Not worth 1 star

I wouldn’t even give Spencer’s Syston or the actual overall company a 1 star! I had the worst experience buying a property. Lack of communication you have to keep chasing for updates. Lies about the property I brought. Took it to head office and even appealed and I got nothing apart of a rubbish apology! I will never deal with Spencer’s again.

So disappointing experience with…

So disappointing experience with Spencers. I don't think they are professionals. I don't believe their reviews in Google are true. We had the worst experience like tenants. Katy and Naomi let us down. So the things now escalated to Property Ombudsman. Please tenants and landlords and any other people who are using their services look after your rights! Keep your evidences and report Spencers to Property Ombudsman like I do.

Laila Green viewing.

Laila was extremely helpful and efficient, allowing us to take our time at the viewing, also was very responsive to our questions. She was also very customer focused and informative about the property and area. Presents as a warm and very professional person.

Youre lied to through the whole process
If you’re selling a property you need to be in direct contact with your buyer and if you’re buying you need to be in direct contact with your seller to make sure you are selling for the same price your buyer is buying for and vice versa . He is NOT allowed by law to take deposits . Under no circumstances let him coerce you into to giving him money ! You won’t get it back . Had my buyer not got in contact with me I would NEVER have known he was selling my property for more than he was telling me and my buyer was buying for more than I was selling for . The deposit he took from her I knew nothing about but he’d written a letter to her saying as per agreed by the family and it certainly was not the case . This person needs stopping . I don’t know how many companies he’s had .

Deposit

Very bad experience with Spencer's they very far from professionals. Still waiting for my deposit back. I think your company need to employ new staff as this one is like they do want to do they job properly.

I didn't have a great experience with…

I didn't have a great experience with Spencer's. The photos and write-up about the property were good, and the house sold in just two days, so they didn't have much to do. However, it took over five months to complete the sale, and I didn't receive a single update without having to chase them. I didn't feel that I got any value for money from Spencer's in Blaby.

Spencers of Lymington

Our property has been sold through Spencers of Lymington who are first class. They are all helpful highly professional people, efficient and friendly who knew all about what was happening throughout our sale and Neville went that extra mile advising us from beginning to end. We thoroughly recommend them without any hesitation.

Terrible

I think they pay people on Google to give them five-star reviews. I sold my house with them recently and thought they were terrible. They are up themselves. Please do not use this agent. Use Purple Bricks instead. A friend used them and said they were fantastic.

Shady Reneval Practices

Over a Month perior the renewal of the tenancy agreement I have asked about my new rent which they stated that will rise from 505 to 525 nothing suprising there so far, but after weeks of waiting I have contacted them again to ask for my TA reneval and they did it 2 working days before the Agreement Expires the rent was risen to 590 and on top of that they had the audicity to lie to me over the phone that once I sign the contract I am NOT allowed to leave the property with 1 month notice and have to stay till thecontract expire.

Avoid the company Not To Be Trusted.

Bunch of crooks leeching normal people

After 2 years, I have to say, theirs is an absolutely rubbish service. I couldn't even imagine before, that you get this dogsh*t of a service for 13% of your money as landlord. Not to mention what they are putting you up as a teanant as well. 0 control, they are not checking the properties, not forwarding teanant requests and questions, absolutely ignoring both sides, while they are taking 13%!!! of the monthly rent for literally NOTHING. Their contractors are terrible as well, out of 5 only 1 did an acceptable job, however they are not even getting the details they need from the agency. Both Countrywide and Spencer's are a joke, a ripoff, parasites leeching both teanants and house owners. They contact either party ONLY if they want money. You have a question? ignored. You have a problem? ignored. this is a shut and pay service, without actually getting service. stay away from these crooks.
