Absolute crooks
Absolute crooks. My ordered was late beyond promised shipping date. When I called to check on my order it was magically sent to payment verification team. I was told I had to wait 48 hrs to hear back from them. They canceled my order without hearing from payment verification team because it was for my safety…. The item is now $300 more expensive, 50 miles further from original store, and I’m not allowed to reorder the item before the verification team reviews my credit card….. aaaand they have my $2,776.54 on hold for a week for an item they canceld.. No direct line to verification team. I will never buy a thing from sportsman’s warehouse again.
Misleading order information…
I ordered a scope that was listed as "in stock", the order status was listed as pending shipment for a week. I contacted customer service via chat and was told that the items is actually coming from the manufacturer and that would take 7 to 10 days. I requested a refund. I reordered the same scope from "A" and will have it tomorrow for$35 less.
Lousy service
Worst customer service I was there 3times for over twenty minutes 2 to buy a handgun one to buy ammo all the the time eve though they were really slow nobody even looked at me at least at turners they acknowledged you
Never going back to this store in Murrieta
Take your business elsewhere
I received an email from Sportsman’s that advertised a firearm I had been looking for. I clicked over to the website and made the purchase immediately. That was Feb 28, and my emailed invoice stated estimated pickup to be March 7. On March 9, after having heard nothing further, and when checking the order online it still stated “pending”, I called to see what was up. I was told “the firearms acquisition team was working on acquiring the gun and would be in touch.” Excuse me? You sold me a gun you don’t even have? And you have a team that is doing the same thing I can do myself, I.e. find a gun online? And my credit card was charged? I hung up, found the exact same firearm at another source for the exact same price (although I had to pay shipping), made the purchase, called SW back and said to cancel the order. Now I get placed on hold for a few minutes, and when the person came back on the phone was told the firearms team had been notified and would “attempt to cancel” my order within a few days. Gracious! As an aside, I got an email the next day stating that my new pickup date was March 24, almost one month after placing the order.
Folks, this outfit doesn’t know how to do business apparently. They lost me as a customer, permanently. I suggest you look elsewhere for your sporting goods supplies.
service
I went to your store with my new TX22 that I got from your store to have a reflex sight mounted. Did'nt matter I got it there you would not help me because I did'nt buy the service plan. I have purchased 2 handguns from you since Jan a Kimber 1911 and the Tarus TX22 with plans of buying more not how. Oh one more more thing the guy behind the counter has an ass.
Cancelling completed orders for sale items
I completed an order for an Orvis wading jacket that was on sale, including submitting my credit card and receiving a confirmation email. I subsequently received a message that my order was cancelled because the item was out of stock. Six days later I received an email from Sportsman's that said I left an item in my cart. I once again completed an order, submitted my credit card info and received a different confirmation number. After approximately one week I received a cancellation email for my second order saying the item was out of stock. I went to their website and it still showed the item at the sale price and said it was in stock so I called customer service. The representative hung up on me because she insisted the item was out of stock even though I told her I had it showing on my computer screen at that very moment and it still said it was on sale and in stock. I sent two emails to customer service and have yet to receive a reply. If the product was out of stock and the sale price would not be honored, why continue to show it as available and continue to accept orders? Sale price on an out-of-stock item is great bait to draw you in and possibly get you to buy another product at a higher price. Customer Service is a complete misnomer. I would have given a rating of less than one if that was an available option.
Dismal experience to pick-up a gun I ordered
Was there to pick-up a gun I ordered. There was a long 45 min wait. The help wasn't helpful. When my number was called the young guy helping me went over and started listening to a conversation about a 44 mag. I said "hey how about finishing my order." This led to the gun counter Mgr. and myself in a stare down. It worked, because I won't ever buy a gun from them again.
Twin Falls, ID store refused to credit purchase price on a return
I have been a long time customer of Sportsman's Warehouse, spending thousands of dollars over the years, first in Vancouver, WA and now in Twin Falls, Idaho. I was given a gun case that cost $279.99 for Father's Day and was told I could return it if I wanted something else. I tried to return it today with the original receipt, and they tried to deduct a $50 coupon from the purchase price, that was given to the buyer. I was unaware of the coupon and after asking my friend that bought it, she told me she thought it was for the mistake they made when they charged her $349.99 for the case instead of $279.99, and she had to dispute it with them. Turns out it was a promotion for spending over $200 and only good for 2 weeks in July. They refused to give me the full refund, so I suggested that they just give me a store credit so the money would stay in their store, and they refused that too. They said I had to return the coupon whether I spent the money there or not. This doesn't make sense to me. Then the clerk told me I would also need the credit card it was charged. I told her I don't carry other people's credit cards around. I did speak to the manager as well and suggested the store credit, but he refused as well. It baffles me that they would willingly throw away two loyal customers for no logical reason.
