Stay away from this company. Order placed for Christmas. Courier delivered elsewhere. Delivery photo blurry and dark. Didn’t show me or anybody at my address nor did it show my address. Smyths refused to refund or replace. Took them to small claims for my £380 back and they offered back a £60 refund. Nasty company who completely breach consumer rights law

Awful!! Smyths used DHL who lost my item which was a much longer for and well deserved birthday gift.
No phone number to contact just a cop out of someone will hopefully get back to you within 48 hours on website messaging.
DHL passed the buck .
Smyths really don’t care about their customers and they should. Look what happened to Toys R Us!! Wish I had used Amazon!
Shocking customer care

Brought a trampoline for my grand kids plus the pins to secure it, they arrived first . I was looking for it to be delivered by the 10 th April , said would be there the very same day,brilliant as I needed it fir the 11 th .
The top arrived on the 10th kids were so excited ran to the he garden , only to find it was just the top . How disgusting the second part arrived the following week . £130 of disappointment, it’s still in the box or should I say box’s .emailed as soon as but being Friday heard nothing till Monday , said the told us it would come in parts , yer you did but delivery by the 10 th April . Emailed again no joy . Never am I buying from then again discusting smilths toys

I would like to thank Kane for this service at Peterborough smyths, I was trying to figure out what switch I was getting for my sons birthday and he talked me through the different switches and the benefits of them! He was so patient with me asking a load of different questions. I will definitely be back!

Visited the baby store and disappointed with the staffs knowledge regarding strollers and pram.

I was after a stroller which turned parent and world facing, knowingly that cybex easy twist 2, Joie 4 in 1, oyster 3 and 4 and mamas and papas flip xt3 turn to name a few however was advised strollers only turn outwards and would only come in a travel system.

I'm aware that Smyths don't stock some makes listed above however when I asked 'do they sell them individually online other places' I was again advised 'no only as a travel system' which is inaccurate as I later went to an independent baby store where I bought an oyster 4 stroller alone which debunked the information provided by Smyths.

Please be aware customer service may be good in regard to the products they sell but I don't feel the knowledge in the baby room is there in regard to the whole stroller and baby market out there, independent stores have thorough knowledge and information and more choice.

Walked into the shop and was instantly kicked out after a popping bubbles as the bubble machine was running

Very disappointing experience at Smyths Toys Stockport.
I visited with my 8-year-old son to buy a scooter for his birthday. The store was quiet, but there were no staff available to help. When we finally found someone, she responded rudely and dismissed us when we asked if my son could try a scooter.
I then spoke to the manager (Scott), who agreed to arrange for my son to try one outside. However, after waiting, another staff member came and refused, then argued with the manager " scott" dosent seem have control over his staff Completely unprofessional in front 8 year old boy.
My son was left upset and disappointed. We left and went to Decathlon instead, where the service was excellent and we bought a scooter with no issues.
Sadly, I won’t be returning to Smyths Stockport again.

I bought a child bicycle from Smyths Toys and they have given incomplete product as some parts of bicycle specially pedals were missing. To my surprise, instead of owning and taking responsibility, Smyth Toys customer care have careless attitude and even after 10+ mail exchanges or n number of chat or contact form filled neither they are picking up the bicycle nor refunding the money. Its shame companies like these are running scams openly.

You chose the worst delivery service. I only received one parcel, and DHL informed me that the other has been lost in transit. I’ve been left without any proper support—no phone assistance, just email communication. Very disappointing experience. I won’t be ordering from you again.

I’ve ordered off of Smyths Toys Twice now over the last few months.
The first experience, Toys arrived Broken & smashed,
I was sent out replacements because I did kick off regarding it being Christmas time but was told if this were to happen again i would have to return the broken items before I received a placement.

Now- I have ordered a 8ft trampoline off of them and have only received half of the trampoline…
Contacted them and was told it come in two boxes due to the size,
Which I completely understand but when spending this Much I do expect to receive the entire product.

The lady in a Friday afternoon on the 10th of April refused to help us .She was very rude and was not talkative

Bought plain black & pink roller skates for my 8 year old. They were only £24.99 so expectations were low but I expected her to be safe. Roller skate stopper came off on first try, then second try stopper came off & my daughter broke her tooth. Refund issued without hint of an apology. Skates were defective & frankly dangerous.

I visited the Colchester store on Monday 6th April and was helped by a friendly and helpful member of staff called Fran. I was there to collect an item that my daughter ordered but she gave me the wrong info. Luckily I was able to get the info and Fran helped me to get things processed and I was able to collect the item.
I have shopped in this store a few times as I have 2 small grandchildren, and I know I’ll be going back as they get older. The store looks clean and full of toys.5⭐️😃

I visit the Doncaster store to try and get pokemon for my daughter. The problem is that it's NEVER instock. I also check online multiple times a day some days. I have spoken to a colleague and he informed me that the manager buy the sock. This would explain where there's never anything here. I agree staff should be able to buy any product they want but should also make sure enough is left for customers, especially when is something so sort after.

Visited your Chelmsford store yesterday and Kerrieann who served us was so lovely. We'd taken our daughter in for a present as she'd had a had time at the hospital and Kerrieann served us with such joy and was so kind to our daughter it really made her day. Thank you so much for going that extra mile.
