I was suffering from severe sleep apnea and on testing was found to be having around 52 shallow or stopping breathing attacks per hour which is off the scale.Since using my Somnowell device I have been re-tested and this has dropped by around 80% and my consultant says my device is working sufficiently well.My wife says my snoring has almost completely ceased.
I am sleeping much better now and no longer waking up feeling exhausted.
The device felt a little strange at first but within days this feeling vanished.I feel totally comfortable with it in now and really forget it is there. It is easy to fit and has changed my life for the better.Highly recommended. This is an outstanding product and really works.Worth every penny!

This is an expensive item to purchase and if I was spending the same amount on something else i would expect much better customer service from Somnowell. But when you eventually get your device it's a pretty amazing bit of kit, however be prepared for A LOT of hassle in order to get to that point and be aware they have a 'get out of most things' warranty which will leave you shelling out again for all but the most minor tweaks your dentist can do themselves.

It is excellent. I used to have a somnomed (one of the plastic ones) it changed my life but the somnowell is significantly more comfortable - it great!

This device has changed my life! I used to have to sleep on the sofa due to my constant snoring, however since using the Somnowell I have had 100% snore free nights coupled with a great nights sleep. I also used to suffer from migraines brought on by the snoring, these have now almost competently disappeared.
in summary I would not hesitate in recommending this device to anyone with a snoring problem, they are well worth the money.

I purchased the Somnowell device for obstructive sleep apnea. I had the usual symptoms - waking up many times in the night, suffocating feeling, headaches in the morning and constantly fatigued. CPAP and other devices didn't work for me, so I am now trying the Somnowell. It's an odd looking thing, and initially feels a little strange in the mouth, but after a few minutes you don't notice it. For the first couple of nights, my teeth felt a bit sensitive in the morning, but that now has gone.
So, does it work? Yes! From the very first night my sleep pattern changed. I now sleep all through the night and the sleep apnea symptoms have ceased. My partner says I occasionally have quiet, gentle snoring but nothing else.
It is expensive, but can you put a price on a good night's sleep?

Well where to start... I’ve been invited to offer positive review for £10 amazon voucher.. I’ll just give the facts.. in brief... on fitting protruding jaw margiinally forward.. initial result nothing changed still embarrassing snore.. started to adjust device myself 1/4mm at a time that’s a quarter twist (as I got negative feed back from partner) still no improvement... I’m now entering a challenging 6mm self protruding adjustment feels like almost dislocating my jaw.. as I don’t live with my partner no news a yet.. I could continue manual adjustments to a point of complete discomfort.. just to stop snoring.. but not sure as yet if it will work to this point... also found the “tails” from the device surrounding my lower jaw teeth were cutting into my tongue.. I used pincers to adjust myself with great success. I truelly want this device to work and will persevere, but as yet I couldn’t give approval

Good device but lead time was a lot longer than expected. Think 8 weeks not 2

It is much less cumbersome than a plastic device, and despite the very expensive cleaning suggestions it seems to be fine in a dishwasher. I had hoped it would completely solve my heavy snoring, but don't think it has although it is at least as effective as plastic MADs.

The Somnowell has reduced my symptoms of OSAS to the point where I can drive again.

A massive improvement on sleep quality. The extra oxygen intake at night has resulted in better sleep and waking up more refreshed. My partner has been amazed at the reduction in snoring to almost non existent and the bruxism has been greatly reduced which has certainly been noted by my dentist.
I was sceptical about spending the money on the Somnowell at first but I’m glad I did.

This device has changed my life and I couldn’t live without it! I have what I can only describe as ‘border line’ obstructive sleep apnea which caused me to wake numerous times during the night with the sensation of not being able to breath. An ears nose and throat specialist suggested I try a mandibular advancement device to keep my jaw forward during sleep, so after much research I decided to invest in the somnowell device. It was uncomfortable to begin with but this didn’t matter to me because for the first time in over a decade I could finally sleep without experiencing that awful choking sensation! I wash it in the dish washer every day, and use corsodol mouth wash to sterilise it once a week, don’t bother with the expensive somnowell cleaners! It feels robust enough to withstand years of use. It is expensive but in my view worth every penny!

Good device that works has considerably reduced my snoring

It works brilliantly. Only issue for me was the long wait, 7 weeks.

I have been using the somnowell for 6 years as a result of being diagnosed with moderate sleep apnoea and recently replaced it with the newer model which has had some minor changes to its construction.
In the 6 years I have used it, I have never needed to use my CPAP device and can detect no difference in my day time performance between using either device. However the convenience of using the Somnowell compared to CPAP is vastly superior and easier to use in every way. It is an amazing invention and total life changer if you have ever been burdened by the need to use CPAP.
Highly recommended. Just make sure you use an experience practioner for the fitting process.

I have been a snorer for many years but only recently found out that, apart from keeping my husband awake, snoring has been associated with dementia, stroke and heart attacks. My dentist told me that the stories about people passing away 'peacefully in their sleep' was probably due to them actually stopping breathing! I decided I had to do something about the problem as I was (apparently) waking myself up many times during the night with a huge 'Harrrrrumph' and then, falling straight back asleep (poor hubby!). The plastic guard I bought online covered my teeth and I swear I could see some discolouration so I decided to bit the bullet (as it were) and splash out on a Somnowell anti-snore guard. So far, so good although I am seeing my dentist next week to see whether it can be adjusted because my hubby said I had been snoring the other night (whilst lying on my back) so if it can be pushed a little further forwards, that might help. It works, I have got used to it (takes a couple of goes) and I would recommend it to snorers everywhere.

I'm 51 and have had snoring issues my entire life, I've used nasal sprays and plastic/rubber mouthpieces and all gave short term minor success, mouth guards did make my teeth ache!. I've had the somnowell for 10 weeks and it's so comfortable, I'm a new man, 10 weeks of having a good and peaceful nights sleep has given me more energy and I've lowered my blood pressure tablets and the results are looking good. Not only has it been good for my relationship and sleep pattern it's also having a positive effect on my health!

I have been a heavy Snorer for many years.I have tried all manner of so called remedies, from Sprays, Nose clips,Magnetic rings, the whole time with no success whatsoever.I stumbled upon Somnowell by accident.I read quite a bit about it and then saw it was one of a limited amount of products recommended by The British Snoring and Sleep Apnoea association.I knew from tests I had done my Apnoea was a very mild case,so a Mandibular advancement device,by which time I had read ,researched and watched all the Videos available, could be my best bet for a viable solution to my emmence problem.Yes it's a considered purchase and not a cheap option, but I am so pleased I made that decision,it has changed my life for the better and my partner is delighted also.I can't thank Prof Ash enough for curing my problem, and have no hesitation in recommending it.

I purchased a custom built Somnowell brace around 18 months ago, with the assurances from both the manufacturer & the dentist it would reduce my problem by at least 70%. However after months & months of useage, it hasn't solved my snoring problem. In fact, my partner has said that using the brace has INCREASED my volume!
So, in a nutshell, I've wasted the best part of £1200 on something that has proved to be of no use at all. Upon ringing Somnowell, they said it's an individual case & there's nothing they can do. Great.
