I always gave the restaurant in Milford 5 stars - now two! Staff are great but management have made this the most UN customer friendly place to eat and the food is not great!

Extremely Disappointed
Only giving one star because I can’t give zero. Absolutely awful service bot lady couldn't care less. We arrived with plenty of time for breakfast (they stop serving at 11:30), but after seating ourselves as no one came over despite waiting with a toddler and my 90-year-old nan we were finally approached at 11:10, only to be told they weren’t doing breakfast because the kitchen was “too busy”! Lunch doesn’t even start until 12, so we couldn’t order anything but cake. Completely unacceptable. Very disappointing experience and we won’t be visiting again.
Cafe staff need customer service training …..
Sadly the cafe has gone downhill…. Have been coming to this garden centre for many years. A couple of months ago went into the cafe for a coffee and cake. First had to wait ages for a table even though it was not particularly busy. Once seated another long wait, had to call someone over to take my order. The women behind the counter where they make drinks were talking loud enough that I could hear them, they were criticising one of their colleagues. Eventually my cake arrived then another ten minute wait for my coffee. I could see it on the counter but no one brought it over to me. In the end, I got up and retrieved it myself!
Today I visited the garden centre again. Thought I’d have a drink before looking around. It was not busy and there was a lady waiting to be seated in front of me. Well we waited and waited, could see staff wandering around, but no one made eye contact with us. I gave up in the ended and decided to look around the shop. After about 20 minutes I thought I’d try again. Same thing - no service at all even though staff were visible. Waited about 5 minutes then gave up. It’s a pity as the garden centre is well stocked but have been put off going back due to lack of good customer service in the cafe.

Leah at the aquarium is great 😊 her knowledge on fish is amazing, thank you for explaining about the male and female issue mine were having, I was not aware
Thank you
Dismally Disappointing
Badly organised, poor staff, slow service. Pointless restaurant. You have to wait so long to be seated that they stop serving breakfast and then they expect you to wait another 30 minutes for lunch.
Senior staff belittling junior staff in the cafe
Normally I have a lovely time at Squires Long Ditton but on Saturday when I sat to have lunch I witnessed a senior member of staff belittling junior staff continually for no reason I could see. It seemed so uncalled for and especially in front of customers. I wish I had complained at the time, but wasn't sure if I would receive the same response from the senior member of staff. It made my visit very uncomfortable and left me concerned for the individuals.
Gluten free menu options not really gluten free
Went for lunch with a coeliac sufferer.
Plenty of items marked as gluten free on the menu but when we tried to order they told us that the chips are fried in with everything else. So anything including chips isn't actually gf at all. Some false advertising there! The waitress we had also couldn't advise about whether they could be swapped for something else.
Waste of trip
Kept receiving vouchers to use their cafe. We went to the one that is 10 minutes away from Bracknell. Literally anything we ordered we were told either not available or only one potion left .
Please provide food first then worry about sending cafe discount vouchers out
Waste of trip
Very good customer service
Plant expert helped me choose suitable plants for the garden. Picked them out and pushed the trolley for me. I have physical difficulties which would make this difficult. Plant expert was knowledgeable about roses about which I was seeking advice. It was a very positive experience and everything went smoothly. Plants seem healthy.
Ordered a meal from your restaurant
Ordered a meal from your restaurant. Told there was a 20 minute delay. Waited nearly an hour. Not good enough. Cancelled our order
Will not return to restaurant again.

Product and stock clearly showing online at Hare Hatch outlet. Upon calling they refused to acknowledge the product existed and even allegedly checked the website asking me if I was actually in the Squires site! Don't like being called a liar which is effectively what they called me! Will not be walking thru their doors again!
Zero Customer Services
Having been a loyal customer for many years I decided to open a loyalty card. However, upon sending several emails to central customer services relating to my card, I have received zero response.
Sadly, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Rude manager ‘Karl’ in Stanmore branch
Rude manager ‘Karl’ in Stanmore branch. Poor people skills and will not be giving a penny of my money to the store in future because of his attitude problem.

I went to Squires Garden Centre in Hare Hatch for breakfast yesterday, and it was honestly disgusting. The decor was tired and uninviting, but what really put me off was the sticky table and filthy silverware—it was revolting. I immediately questioned the hygiene standards, but foolishly went ahead and ate anyway. Big mistake—within an hour, I had stomach pains and felt seriously unwell. Absolutely awful experience. I won’t be going back.
Very poor service or rather lack on any service at all.
Apart from the menu in the Cafe/restaurant being mainly overpriced, we decided to stop for a cup of tea. As you enter the cafe/restaurant, a sign asks you to take a seat, and someone will come over to take your order. We waited 15 minutes and received no such attention, so we left. It wasn't even particularly busy. We won't bother returning.

I visited Shepperton Squires with my husband who has dementia on Thursday 24 March. Lady at customer service desk was great showing me how to use the app. didn’t get her name.
Cafe staff lovely as always.
Then went outside to buy some bags of compost and few plants. Les was outstanding, helped put bags in trolley, escorted us to til point, came and loaded car and said ‘we’re here to help at any time’….such superb service and kindness.

Two of us visited Squires in Woking today for lunch. We had visited the cafe once before and not been happy, but decided to give them another try.
We chose a prawn jacket potato with salad and a daily special which was salmon, bearnaise sauce and veg.
Both meals were very small portions, jacket potato was minute. Vegetables were undercooked, half a carrot cut into batons, a dessert spoonful of peas and a few slices of courgette. Very disappointing and poor value. On the plus side, the decor was nice.
An Enjoyable Experience at Woking Squires
I went to Woking Squires Garden Centre and found very helpful and polite staff in both the restaurant and on the shop floor.
I took a group of 7 ladies for lunch and they all commented that the food and service in the restaurant were excellent.
The plants all looked well cared for and were good value.
Compost Delivery
Ordered large delivery of bags of compost which was delivered exactly according to my requested instructions. It could have been just dumped on the front drive as I wasn't in, but was carefully placed out of sight which was much appreciated. I ordered online but I think the delivery probably came from Long Ditton branch.
No service whatsoever
Went here today and simply never got served, as there were hardly any staff about - it was 2pm. Even when a staff member did appear they failed to look up and see if any customers needed attention. This business seem to treat people as an inconvenience. Anyway, after several minutes, I just got up and walked out. I had to do this once before. Never again.
