I started using soundrop in 2018. It used to be a decent distribution company. But when my second album was released, it came out 5 hours late. Small red flag but manageable. But I sent my album to be released on the 5th of January, to be released the 21st. Which was always been more than enough time. Here we are on the 28th. And they have evidently lost my release. Not to mention the fact that they used to be free and now charge, which wouldn't be a problem IF they knew what they were doing. I'm pissed.

This company is a scam do not use them.. I had my music removed and all my royalty's stolen. which was over $1000usd. My music was removed from the stores and my account was locked the day before payment was due. They told me to email them in 3 months and they never responded. They sent a email as if to taunt me by saying we need more information to pay you. then they sent a email following up from that one saying to disregard it. I have reached out to some lawyers to see what we can do here because they shouldn't be in business... This company needs to be trashed and they need to be sued.... they are a bunch of thieving hacking losers who have nothing better to do then to rip off hard working musical people.. they need to have their heads smashed in.. some one needs to trash them on YouTube and let all the facts be known.. no other distributor does what they do..

As a label owner I try different distributors to see what is the best / most reliable / fastest etc.

Suddenly I get of 1 artist a removal mail of Apple - although I have literally not even advertised on Apple at all. I have run Ad campaigns which are not cheap for Deezer. Bear that in mind + on top that they are one of the slowest to show Deezers stats (could follow perfectly in deezer 4 artist however Soundrop needs 4-6 (?) months before updating those in the royalties).

Well, 6 months have passed and guess what, out of the blue that mail that is has been removed from Apple, then account was locked on both artists, none of them received the mail actually and here we are. Not being able to even compare the statistics of Deezer for artist with the details on soundrop.

It's not only pain in the wallet because of my ads but on top of that because of them stealing the royalties I worked for with my ad team.

Ive been using this site since February(bc i wanted to distribute my music for free) and today i went to distribute an album thinking it was going to be free, and i see i have to pay $14. What? this site is supposed to free what happened:(?

This company is terrible. I had distributed songs with them and right from the start we had some issues with song titles and youtube playlisting. They had other artists names on my songs under my Shazam and it took weeks to resolve this issue. I thought everything was sorted but it wasn't. They said they couldn't monetize my music on Tik Tok but they some how put it on there.

O.k Many months had passed my release had been in the stores no more problems. I have all my artist accounts up and running with the stores. like Spotify, Amazon, Apple and Deezer. I had no issues with the stores. but right before the 15th of the month when they were suppose to pay me for what ever streams i've had from what ever the period was. In this case it was for July and it said in my account i had $60 for that period. They locked my account on the 14th of the October the day before they were suppose to pay me for the streams i've had.

So i contacted them to see what the issue was. I checked all of my artist accounts. They were all working fine and i could log in and see how many streams i've had for that period. There was no issue with any of the stores. I doubled checked to see if the company was the issue or whether there was a issue at the stores. but there wasn't any issue at the stores. the distrbutor emailed me and said this.

"Upon review of the streaming activity on your release by Soundrop and/or our digital partners, it was determined that an excessive amount of streaming was being conducted from the same individual or computers. This is sometimes done by an individual to increase the visibility of their music. Unfortunately, this is also a violation of the terms of service of digital music providers as well as Soundrop's usage guidelines.

As a result of this, Soundrop has decided to remove your releases from our service. Any funds which have been accrued from abusive streaming will be unavailable for a payout as they have been determined to be fraudulent."

If this was true don't you think the stores would have done something about this? There is no issue with the stores and Soundrop is making this rubbish up and now they are saying they are not going to pay me even though they have recieved money that is meant for me. They will still recieve earnings from my music for August, September and October they have already stolen the money from July. They obviously are going to keep my money. They are stealing my money that was owed to me for my music.

If this issue that they are abusing is real. Then why wasn't something done sooner? They have basically waited the maximum amount of time to make sure they can rob as much money from me as possible. It's october and they are stealing $60 from July they waited till october to do that. And they will still collect money from August, September and October. Which is robery on there behalf. This is obvious not the first time they have done this. As you can clearly see from the situation that they know what they are doing. Why would they wait till the 14th of october to lock my account and say they aren't going to pay me? That's becasuse they are trying to rob not only July's sales and streams they are trying to rob all 3 months there after of sales and Streaming. They are trying to rob as much money from me as possible.

I have notified them that i will be taking legal action against them if they refuse to reach a resolution and pay me what i am owed and any for any cost's involved that it takes for me to resolve this issue. You can't just accuse something and then try play god and own the situation. When the only advantage in doing that is solely to benefit the business that is trying to own the situation. That is not how society works. I don't know what the money was from because they haven't sent out an statement with which stores have paid me for what plays etc and they didn't even tell me what streams they deemed to be abusive. This whole situation is just the most baltant form of robery from this distributor.

DO NOT DISTRIBUTE MUSIC WITH THIS PLATFORM. THEY WON'T PAY YOU. THEY WILL LOCK YOUR ACCOUNT THE DAY BEFORE YOUR SUPPOSE TO BE PAID SO YOU HAVE NO WAY OF TRACING DOWN THE BUSINESS. AND THEY WILL ROB EVERY MONTH THERE AFTER. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS. IT'S VERY OBVIOUS WHAT ARE THEY ARE DOING.

I will be persuing legal action against them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO DISTRIBUTE YOUR MUSIC. THEY PROVIDE A FREE SERVICE FOR A REASON AND THAT'S SO THEY CAN ROB YOU.

I've been working with Soundrop since the very beginning. They used to be called Loundr.FM. With them, my income has grown and I have been doing only music for several years now. Support works very fast, releases are loaded quickly. I tried to cooperate with other services, and came across a lot of problems, including unjustified debiting of money from my card. I express my gratitude to Soundop/

Cheapest cover song licensing out there! Soundrop was bought out by CD Baby but retains its separate staff---I think? The staff on chat are super cool good folks and very helpful. I joined at the moment they were switching from their free model to $0.99/song setups in 2021. Still not too outrageous of a price. I intend on using them for all of my cover song clearances. They have more of that local bookshop quality of the staff friendliness that CDBaby while having nice people has lacked lately, and I hope Soundrop stays that way. I don't really care how long it takes for cover song licensing because I prefer it any day to being mistreated by other companies who do it faster. What's one week, honestly, waiting on a cover song license? I would give them more personal points if they had kept their 100% free model because most artists are like me wanting to churn out lots of material, and it definitely hurts some folks in worse situations than I am if your music release bills get to $100+.

as soon as you make more that 50 or 60 dollars they steal your money by making excuses and block your account , since i've been distributing music its one of the biggest scam i've ever went through a big bunch of rascals

I think it's a good service . after all, it's free and a good opportunity to promote your music . the only problem is, the support team needs to develop a little more . they made the final payment on time . thanks

Soundrop took about a month in which Distrokid took only a week to get my cover song into stores.
Not only did Soundrop take long, but they also mixed my music with other bands to add that cherry on top. Do not distribute through Soundrop.

30k streams and they give me 0.92 dollar they are scammers dont believe it

They are the fastest at stealing your royalties. Once you see the first numbers drop into your account, they give you a stupid excuse that you are "a risk concern" and due to this they decide to LOCK your account and STEAL YOUR ROYALTIES. And this happens only when the royalties start rolling in, so prepare to be happy for the first 4 months until the first payment comes by. AVOID this distributor and choose another one, because you will be ROBBED out of your royalties. I contacted Spotify which said that they have nothing to do regarding this issue and on their end everything is good. So it is purely the distributor's decision to SCREW YOU OVER. Choose a distributor who will pay your owed royalties in time and won't stab you in the back like SOUNDROP.

Soundrop is the worst!! They wait 3 weeks to notify artists/ labels about simple errors! Simple errors like Song title in all Caps will postpone and prolong the release when no other platforms care about the caps! I’ve been trying to release the same project for 3 months!! I wouldn’t recommend these guys to my worst enemy!

I think Soundrop has offered the cheapest price to get a cover license.
Unfortunately, why does the artist not get any proof of license agreement after the song is delivered?
