Do better

Communication was sub- satisfactory leading to a day wasted waiting indoors for a pick up. I then had to chase the company up the following day to discover when they were going to pick up. Really not good enough for the cost of the service
On reading your reply, I have to clarify. I rang to find out that there were stipulations on how the tiles were to be presented. The tiles had been repackaged exactly as they arrived, wrapped in the plastic sheeting and once requested, a photo was sent of this, the staff member then said they needed to be secured additionally to the pallet to avoid slippage. I told her i would do this, no mention of rope from me as that would have been inadequate, they were actually secured with good quality duct tape wrapped round the sheeted packaging and pallet. Having done so I waited to hear from the logistics staff member who I was told would contact me the following day. No word till I rang the office in the morning to discover that another picture was required of the parcels being secured to the pallet. I understand it was not done maliciously but there was inadequate communication and my time was wasted.

You requested collection on the 18th. We phoned you at around 9am to check how well the tiles were packed as we have had many problems with tile returns. We were told the tiles were wrapped and tied with rope which isn't really enough. We requested images from you to make sure the goods were safe to send. Sadly by the time the images had come over the 11.45 cut off time had passed hence the pallet being collected the following day. We are recommended by Total Tiles, Better Bathrooms and Victorian Plumb due to our attention to detail.

This was not miss sold! We send a disclaimer out to people shipping engines. They must be drained of all oil and packed correctly. Also the person shipping the engine will be liable for cleanup charges. These are industry standard. The fact you refused to accept the disclaimer makes us wonder if your engine was correctly drained and palletised.

Brilliant

Booked last minute before Christmas cut off and was here the day after brilliant service only thing that would be good is a tracking system so you know when it's going to be delivered after being picked up

Paying for a specific collection date…

Paying for a specific collection date seems a bit pointless if they don't turn up. I'm self-employed & can ill afford spending 8 hrs freezing in my workshop waiting for a driver not to turn up. That's twice in a row & they don't care when you tell them. Last time I'll ever use them.

Amazing service

Amazing service, so helpful and nothing to much effort from their telephone staff to the couriers making the collection. Would definitely recommend!

I placed the order on Tuesday

I placed the order on Tuesday. the pallet was to be collected on Wednesday. I was away on holiday. A week later I got an email from Speedshift asking what the dimensions of the pallet are. Shock. I should add that when ordering, the pallet dimensions and weight are specified. No professionalism.
P.S
The company did not pick up the pallet, which had been waiting for a week, and then the company tries to shift the blame in response to me. Shock!100% the company asked me about the dimensions after a week via email. There was no question about where the pallet would be taken from!

We tried 6 times to phone you. We left voicemails and sent you an email. We were NOT just trying to contact you to find out the size. The collection was from a self storage place. We also ring to check availability. We do this to avoid our customers having to pay a failed collection fee. I am sure that if we had just turned up without checking and the goods weren't ready you would have been most upset with an extra charge!

And also your collection and delivery drivers , nothing was a bother and they smiled which is a big plus these days .

Avoid avoid avoid!!

Avoid avoid avoid!!! Terrible service. Attempted to collect pallet for us but premises closed at 3pm so they charged me £42 collection fee which was fine so paid it then they decided to turn up at the premises after 3pm yet again knowing full well they closed at 3 only to be told I have to pay another 42.00 fine and that they wouldn't collect my pallet until I'd paid yet another fine after them knowing full well the premises closed at 3pm. Scammers trying to obtain money from people by deliberately turning up when business was closed. This was booked 21st Nov and it was 4th Dec and still hadn't collected my goods, wouldn't recommend at all !! Oh and when I told them to forget the whole travesty they wouldn't refund all of my collection money they only agreed to refund for half so I'm over £110 out of pocket and no collection has been made. Shocking service. Avoid !!!

There were no additional notes placed when this job was first booked. Nothing to advise us the place closed at 3pm. We are not scammers - the charge would have been applied by the collecting depot which, in this case, is a member of the UPN pallet network. We will investigate further as to what you alleged happened on the following collection attempt.

The reason you were charged twice was because you asked for the pallet to be delivered to a different address AFTER it was collected. The pallet had already got to the delivery depot so it had to go right back through the system all over again. You did agree to this extra charge.
