Once you receive royalties - your account will be blocked and money lost

Unfortunately, despite excellent interface and services, the moment I started to receive royalties from streaming my music, problems have started. Without any proof, my account was blocked due to a claim of some sort of artificial plays on Spotify. I never employed any promotions on my tracks, so I know it can't be the case. From there on - no explanations, no proof of claims, nothing... Account blocked - money lost, apparently to cover any claims that may come from Spotify. If such claims never come - youll never know and they keep the money) My advice - stay away and distribute through someone else. I know I'm not the only one with such experience - we are many!

Rip off. You won't get your money you've earned!

Rip off. They changed the rules for retrieving artist's money in 2021 and didn't tell anyone. I decided to take my money that I had earned, little thought it was $67.67. I thought it would be like all other platforms I am on, but no it isn't. They wanted a copy of my driving license, so I scanned it and they rejected it as they needed a photo of it from my phone (I don't use my phone for this as I use my desktop). Ok so I did that and plugged the phone into the desktop pc. Ok!!! Next they want me to take a selfie with my phone to prove that I am the same likeness as my driving license. That was it as i didn't bother going any further. I emailed them and told them they can cancel my account and take down my songs after 3 years with them. They didn't seem particularly bothered as the customer service seems non existant towards account artists. What I will point out is that I am with 3 other music platforms which don't require that sort of identification, and also I am with 2 publishers who have never asked for driving license ID or any other. And to top that, not even PRS (performing rights society) require this sort of ID. Very suspicious of Songtradr, and I suggest you stay well clear. Not only that, the site runs slow and crashes all the time whether you use firefox or google chrome and every time you upload it crashes and crashes. Awful. Waste of time. I had 54 songs on there.

At this time, all releases have been blocked due to numerous artificial streaming strikes and you are no longer able to use Songtradr services.

Songtradr takes fraudulent activities seriously and is committed to upholding the integrity of the distribution system for artists, distributors, and other service providers.

This email is to notify you that we are terminating your account and terminating your access to all Songtradr services. Pursuant to Section 4(e) of our Digital Distribution Services Agreement with you, Songtradr has the right, in its discretion, to terminate your account.

All funds will be withheld and subject to review pending potential claw back from DSPs. We will revisit your account after this period and if we have received no claw backs from DSPs, your funds will be used to benefit the music community in a manner of our choosing.

that means they decide to cancel your account and take all the money you had collected and that you will collect in the future, with the excuse that your releases has artificial streaming.
Without any probe, without any report, without any warning of that activity. They just want you to assume that you are guilty of using artificial streaming on your releases.
They just close your account without any warning or probe and take your actual money and your future money with this statement:

so artist friends watch out and if you are using Songtradr you better take your money and music out of it before that happens to you.
That happened to me, and I haven't done any artificial streaming services as they said. Remember that no artist control how that their music is added to the thousandsplaylist inside Spotify, imusic, etc.
Last, don't waste your time trying to contact them, and don't spect any solution, supposedly they just care about the relationship with the Distribution Services Providers.
watch out dear friends artist.
stay away of Songtradr.

Due to DSPs (e.g Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, etc.) taking a stronger stance on "Artificial Activity," Songtradr has implemented an ID verification layer in an effort to ensure authentic music is being distributed.

Songtradr has been excellent 👌…

Songtradr has been excellent 👌 extremely helpful. Sometimes it takes 1-3 days for a response back but every time they'll always get back in touch with you. I use Songtradr for music distribution but their licensing deals are legit too. I think they're one of the best music and licensing distributors out there. Would highly recommend to every musician.

After one year of my last releases

After one year of my last releases, my songs were taken down from all platforms with some nonsense fraudolent plays claim. When asked for help, they told me that Spotify claimed it, but fortunately i talked with Spotify and they told me that wasn't true: Songs were taken down from SONGTRADR. So i reply to them and my songs comes back to Spotify and all the others dsp. Keep your money asap and change company. ASAP.

Awful, awful, awful

An awful, awful company. They don’t care about users, are dishonest and their supposed tech is an absolute joke.
Don’t be fooled by the new band aid they have stuck over the website, anyone that has a login will tell you the back end is still a dated, buggy, waste of internet space, dedicated to ripping off artists and musicians.

to be honest the last year with…

to be honest the last year with songtradr has been amazing! in the past they were harder to reach and fixing problems would take a while but since 2021 they stepped up their game for sure!

Took down music, banned my account and took my earnings

After a few days of release, my songs were taken down from all platforms with some nonsense copyright claim. When asked for help, they told me to email the person who claimed, whose emails were extremely unprofessional. Then they banned my account and took all the earnings!

They Took My Songs And My Money 😭

I was working with songtradr, I have been since 2020,i wake today and my fans are tellin me that my songs are not on the digital platforms.... 😭. I trying logging into my account but it said my account wasn't registered!!! 😕Please songtradr bring back my money I don't wanna end up suing the company coz my songs where registered!

Thank You Songtradr!

Songtradr has always done job for me getting all my music out with distribution as I have a lot of songs going out almost daily. The customer service been great if I had a few small problems as they git taken care of within a day. Monetization is also making my music money as 61 of my songs hit deals with stock music to date but I also put up a lot of different styles of music also in my Songtradr profile as it's always growing weekly.

Will refuse to pay and will make illegitmate excuses when you ask for withdrawal. Customer support is horrible. They refuse to pay you. Do not use them.

Usual low budget distributer

Usual low budget distributer that does not offer a serious contract. With what is offered, you have no room to proceed legally. If they don't like something, they'll take your music down overnight, keep your earnings and be done with it, without an explanation. So also in my case after all the requirements for tax data and biometric verification. If you don't live in the US, widely avoid this distributor.
Pure disappointment and waste of time after a year as a customer.

They don't care about you

They only care about making money, I withdrew money and never got it instead they told me that it was charges, how cam you let me withdraw if you know that all the money will circum to charges

Hey Shawn, there are multiple reasons for why a withdrawal may be delayed – we'd be happy to look into the reason if you email support@songtradr.com. While distro royalties happen every month from the 25th-5th, all other earnings are not guaranteed, so once we receive reports we deliver to the users account immediately.

Support Team is Great

I've distributed music with Ditto, CD Baby and DistroKid. Songtradr is by far my favorite. Whenever I need anything from them, the support team is always an email away and they usually get back within a day or two. I've yet to get any songs licensed through their sync portal and I'm not sure how many briefs they're getting these days, but as for a no-nonsense distributor they beat the competition in my opinion.

Songtradr withdrawal is not clear

At first I believed in Songtradr but since 2022 Sontradr has experienced a setback, starting from the earnings report experiencing delays, until the payment is very, very slow, I withdraw payments from February 2, 2022 until now it has not yet arrived in my account, even though last year the delay was at least 2-3 today, and yesterday, on March 1, 2022, I made a withdrawal of funds so far it hasn't come in, if there is a problem I should be notified, I feel this site is a scam now because it's not clear where my funds are going, if you are a new musician, it's best not to use songtradr others, thank you

Songtradr, look at yourself!!!

Songtradr is scamming users.
I am a victim of scam from Songtradr. Really disappointed that they did that to users like me.
First, they collect my important information to use for malicious purposes. I used to feel stressed every day when I received calls from every field to which I had never registered that number.
I see many pictures of myself on malicious websites.
In addition, they always have serious holes in the system every time users use it.
They took money from my music, it's an illegal act and I really feel disappointed in them.
There are also many other issues that I really don't understand.
Claim your rights back.
