Terrible Experience with SpeedTalk

Terrible Experience with SpeedTalk – Avoid at All Costs!

I purchased a SpeedTalk SIM card specifically for calls, yet my son mainly used the internet. I used less than 10 minutes of call time per month, but in the middle of the year, they suddenly deactivated my plan without warning. I reached out to customer service, and they created a support ticket, but after that—nothing. No response, no resolution. Eventually, they just cut off my service entirely.

This is unacceptable and unprofessional. If you’re looking for reliable service and decent customer support, stay away from SpeedTalk. They clearly don’t care about their customers, and their lack of communication proves it. Save yourself the headache and choose a better provider!

Buyer beware of this mobile carrier

I bought a Smart Watch for my granddaughter for Christmas and my daughter decided it wouldn't work for her. I received a refund for the watch with no problem. However, the mobile carrier - SpeedTalk Mobile was very unreasonable and would not issue a refund. We never used any data or minutes, yet SpeedTalk Mobile refused to issue a refund telling me it was "buyer's remorse." I purchased 6 months of data/minutes in advance and they would not refund any of it. I consider this very poor customer service and the watch company may need to consider a different carrier. Very disappointing!

I activated a sim card

I activated a sim card, it worked for 5 minutes, the service was restricted, I was asked to pay again, the service worked for a couple of minutes and was restricted again. I had made two payments and no service. I canceled the plan but they will only refund one payment because the line was used (5 minutes max) I am waiting for one refund and I ended up pay the most expensive 5 minutes on a service $50.

Do not use this service, I don’t trust them.

Unacceptable Service and Deceptive Practices

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with SpeedTalk Mobile. Their service quality is abysmal, and their customer support is almost non-existent. Beyond the poor service, their practices are outright unethical.

1. Deceptive and Misleading Practices: They lure customers with attractive offers but fail to deliver on promises. Hidden charges and unclear terms are common.

2. Unethical Billing: They overcharge for services that are either not delivered or fail to meet basic standards. Refunds or resolutions are impossible to obtain.

3. Customer Exploitation: Instead of resolving issues, they seem more focused on looting their customers' money. Their refusal to address legitimate complaints or process cancellations feels like a scam.

I cannot recommend SpeedTalk Mobile to anyone. Stay far away if you value your time, money, and peace of mind.

Great customer service

Great customer service. Bought two cards when we arrived USA last year. My husbands phone was not compatible. Dealt through chatbot but explained that at 76 typing is not easy. Got a phone call and agent arranged refund and helped me through set up on my own phone.
This year I pre ordered my card which was waiting for me when we arrived. Short time later sim had been installed (despite sausage fingers) and within the hour the number was active.
On the downside, I couldn't reactivate my previous number but at my age there's not too many contacts to update.
I love Speedtalk and recommend it. Just make sure you read the auto-refill instructions properly!

useless, no help, scam, liars.

I ordered a watch Sunday, got it set it up paid 16$ for 3 months (500 calls 500 texts) starting Wednesday I noticed 5$ charge, then another thurs, Friday and sat. I emailed et got no reply. I called to be told my son within 6 days used up all minutes-which is impossible. He has a total of 4 texts and 13 phone calls. Then they told me they refused to refund me, et told me that the phone was calling et texting it's self that's how it went over 3 months worth of data. When I told them I just wanted to cancel they then told me I had to do it on a website I couldn't login to, I pointed out that the number I called to activate was the same one I was calling on so it's funny that they can activate it, but can't deactivate it? I received an email saying it was deactivated but just to be safe I'm blocking them on my account so they can't charge at all et I flagged them as fraud through my bank. No help. No refund. the watch was checked-it's working fine now that we have a different provider.

It feels like a scam

I canceled my phone service three months ago, but I'm still being charged for it even though I haven't been using the phone. It's frustrating that these charges continue despite no service being used. It feels like a scam, like they're finding new ways to make money!

They kept charging me after filling out…

They kept charging me after filling out cancellation form online as directed, and I never got an email back and when calling in they say they see no request submitted. I called in as well and was told to go to support.speedtalkmobile.com and the website wouldn’t open as it says it will steal or possibly my financial information. The people on the phone were kind but not helpful as they can’t refund you for any reason it seems and just repeat the policies and the info they have that keeps you in the same loop. Can’t cancel your account easily or stop the automatic payments easily don’t recommend this company at all. It feels like a scam when they make it difficult to cancel.

Sneaky. Sneaky.

Sneaky. Sneaky. Was signed up for automatic refill without my consent, so I was billed for a month even after I returned the phone because the service was unusable in my area. Customer service is just chat bots. Save some grief and just go with a legit wireless carrier.

Beware ! Pay for 1 yr service , got fake sim card and no phone service

I purchased a 1 year plan for my nephew, I followed all instructions and even got a phone number issued, The SIM CARD never worked!!! The sim card say is good to connect until July 29 2024 , fake sim ! ...Called 27 times !!! To cust.serv. 1-310-707-0000, they say a tech will call back , NO call back ! Contacted the seller on Ebay ( speedtalk mobile 7147 ) same deal , they will fix issue , NO fix issue NO refund...they dragged the situation until your refund window closes , all I asked was for a new sim card , they refuse and say issue is fix.. .100% pure lies from eBay seller and main speedtalk customer service mention. They took my money !!!!

Your CC will be stolen

I canceled in Jan of 2023 after my CC number was stolen to purchase an iPhone. Today they are still trying to charge my card luckily I’ve changed all my cards.

Horrible experience with company

Horrible experience with company. Tried to cancel one month to find that I was being charged again this month. Explained in previous month that my device had not been working for some time and just wanted pending charge to be canceled. Unfortunately, I was told that I was not eligible for a refund even though no minutes had been used. Definitely would not recommend service. Too much of a hassle just to cancel plan or stop auto. Customer service isn't the best.

Speedtalk mobile is so easy to use

Speedtalk mobile is so easy to use. I would like for them to expand their coverage areas to improve the service. There’s times my signal will get knocked out for hours in certain towns in rural Florida. Otherwise I love the cheap plan options that fit anyone’s budget and the easy to use platform. The fact that you can get them on Amazon is even better!

Beware of SpeedTalk scams

I bought a prepaid SIM card to use for a month. They required a credit card to active and then "auto-enrolled" me in a monthly charge for service. When I noticed it they would not do anything about it, in spite of the fact that I had not used the service.
