CONSTANT THEFT/DRUG USE/VIOLENCE/DODGY FIRE ALARM PANEL
South Essex homes have had 3 reports now of theft from my mother. 3 motorbility bikes have been stolen this year. My mother is disabled and left stranded each time. No support offered at all. This is an average of £7,000-£10,000 worth of bikes stolen this year not including the other residence that have been a victim too. Since the first theft, her housing officer discussed placing an area where she can lock her bike in the store room. This has not been done at all nor any follow up she simply doesn’t care. No CCTV while this theft has taken place meaning they have not been able to assist with police and still no lesson learnt as a 3rd theft has occurred and again no CCTV. Would be delighted to know how you charge service charge, you cannot even provide safety. They also have a faulty fire panel that goes off all hours and a fire door that has not been fixed. don’t seem too bothered about this either, even if when knowing they have vulnerable tenants.
My mum has also been attacked by her neighbour and nearly had her phone robbed from her on another occasion. All reported yet no action. No security and no care. My mum is now in counselling due to the emotional strain and stress this has caused. I am absolutely disgusted the property is filled with vulnerable people. This block has constant druggies gaining access as you house drug dealers in the same flat as vulnerable. You often have druggies barging through to get to the drugs. I understand we cannot 100% avoid this but to be aware of the theft, violence and drug abuse that is going around here yet no action has been taken even as little as ensuring CCTV had been resolved after the first theft is a true reflecting of how little you care.
I expect compensation for my mother and will be going down the proper routes to ensure this is dealt with. If I am not happy with this outcome I will be escalating this to the ombudsman who would be delighted to be informed of all these safety issues you are not following up on.
