In the past I have done some IPL hair removal in beauty clinics where the machines where high powered, some machines did very well and others not so well, so you never new if you where going to waist your money or not.
So, when trying out the ‘Smooth Skin Pure Mini’ I was a little dubious if this little hand-held machine was going to actually work.
I must say that I was very nicely surprised by the results after 8 weeks of constant use. My top lip which was shadowed by dark hair and a few bristly ones has completely disappeared and my bikini line only has a few stray hairs to tackle after 8 weeks. What I love most is that my skin is starting to feel a lot smoother to the touch and dark skin caused by hair regrowth is fading away.
It took me maybe two sessions to get use to using this little machine confidently, however, as a machine it is supper easy to use. Easy to store and easy to take with you if you are traveling.
I would highly recommend this little machine. If your done with waxing, daily shaving and going to hair removal clinics that just take your money for poor results, this little machine is the go-to and it’s a big winner for me.

I have been using my device consistently for 4 weeks now and I am finding it really easy to use. It is also a lot quicker than I expected. I am treating my face, my neck, my underarms, my stomach, my bikini line and my legs. I was a little intimidated by the device at first because I have had laser hair removal in clinics before now and I have found it so painful, that I have never seen the courses through, therefore have never got the desired effect. But I was pleasantly surprised. The most discomfort would be what feels like an elastic band snapping against the skin but that has been quite rare and tends to happen in more sensitive areas. The regrowth has reduced dramatically in all areas but less so on my legs at this point. Although, I am not naïve to think that this is it. I understand that the hair grows at different rates and I need to continue and be consistent to see long term progress. I am confident that by week 12 I will see a huge difference in regrowth and I can't wait to get there! I would definitely recommend. I have spent hundreds of pounds at clinics and never got to a reasonable point with hair growth. This is so much cheaper and you can treat the areas weekly so actually, it is a much quicker process. I have really enjoyed using the device.

I am stunned by the progress I have made with this device and absolutely love it!! I have been using the Smoothskin device for about 7 weeks and have already seen a considerable reduction in hair growth. At the beginning of the treatment, my black hair was highly visible, however now I can go an entire week with barely any regrowth on my legs and armpits. The device is easy to use and I have found as the weeks have progressed the process has become quicker and easier. It is easy to hold, and the smaller head attachment is great for getting into those hard-to-reach places! This is a product I would highly recommend.

I have been using the SmoothSkin Pure Fit for 4 weeks and I have Asian dark hair. I predominantly used it for my arm pits and legs and already in 4 weeks I have noticed a reduction in hair growth. Initially I found it sometimes stung a little when using it, but I have got used to this and its become much less. So far I am really happy with the results and really recommend this product. It is easy to use, quick and caters for Asian skin tones and hair.

As a first time user of a SMOOTHSKIN Pure fit IPL hair removal system, I have been extremely satisfied with the results. The device is easy to handle, lightweight and looks good, I had the white model.

I was a bit intimidated at first, but after reading the instruction booklet a few times to fully understand what I needed to do beforehand (I didn’t realise there are certain things you need to do before using the machine, such as shave the area first and not on tanned /dark skin and to do a skin test first) I took the plunge, and gave it a go…

I found it very easy to use, and after a few minutes, I got the hang of it – the initial flash and sound startled me at first, but I soon got used to it and got the hang of keeping it flat against my skin - It did kind of tingle with the mildest of discomfort,
but it was short lived after a minute or so it subsided, and the more I used it, the less it seemed to happen.

After a few weeks of using it, I have noticed a significant reduction in unwanted hair growth. I haven’t used the Precision head as I was using it on my back so there was no need.

Although the booklet mentioned there may be some minor side effects that can occur with using an SMOOTHSKIN Pure fit IPL hair removal system, such as skin irritation or burns, I have not had any that I can make any real mention of, but if anyone is worried about this, these can be minimized by following the manufacturer's instructions and taking proper precautions mentioned in the booklet.

Overall, I would highly recommend the SMOOTHSKIN Pure fit IPL hair removal system to anyone looking for a safe and effective way to reduce unwanted hair growth. It has been a game-changer for me and I am extremely happy with the results.

Iv been using this product for about 12 weeks, the hair on my legs has become a lot lighter and Iv seen a massive reduction in the amount of times I have to shave my legs. Iv left my legs for 2 weeks and had minimal grow back. The device is very compact and easy to use, easy to store and pack away I would recommend this product - it does what it says it would do.

I have been using the SmoothSkin pure mini for approx 8 weeks, I was a little apprehensive at first as I thought it may be painful but there was no discomfort whatsoever. It takes a few minutes to use on each area and I can honestly say I have seen a massive difference to the hair regrowth on my legs and underarm area. I would definitely highly recommend this device

I love this so much! My hairs are growing back finer, lighter and slower. It’s doing exactly what it says on the tin. I can go longer between shaving which is amazing. The unit is compact but still feels sturdy and well built. I love the smaller head attachment for facial and underarm hair. The negative reviews have baffled me because all I’ve done is rave about SmoothSkin to my friends and family. It’s definitely a great investment if you’re looking to improve your confidence and or eliminate the need for constant shaving/waxing.

I don’t understand all these negative reviews. I was skeptic at first, but after just 3 uses I saw some hair reduction. Now 7 weeks in I swear I barely have any hair left! I’m using the SmoothSkin Pure and can get both legs, underarms and bikini area done in a few minutes now. I would recommend to everyone!

I have been shaving my legs almost every day for years and was so fed up so I decided to try IPL. I am so shocked at the results. After just a few weeks my hair stopped growing back so quick and now I only have to shave once a week. It’s amazing, wish I tried it sooner

I have been using the SmoothSkin Pure Fit for a few months now and my hair is growing back a lot less. I have quite thick dark hair and during the summer was having to shave armpits and legs twice a day, now I can get away with only shaving once a week. Really do recommend for anyone looking to remove hair for longer without paying for laser in salons. The Pure Fit seems to be the most powerful one you can use at home and it doesn’t hurt.

Just have many other have said, my machine stopped working after very little use. I have contacted customer service but received no reply.

Activation button stopped lighting after being used few times , Maybe 10 times. Contacted smoothskin.com they offered no advice or help. Paid a lot of money for a product that is going in the bin.

I have been using this device for months. I had such high hopes, gave up waxing and began shaving as instructed. The hair in those areas grows back thicker and faster than ever before. My top lip is an absolute disaster. It has destroyed my confidence and wasted my time and money. I have never been so disappointed with a product in my entire life. Wow they should be ashamed of themselves.

Can’t find receipt. Customer services automatically said no to a replacement even though they offer a 2 year guarantee & replacement if no results after 12 weeks. Rubbish product & waste of money!! Can’t even get a replacement to see if mine was just faulty. Not impressed!!

Please just give this a steer, complete waste of money, broke after a few months, the white light just will not turn on, it's stuck on red or no light

Bought the Smoothskin Pure device for £199.90p in December. They offered a 3 month money back guarantee so towards the end of the 3 month mark, I contacted customer service to say I wasnt happy with the results. They advised me to try the multiple-passing method and agreed to extend the money back guarantee another 4 weeks. I agreed but still didnt get the results I was hoping for. The entire process of communicating back and forth before they finally agreed to accept my return took around a month as I was getting very slow email replies. After that month, I had received a return label and sent my device off. They went through all the questions with me and eventually confirmed they had received my device a few days later. They told me I would get my refund within "5-7 working days" and that started a never-ending battle of trying to get my money back. I sent back my device in June, and obviously we're now in October. I sent countless emails, I phoned up and kept getting told someone will contact me to resolve this but no one ever did (they say it usually takes a day or two and I always gave it 4-5 days before phoning up again so I think I was more than patient). I spoke to multiple people on their live chat just to be told the same thing. I even went out of my way to email the manufacturer (Cyden) and was ignored, I also phoned them and was basically sent away and told there was nothing they could do. So I ended up with no device and no refund. I threatened to take legal action and received what seemed like an automated response which read along the lines of "Thank you for sending over your details.." (the same email I received approx 10 times before). I finally received my refund a few days ago. A refund that was supposed to take "5-7 working days" took 6 months. 6 months of me having to basically harass them to get my money back. They also tried to make the entire process very difficult by asking for evidence and proof of purchase in multiples (I sent over a screenshot of my order confirmation from the Boots app with all my details below) and they were still asking for the confirmation email aswell. I explained I deleted the email because my order confirmation was on the app which they eventually accepted as reasonable but you could tell they were trying to do everything in their power to be able to refuse my refund. They refunded me £199 only. The 90p may seem like nothing but if you take into consideration all the people who have been in the position of only receiving partial refunds, you can see how this company makes their profit. The refund on my bank statement showed up as 'Cyden' so they definitely could've looked into this issue when I initially phoned up but lied and said they couldnt. They're nothing but thieves. Dont waste your time or money because you'll just end up in a battle like I did. From the other reviews I've read, I can see that many people havent received a refund at all so its definitely not worth the gamble.

It is not the real deal. I sent it back to Shavershop. I bought it to stop shaving but it recognised my face randomly, sometimes it could or not. I bought a Braun and it works accurately as a Swiss click.

Cheapest made product. Also a scam. I returned the product after spending $69.00 and they refunded me only $28.00. It's a scam because they know their product is useless but when people return the product I'm sure they resale it again for $69.00. Worst company to deal with.. If you want to order read the refund policy and all the reviews.

I bought the bare+ IPL in preparation for surgery later in the year. I bought it in April hoping I would be slightly less hairy in time for my surgery in September. I have used it according to instructions without fail every damn week and the hairs are exactly the same.
It also hurts more than you expect it to. It was an awful lot of money for something that doesn’t work and was supposed to save me money in the long run. Now I’m £156 out of pocket plus the amount ive had to spend on shaving equipment and I STILL HAVE EVERY SINGLE HAIR AND WEEKLY SHAVING RASH.
