Thankfully spoticar warranty approved all works. And 8wks later spoticar approved further works within a few days. To replace AC compressor. Thank you spoticar Warranty.

Google the definition of scam, Spoticar appear.

Pointless warranty in all honesty. They push for the car to go to manufacturer garage, and if you try and take it to your local garage that is more than capable of doing the work they'll proceed to mess the garage around over the smallest of things so they don't need to pay them. 10 days hire car cover is a complete slap in the face if you need to take the car to a manufacturers garage, I own a Renault and most Renault dealerships in my area are busy for the next 6-8 weeks, by the time they look at my vehicle and confirm the issue I'll be without my own car for 8-10 weeks, they'd only cover 10 days of those 56-70 days.

After a week of 10 calls a day trying to get my car sorted I've eventually had to dip into my own pocket and pay for it to get fixed. I'll never ever look to Spoticar ever again, a complete scam.

Avoid any garage using Spoticar

Had such a terrible experience using a garage which sells spoticar vehicles. Experience still not rectified - car is still in garage after being sold an unsafe car. Avoid at all costs. Can’t explain the stress that has been caused by this. I have no trust at all in spoticar or in the garage itself.

The first time i've ventured into…

The first time i've ventured into extended warranty for a vehicle and paid good money for a 3 year period of cover. For the 2nd time I have contacted Spoticar due to issues with the car and again the same message about it not being covered. On this occasion I have moisture in the lens of the near side front headlamp, it isn't broken but just a failure of the unit to keep moisture out and therefore needs replacing like any other mechanical part of the vehicle. It is not a serviceable item nor is it a consumable item like brakes and tyres etc.... moving forward I will never buy additional warranty or extended warranty, complete rip off!!

Part-exchange/Half price

The proposed part-exchange of the car was half the price and when I offer my expectations, no one contacts with me anymore. The price is not negotiable and it turns out that they do not take the customer seriously or maybe I was just unlucky with the employee

Never again

Never again. Condescending, unhelpful, they'll be lucky if I don't just throw the car back at the dealer and walk away. I will never buy another car that has even a hint of this company on it.

Avoid at all costs…

Terrible company we payed 385 for 18 months warranty with our car that we payed 26 thousand pounds for..3 weeks into owning the car the air suspension went..we were told we had to go through the main dealer to sort this.. unfortunately spoticar keep saying we can't do anything until we speak to the garage..this continued for week we had a full professional video by a top dealer to show what needed doing and they still refused to help..I will never use this company again it has caused us no end of stress when we thought we were paying for piece of mind..if anything else goes wrong now I won't bother contacting spoticar..the warranty isn't worth the paper it's written in and I cannot believe garages are still selling this ..

Awful company

Spoticar warranty is not worth the paper it's written on.
First experience of them earlier this year - they had not set up the RAC cover part of the warranty properly so when I broke down I had to take out my own RAC cover in order to get help, then claim it back when they finally rectified the cover.
Second experience this year - their booklet contains conflicting information and mistakes. They then do not honour the information they have printed, saying a different thing again.
They said I could use my local independent garage for the repairs needed under their warranty, only problem then is that my local independent garage who I have always used, will not touch spoticar due to the bad experiences they have had with them in the past! Says it all.
Awful company run by clueless idiots. They need to go under.

Purchased a Skoda Rapid from Donnellys…

Purchased a Skoda Rapid from Donnellys in Enniskillen 8 months later the bushen went on the drivers side and it's covered by warranty so I took it to Donnellys to which they said it wasn't. I rang spoticar and they said because of the high milage 62,000 and the year 2017 they wouldn't cover it , I explained it doesn't mention miles nor a year on the warranty an they stood firm and wouldn't pay out. I ended up paying my own mechanic to do the job . I complained to Donnellys about this warranty company and said this is fraud , they paid up for the repairs quickly . Something isn't right here and I've requested a freedom of information on works I've had done in the past from spoticar and they haven't answered my registered letter , so next is the ombudsman, they'll answer now as it'll go public an people won't be fooled by false warranty advertising.

I purchased a van in January from…

I purchased a van in January from Wilmoths Citreon in Folkestone. It’s a business vehicle and I paid in excess off £20k with VAT. Within 2 weeks I had a hand brake fault appear whilst doing 65mph. To cut a long story short I had to stop turn the vehicle off and allow it to reset. This kept happening so I took the van in, not covered under Spoticar. So paid over £380 to not have the problem fixed. Here I am 8 months in with a vehicle that keeps going into fault has lost me a lot of time and money trying to repair whilst losing time at work. Also as the fault keeps happening when I arrive at work I often have to chock the vehicle and leave in gear as the handbrake is in fault. No longer is there a quality of service from a main dealer. If you see a Spoticar warranty, run away! Do not go near it. The only winner is the dealer who sold it. You may have to wait weeks to have it assessed and the likely hood is it will not be covered. Read the reviews!

Excellent service under the warranty…

Excellent service under the warranty scheme. Purchased car 3 months prior which came with a year's Spoticar warranty. Had major problem when the cambelt disintegrated on the car requiring urgent attention to save further catastrophic damage to the entire engine. Fortunately the vehicle was recovered quickly and we managed to find a garage to deal with situation expediently. Contacted Richard Dewey at Spoticar who was extremely helpful and advised us exactly how to process a claim. Throughout communication was excellent and although it took a few weeks, we were reimbursed in full. Great service! With our thanks to Richard Dewey and to Kim Derbyshire for dealing with our claim!

I'm disgusted at this company and its…

I'm disgusted at this company and its incompetence. I knew my warranty was coming up for renewal and on Friday last, (26/7/24) I got a letter prompting me to purchase. The sum of £318.96 was confirmed on this latest brochure/letter.
When I called them up to renew this morning I was informed by Louie that the renewal pricewas now £384.00!
When I asked how come it has risen since my letter on Friday he told me "We had a price rise across the board on July 1st"... So why did this inept company send me a renewal some 3 weeks later detailing the price of £318.96? I asked to speak to Louie's line manager or supervisor, but he was being most obstructive & smart in his replies. Anyway, I persevered and got a call from his superior (Sarah) who said, "This is our marketing dept a third-party company that has sent this to you." Nothing short of pathetic.

I have just purchased a Mitsubishi from…West End Motors

I have just purchased a Mitsubishi from a Spoticar Dealer in April 2024. Took it back a few weeks later as noticed a knocking noise from the engine (diesel). After waiting another 2 weeks for Independent Enginner to look at vehicle, I am now waiting another 2 weeks for their report. After contacting them, I was told they are still waiting for their engineers report. How long do I wait?

Avoid at all costs

Dreadful! Had car less than year and reported play in the steering , had it checked at VAT registered garage as advised. Spoticar have been really awkward saying the steering rod issue is wear and tear!! There was no issues when I bought the car, it had a full service done and no issues found. Won’t pay out to have it fixed. Absolutely useless and the people you speak to just don’t care at all! No point in having a warranty! Avoid at all cost. Have reported to trading standards

Excellent service received from Simon…

Excellent service received from Simon Bailes Dealership Guisborough , Laurence was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the car that we purchased , sat in the car with my husband and I and went through all the cars controls . We went to a few car dealerships before we decided to purchase from Simon Bailes Guisborough , and so pleased we did . We received a more personal service , Laurence was a lovely young man and is an asset to Simon Bailes Dealership. 10/10 would highly recommend 👍

This warranty seems to come as standard…

This warranty seems to come as standard if you buy a second hand car from a dealer. Still paid about £8,000 for the car and within a couple of months the roof started leaking water into the boot every time it rains ruining the material on the roof and the contents of the boot. A years warranty is useless as it doesn't seem to cover anything. I have to pay £200 for a diagnosis first and then probably for the repair as they don't cover seals. I thought that buying from a dealer would offer some protection but this isn't worth the paper it's written on. Rubbish.
