Spin CDs 

Waited since April 20th for my order supposedly soon to be shipped.
No longer responding to my emails asking for a refund. A bunch of crooks.

Like many others here, I ordered a cd over two months ago, they charged my card and kept getting the runaround for several weeks from someone there named Steve Brooks. Last few weeks he's just stopped responding - no cd, no refund. I wish I had seen these reviews before! Absolute crooks! Will need to go to my CC bank for relief.

Still waiting for money back from an order placed on 10th May 2018. Trying to get through on the phone is a joke. Emails? Had four responses over the last four months, one of which was acknowledgement of my order, another my sign in acceptance.

Four people have given Spincds 4star ratings on this website. Almost everybody else has given 1star. I would have given 0star if that were possible.

Stay clear of this firm which promises but does not appear to deliver.

Ordered a magazine from here a month ago, never received it, as other people have said there is no communication from them at all, no reply to emails, never answer the phone. As a last resort contacted my credit card company and they refunded my £9.99 almost instantly. But certainly won't be ordering here again. Buyer beware!!

This review is an update..I ordered and paid for a CD and did not get it so I tried to contact spin cds via email to see where my order was I did get a reply 2 weeks later with a promise of a delivery which hasn't happened!
So I spoke to the Natwest bank they emailed me a claim form and the got my money back. Every one who has lost money from spin cds should do the same it works...

Takes forever to get your order, despite saying item is in stock, if you ever do get it.
Ordered some vinyl during their 20% off world cup offer, took the money immediately, order still showing as pending approaching 4 weeks later.
Customer care is non-existent, website message ignored, emails ignored and phone is never answered. The added bonus is that even the address they show is not theirs, it's a cafe with an architects above.
Looks like I will have to get my bank/credit card to make a chargeback.

They were never the fastest company and I agree with other people that it's frustrating to pay up front and then have to wait. On the other hand they do offer some good deals, especially on box sets.

As a customer for many years I shall be sticking with them and I hope they get back to their usual standards.

Item ordered 28th July. Payment process very slick. Website indicated that item usually ships within 24 hours. Checked website on 3rd August - Order showing as Processing. Email enquiry sent requesting shipping. No acknowledgement or reply from Spin CDs. Item not received by 7th August so further email sent. Also called company telephone number, answerphone response only. No contact possible. Checked out other customer experiences online and it seems that Spin CDs are trading fraudulently by taking payment for goods with no intention to supply.

I have used them for quite a few years and they were fine. I currently have about 12 orders unfulfilled. Steve told me a few months ago that they would send them. But nothing. I have tried calling today but they say they are closed. I should have looked at the reviews sooner. I am still getting email offers.

I ordered a THE THE box set on 8th June for £37 they took the money on the 11th June, I am still waiting for delivery I had an email from Steve Brooks to say they had to order it from somewhere else and would take about another 2 weeks that was a month ago I have since sent 3 emails and they haven't replied to any of them, you cant even phone them up to discuss as they are never open according to phone message, will never use again hopefully I will get my money back one day

I work in the record industry so I understand the vagaries around release dates and stock availability and that orders can sometimes be delayed but none of that excuses Spin's absolute lack of responsibility for supplying stock which they have taken money for. I write this review on behalf of my father who is 72, still loves his music and as an old school record buyer still likes to give his money to the smaller companies rather than the likes of Amazon. Sadly he didn't read the reviews here before he purchased. Spin have taken his money over a month ago, given no updates on where his order is, not responded to any communication including repeated requests for refunds. It's theft basically. How are they still trading? It beggars belief as this is not a one off incident but is repeated over and over. There are loads of great genuine online record shops out there who will not rip you off. Please use them and avoid this company at all costs.

Don't have items in stock, even if on product page appear " Usually dispatched within 24 hours". Two weeks after the payment, a status of my order is still "processing". Beware of them!

Yes I have been screwed over several times by this company. One order was never sent and I ended up threatening them with legal action and finally I got a refund. Another order arrived over a year late and I still have £40 worth of stuff waiting for delivery over two years later. When they finally do reply to emails, they say the order has been delayed/they have been let down/ it will be in stock in a month or so. Three months later they say the same thing. I am amazed they are still allowed to trade.

I paid for 2CDs Boz Scaggs (pre-order) in November 2017 by credit card. They have been released late-May 2018. But I never got them.

They just don't deliver, respond to email or answer the phone. They do take prompt payment however.

Fraud, extremely dangerous!!! Money taken, nothing delivered, no asnwers. Contact impossible.

Recently ordered Def Leppard box set,same as everyone else,no answer to calls,emails went straight to gov .co.uk to put claim in, surprise,surprise I had email saying money has been refunded waiting for this to happen through gov.com. The reason that couldn’t supply box set was no stock, but still advertising as stock

Have waited 1 and half years cannot contact n any way tryed many times started got think I won't see money or cds

What I don't like about Spin, who I have been using for some years, is their apparent inability to respond to my courteous request for an update [or to answer the "phone] as to my longstanding orders, when, at the same time, they positively bombard me with emails regarding new releases. That comes over as taking the p***. Historically, I have achieved satisfactory contacts with, in particular, Steve Brooks, but these appear, ipso facto, to be all in the past. On principle, I choose to support indie outfits rather than the dreaded Amazon, but inadequate [or rather, non-existent] communication skills are leading me to the conclusion that I am wasting my time.

Still no goods received - five months after they took my money. No reply to emails. I am clearly not alone in this.

My suggestion is to register all Spin CD's issues with Newcastle City Trading Standards Office - search for the Trading Standards Online Reporting Form on the Newcastle City Council website.
