Spoonflower makes uploading designs easy. The products are very good. Prices in CAD $ are bit high though.

My first sign this company would be a problem was the purchasing process. Took me 4 days just to process an order. Then the promotion passed and the order went through. Then the items came on mismatched. We ordered wallpaper and matching curtains. Same style, color, pattern but the wallpaper was blue and curtains were green. When I tried to return them they denied the return. Lost thousands of dollars on this due to wasted materials, paying installers, repainting the room to match the wall paper. Do not waste your time with this company. If you do, be warned and test every single piece.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This is the first review I have ever left for a product, but my experience with Spoonflower deserves one.
I purchased their grasscloth wallpaper and was shocked by how poorly the pattern was printed. The design does not align between panels at all, making it impossible to install with a clean seam. When I reached out for help, I was told that their wallpapers are meant to be overlapped and double-cut, which is absolutely not a standard or appropriate installation method for grasscloth. Every professional installer I’ve spoken to has said the same thing.
What frustrates me most is that Spoonflower uses the same generic, one-size-fits-all installation instructions for every wallpaper type (peel-and-stick, smooth, woven, grasscloth), even though these materials behave completely differently. Instead of acknowledging the printing inconsistency, they insisted the issue was “normal” and told me to cut through layers of thick, expensive grasscloth to force the pattern to match, essentially gaslighting me into believing this was acceptable.
They refused to offer a reprint, a return, a partial credit, or any type of solution, even though the product arrived misprinted and unusable. For a premium-priced wallpaper, the quality control and customer service were deeply disappointing.
I’m extremely frustrated with the lack of accountability and would not recommend Spoonflower for grasscloth or any wallpaper that requires pattern alignment. If something arrives defective, you’re completely on your own and they will fight you on their outrageous policies. 0/10 absolutely horrible experience and company.

Many of their prints look sloppy and cheap in person and they are tightwads when it comes to discounts. Their customer service is rude. After several orders with them, I'm moving on.

EDIT: Spoonflower credited me for the paper, so I'll give them another shot. I do like the designs and concept of the site, so hopefully they will improve the interface to avoid this kind of problem in the future, For the moment, potential customers should still exercise caution prior to ordering, and probably interact with customer service if there is any doubt about what product precisely matches the samples you ordered. Keep in mind that many options are intended for professional installers in commercial settings, and will be unsuitable for amateur installation on flimsy or rented drywall. In general the sales are final.
Original review: The designs are beautiful, but there is a lousy combination of a bewildering array of poorly labeled options on some products with an inability to simply click "order full roll of this exact thing I ordered a sample of". If you mess up, you are screwed, because there are NO RETURNS, regardless of circumstance, regardless if colors don't match, regardless if they didn't properly label what they were sending you. I tolerated this once before with a duvet cover that arrived washed-out looking and uncomfortable, so shame on me for thinking it would be any better for wallpaper. There are better companies to support; hopefully the independent artists who provide the nice designs will migrate elsewhere.

We ordered three rolls of grasscloth wallpaper - a splurge for a wall in my office. First, the wall paper was insanely expensive. I figured I would make the investment since this was my special office space. When the rolls arrived and our wallpaper specialist was installing them, she called me over to point out a DRAMATIC difference in tone between one of the rolls and the other two. It was horribly noticeable. I spent an hour on with customer service. Three days later I got an email offering me store credit. I don't want store credit - I am out 500 dollars of wallpaper I cannot use, and 600 dollars to the wallpaper installation specialist. I have to pay more to have this undone after I purchase new paper from a higher quality and more reliable printer.

With the fall of JoAnn’s, we who sew have been left with a black hole when it comes to getting different types of fabric. In the past I’ve purchased cotton fabric from Spoonflower and was so disappointed by the quality that I didn’t use it. Now, when searching for some basic printed knit fabric for children’s pajamas, I was shocked that they want $32 per yard! No Thank you, I’ll look elsewhere and not bother with you next time…

I have many years exp hanging wallpaper. Honestly, this paper is cheap looking. If you want a generic look, buy it. Wallpaper is supposed to make a room transform into a scenic place, not like you tore out magazine pages and plastered them on your walls.

A+ customer service! Erin was a pleasure to work with—she handled my niche question about a smaller-scale wallpaper design with patience and professionalism. She took the time to understand what I was looking for and ultimately guided me to two or three alternative options that were much closer to my vision. Her thoughtful approach made the process smooth and enjoyable.

I ordered a brown and gold paper but received a green (olive) and mustard color that was awful. Reached out they offered in store credit, so I though I will look again and see if I can find something. They refused to refund me for my error so I called the credit card company to dispute...... DO NOT AGREED to in store credit YOU WILL LOOSE your funds. I do not recommend this company !!!!!!!

I've been a Spoonflower customer for years now. I design fabric that I then have printed and sew into bags that I sell. The fabric is great. Whenever I have any kind of issue, the problems are handled quickly and efficiently.

BEWARE. If you want to take a chance with this website, order samples first!! I searched for black wallpaper and ordered what appeared to be black wallpaper. It's black with Pirate Skulls, a bathroom I'm designing with team colors in mind. There was nothing in the pictures or description to indicate that this paper is light brown and green. It is NOTHING like the pictures, and the description does not specify this! I just threw away $1400 worth of paper into the garbage. Even as a trade member, Spoonflower was entirely unwilling to acknowledge that the listing is misleading or work with me to resolve it. I wish I could post pictures here, because what is shown vs what I received is truly shocking. I thought it was the wrong paper... Nope, just not a trustworthy vendor.

So disappointed. Spent almost 2k on wallpaper and can not get the designs to line up if the top lines up the bottom will not. Waiting to hear from their support team to see how this can be resolved. So disappointed at this cost there should not be any issues. Make note they do NOT have a CS phone number which makes resolutions a nightmare.

I spent $40 on wallpaper samples described as “textured” and “burlap,” but the samples that arrived were photographs. I feel scammed, although I now realize ($4o too late) that this site is merely a printer.

I’m really blown away by the customer service from Spoonflower.
Brianna was a huge help to me and I can’t thank her enough for taking the time to be kind and helpful.
I’m very grateful and can’t recommend this company enough.

Like has been stated, if you have any problems, good luck getting anyone to help you. And know that you must have time to attempt to put up the wallpaper right away. The peel and stick wallpaper did not stick. It bubbled and then even started falling off the wall. By the time I got up the wallpaper and it started to fall off, the 30 day limit had passed by a few days and they would do nothing I may as well have thrown away $243. I have tried much cheaper peel and stick wallpaper from Home Depot and Menards which has stayed up for years. Don’t waste your money!

I absolutely loved the wallpaper we received (peel and stick). The quality of the paper seemed premium and the print was beautiful. I was only covering a small wall behind my daughters bed. The print on the bottom of the three rolls I received were a little off but I overlooked this because it was behind the headboard or you couldn't really tell. After following all of the detailed installation instructions to a T (with the help of my mother who has installed a lot of wallpaper over the decades without any failing), the wallpaper only lasted on the wall for three months during a period of low humidity and little temperature fluctuations. We prepped the wall the way that we should have as well. But still three months later, it was falling down but still manageable. But by the end of the summer (after there was lots of humidity) all three panels came crashing down and folding on itself, with one panel tearing when trying to carefully separate it. Spoonflower's customer service asked for a whole series of specific questions like when was the wall painted, what kind of paint and primer used, what was the brand; take a picture of the wall texture; when was this installed temperature and humidity wise, rapid fluctuations after install; describe in very specific detail how I installed it. It was absurd but I obliged seeing that they are doing their due diligence. It took a lot of time to answer these specific questions accurately. In the end their response that peel and stick can fail for a number of reasons but then admitted that it this didn't seem to the case for me. Still they could do nothing because it was past the 30 days of ordering the product that they have a 30 day refund window. There was no acknowledge of the fact that the wallpaper completely failed. We have other much cheaper peel and stick from home depot that was up in the closet of the same room. That has stayed up for two years now without any issues. I thought I was buying a quality product, but this was not the case. Spoonflower's customer service is set up to just make you work harder for the same response - sorry your SIL. In the end, perhaps I should have went with pre-pasted but my daughter is young and I wanted a product that could last a few years and if changing was requested, it wouldn't be hard. No chance! I cannot provide a review online for some reason, otherwise I would do that. I also submitted a complaint to BBB. Peel and stick wallpaper works well but either Spoonflower is scamming people or they need to review the quality of the peel and stick glue relative to the weight of the wallpaper. If you can, buy higher end wallpaper from somewhere else.

I ordered wallpaper samples from Spoonflower. They still have not arrived, and so I cannot attest to the quality of my order, if it ever even makes it to me.
I received an email letting me know that my order had shipped. They gave me a tracking number and said "it might take a few days for the number to register on the UPS website." Well, it hasn't, even a week and a half after receiving the shipping email. When I asked the website chat bot about it, the reply was "sometimes carriers skip scanning packages to speed up shipping times."
The package is going to get scanned at some point, so I waited until today. This time the website chat bot connected me with a representative who claimed that they were very sorry and they wish they had more control over what happens to orders after they are turned over to the carriers. They said that customers often receive their orders before the carrier website registers the tracking number. Then they cancelled my order and reordered my product before I even responded.
I told her that I didn't want it. If its not going to show up by Friday, I'm going to miss my product deadline and I will have to come up with another solution.
Then I get an email stating that my order had been canceled and refunded in a way that I can only use the refund on their site.
My theory, and this is just a theory, is that they generate one blanket tracking number for smaller orders and send that number to the customer's. Then they blame the carriers. I expected way better from a company of this size.

Products on this site are good but if you have a problem good luck with getting it sorted, there doesn’t seem to be any humans manning the questions or issues emails. I spent hours and picked over a thousand dollars worth of product, went through the details section for delivery but it won’t accept my phone number so the order cannot go through to payment. Tried the suggested ai chat box but it didn’t have a clue what I was trying to ask it. Tried the ai’s suggestion of sending an email but the reply email I got seemed to be from another ai. I then looked up the designer to see if I could buy her wallpaper from another company but it appears she’s put all her eggs in the one basket, can only be bought on Spoonflower. I wonder how many sales the owner of spoonflower has lost due to their ai, probably more than if they hired humans to answer customer quieries.
