances as they are all insured and will be replaced if they cannot be repaired.
Don't waste your time or money, STAY AWAY
Don't waste your time or money, stay away from these scammers.
We had the engineer at our place 4 times "trying" to fix the washing machine. For each visit it took a week, which means a whole month without the appliance.
Further to that, every time the engineer "tried" to fix it, he left our kitchen a whole mess, with water all over the place.
On his report, he said the machine was fixed when he clearly did not fixe the appliance.
We have tried to call the customer service but they keep saying that at their end, the job was completed.
We ended up buying a new machine.
After all the process, we tried to cancel the contract, but they charged ignoring our complaints.
They launched an internal investigation, which obviously did nothing.
Trust me, you dont need that kind of stress, STAY AWAY from these people.
I wish I could rate less than 1 star.
Perfect 👍 saved Hundreds
I don't think people get how smart care rewards work , they reduce the price of you want a replacement appliance by hundreds in some cases , I've just got a replacement dishwasher nearly half price and a washing machine saved Hundreds so it worked perfectly for us. Staff and service were perfect.
Nothing difficult about it , choose your appliances check stock , order and get installed*( also mega cheap compared to Currys !!!)
Thanks smart care rewards
Have over £2,600 in Smartcare rewards…
Have over £2,600 in Smartcare rewards but have to pay cash out of my own pocket if I want a new appliance. What a joke will just wait for my cooker/washing machines to break down then D&G can just replace them for me under my policy.
Truly dreadful
Read the previous reviews.....they tell a story about this company. Tried to order 3 x appliances, all of which were in stock. Their website states "Next Day Delivery, 7 days a week". No deliveries were available for more than two weeks - either in central London, Yorkshire or the Midlands. Do not waste your time with these jokers.
Waste of time and energy
Waste of time and energy
Not what was described and simply a pain that you don’t need
This is just a hassle and really not worthwhile bothering with at all!
Points are useless and items overpriced so no savings to be made
Customer service is a joke one star is too much
Won't use for purchases again
Quite happy with repair side of company after using twice but the rewards are a waste of time. Between the number of phone calls to buy and the saving In my case of less than £10 after using over £72 in rewards..Was not worth the hastle. The purchasingl on the phone was so repetitive and boring would have just preferred to pay Any retailer at the near enough price and forget the rewards
Email Frustration
It is not clear when trying to buy an appliance via rewards how the discount is calculated. I wanted to establish by email what my total rewards are on all the policies we have because I wasn't sure that thew discount avaiklable wqas recognising our total rewards or simply the policy n. I logged in with. This has not worked as the customer services responders by email either don't understand the question or they don't know their own system well enough to advise.
P... up and Brewery spring to mind
every time we have gone to use the smart care rewards it says we can not process your order I think personally people should be able to be given a cash alternative and they can organise it themselves
I don't know who organized the steps on…
I don't know who organized the steps on the phone lines but it must of been a child it is absolutely diabolical
Absolute nightmare trying to get…
Absolute nightmare trying to get problem resolved on chatline, continually ended chat, unable to get logged into dmatcare website, despit phoning several times and going on chatline no further forward
Terrible company
Terrible company! My fridge freezer stopped working so I took out a policy with them and they sent out a engineer a few days later, he came and didn’t do anything but look inside fridge and freezer and confirm I was correct it wasn’t working! Told me I needed a compressor and he will get it ordered. A week later the compressor was in stock and I could book my repair. Second engineer came and fitted compressor told me it’s now working and can put food in it in about 5 hours, went out bought £200 worth of shopping only to realise its not fixed, food wasted! called company and they booked another engineer visit a week later! The guy came done all the correct checks and informed me it can’t be fixed, my policy was cancelled and I’ll have to buy a new fridge freezer! 3 weeks I wasted with no fridge because of these people! AVOID AVOID AVOID! Was contacted 4 times within the 3 weeks cold calling me to take out policies for all electrical items in house also
Avoid at all costs. Heads they win, tails you lose.
After calling Hotpoint about a repair issue on a machine, was passed to Smartcare whom it turns out are owned by Whirlpool, as is Hotpoint. Sold a policy to cover my machine "If we can't fix it, we'll replace it like-for-like with a new one." This was (much) more expensive than getting someone local to look at the thing, but made sense. Or so I thought. So... the Hotpoint man turned up, and could not repair the machine as he didn't have the parts. "If we can't get them, you'll get a new machine" he confirmed. Shortly followed by a call from Smartcare telling me that they had cancelled my policy. So it was a "heads we win tails you lose" deal. A disgrace that is to be referred to the FSA.
