Website is absolutely horrendous to use - it constantly glitches out and the filters don’t work making it impossible to actually browse through the cars

Brought a 18 months old car from…
Brought a 18 months old car from Redditch vauxhall with in 24 hours engine management light on and in limp mode. Phoned he help line to be cut of firstly then on second attempt told car not taxed (taxed at dealership)so wouldn't help.left to make my own arrangements to get the car back to startins dealership 30 miles away to be told by the manager this is the best warranty on on the second hand car industry, god help us once these people have you money there not interested, let's hope it's a quick fix and the last time I go have to visit. Would rate this warranty less than one if it were possible along with the after sales at the dealership.
SPOTICAR WARRANTY IS ABSOLUTE DISGRACE
I purchased a used car from a main dealer and the Spoticar warranty was included in the purchase. Not an old car, two years old and 5,000 miles on the clock. At the end of 2022 the car developed an electronic fault and the RAC attended, could not repair so car recovered to main dealer. Hire car provided, to which I had to pay for but was advised the costs would be refunded, and this is the main issue. Pushed from RAC to Vauxhall to Spoticar and no refund! Each advising it’s the other to pay! Letter going to Motor Ombudsman. ABSOLUTELY APPALLING SERVICE!
WORTHLESS WARANTY
Well had my car one week, it needs a new clutch, called Spoticar and guess what! They do not cover worn clutches? Its a used car, Of course its a used worn clutch, unbelievable service, worthless warranty ....
Really helpful until they have your money
Saw a car on Spoticar which was at my local Robins and Day dealership, it was priced at £11750
I popped down to view it a few times then decided to buy it.
I couldn't take it that day as it had to have the spoticar multipoint checks done.
Sales person was having sometime of over Christmas and if we wanted to query anything in the meantime to email her and she would answer...I did email her and nothing.
The taxation class had to be changed to disabled and this is what the email was to arrange.
On the 28th Dec as arranged I popped in to hopefully drive away. They tried to charge me £12006 as that's the price on their system, but was still £11746 on spoticar, sales person had to ask her Manager if they could match the price, they did but made it sound like they were doing us a good deal.
The car needed to be taxed, I suggested if I pay for the car then I would take the v5 to the local postoffice to change the taxation class, apparently the dealer have to do this.
Arranged to collect next day but I was asked to wait for a phone call.
At the dealer it was not a case of paying and driving away, all the finance options had to be read out even though I was paying cash, then the option to extend the warranty, which we took. 12 month breakdown Included with an option for better cover which I took, sales person had to go away and find out what extra cover included
Next day during daylight I gave the car a good inspection, found out the blower did not work and the windscreen washer jet hoses were leaking.
Took the car back after 3 days (one was a bank holiday) The dealer ship had the car for 13 days and replaced heater resistor both wiper blades and associated hoses.
This car has supposedly had a FULL multipoint inspection and a service & MOT
The wiper blades were changed as they did not clear the screen, that in itself is an MOT failure.
I have emailed the sales Manager and as of writing this have not had any response after 5 days
read the section "servicing…
read the section "servicing requirements for your vauxhall" in the document, unless you have every receipt, part numbers, fluid specifications for every service, work that was done to your vehicle since it rolled of the assembly line, including previous owners, you basically have no claim, this is the joker in the pack, a dealership will not fix your car under warranty unless you can provide this information, fact. I was refused by the garage on this paragraph, despite what spoticar and vauxhall customer services said on the phone to me and the dealership.
Bought a car from peugeot
Bought a car from peugeot, within 3 months it had been in garage twice and both times spoticar failed to cover anything.
After reading the brocure the proof is there, nearly 2 pages full of things not covered by the warrenty.
No wonder its free.
Pathetic.
Spoticar, best car buying experience
Best car buying experience I’ve had. John at my local Peugeot dealer had incredible levels of customer service and made sure I was completely comfortable with my new (pre-loved) car and didn’t make me feel rushed to leave the dealership, he answered all my questions no matter how silly they may have seemed! This is my second car I’ve bought from John will recommend to anyone I can. Thank you!
rip off valuation
Asked for a pt ex valuation against car on there web site ,only to be quoted £3700 less than any one else and thats on a car just over 1 year old
DO NOT GO WITH THEM!
DO NOT GO WITH THEM!
Along with all the bad reviews here they Are really bad and nothing is ever covered. I’ve bought a car 5 months ago and two problems with the hand break have come up and the ‘warranty’ wouldn’t cover it. I’ve seen lots of other people have the same issues. They’re a con and doing it legally by only have SOME issues being covered by warranty. Awful awful experience
Beware of Diagnosis Charges (£120)!
Paid £20k for a vehicle from a franchised Vauxhall dealer.
The car had several faults, but the two I tried to claim via Spoticar was a loud rattling noise from a front wheel and air conditioning not working.
I paid £120 for a "diagnosis" of the wheel rattle (which was a loose part on the inside of the wheel which had obviously been there from me buying it).
I had to pay a further £180 for an aircon regas and leak test as this also wasn't covered by the "warranty", despite being accepted as a fault. The aircon has since stopped working again.
Spoticar Warranty Shortfall Rip Off
Please be aware their warranty is very poor and in my experience inadequate to cover the labour cost of repairs ie the warranty holder ends up paying some of the bill despite the defect being covered under the warranty.
Very disappointed and wishing I'd took the gamble and not paid the substantial extra money buying the car from a main dealer and falsely thinking I had a proper warranty - buyers beware
Very disappointed
Very disappointed! I found the perfect car for sale at Robins & Day West London on the Spoticar website. I got an online valuation for my car of £17,350 and continued to reserve the car for £99 and await finance quote, and organise collection. When I spoke to the dealer they said that the Spoticar valuations aren’t accurate and that my car is only worth £13,500. A total waste of my time and now I’m going to have to wait to get my £99 back.
Very very disappointing service
Very very disappointing service. Valuations are NOT honored by Rowcliffes Yeovil. Excuses that Spoticar are not accurate to the tune of 11%.
This is a scam to draw you in and then fleece you.
Interesting marketing tactic.

Spoticar failing to honour £200…
Spoticar failing to honour £200 repayment which Peugeot have agreed will be honoured. Advise avoiding Spoticar/Peugeot. Having to go to small claims court for redress - unacceptable
Spoticar False Advertising
@SpoticarUK Was looking to buy a Peugeot approved used car & was directed to your website. Read the statement about spoticar being the new owner of Peugeot used car network so felt confident about searching for my new car online. Found the perfect car, perfectly priced and followed the links to make further enquiries. After a chat with salesman & overnight thinking, decided I wanted to put down the £99 deposit. Called number as advertised again, spoke to same salesman who said this had to be done online. Told to click on link to pay deposit. Couldn’t find the link so salesman went on his phone to try and guide me to link. During instructions to me he described the car registration, which was correct but a price which didn’t tie up to the car I was looking at. The price I had on my advertisement for the same registered car, was over £6000 cheaper than what was being quoted to me over the phone. I was then told that the price on his system was correct as the car was at his garage! I sent a screenshot of the advertisement, from your website to him. He called me back to say that spoticar marketing had made a mistake which he requested to be changed. As the website appears to be the first point of sale for approved used cars, surely the cost should be honoured as advertised! I feel completely let down & also misled. Surely there are measures put in place to check everything being advertised before going live. It’s not even the case of a typo error where one digit was entered wrongly. This change in price is grossly different & inexcusable.
Spoticar should honour the price that they have advertised the car for & compensate the garage for the difference.
I have screen shots of the advertisement which I can provide. Please advise me what spoticar will do about this matter ASAP.
I will be interested to hear if others have had similar experiences.
