Excellent service x2
Unfortunately for my spouse and I, we each needed roadside assistance in April and May 2026, in two completely different English counties.
However, fortunately, we're both with START RESCUE. Very fast (arrived in about an hour both times), courteous, the app's a bit finnikity (imo) but speed is the big selling point.
I'd like to single out CRAIG for his excellent, knowledgeable service in Faringdon on 30 April. It was a quick fix, thankfully.
Then my spouse had double trouble (puncture and dead battery) but, yet again, service was really fast, courteous and decisive.
Hint: Get navigation app What3Words. START finds it really useful.

Quick response and diagnosis
They arrived within the hour and diagnosed the problem, even if they weren't able to fix it there and then.
The only slight fly in the ointment was that I wasn't able to complete the assistance request easily via the app, but the telephone customer service representative was excellent.

No fuss
No fuss, no over promising and under delivering. Remote beach car park in Cornwall, 6pm.Locked dogs in car and self out by closing the boot with the keys in side. Called Start - they had someone there in less than 25 minutes. Checked in every 10 minutes to see if we were ok. Attending tec couldn’t gain entry so called a specialist locksmith who was on site in 18 minutes. Car opened and all ended well. 1st class service from beginning to end.

A flat tyre required changing.
We had a flat tyre which required changing. We contacted Start Rescue and within 30 min we had technical assistance. The overall experience was fast and efficient.

Fast, Efficient, Friendly
After a little difficulty getting through to someone I could speak with the service was fast, efficient and friendly. A mechanic was with me within 30 minutes, my problem solved and I was back on the road 15 minutes later.
I found this service faster and and a great deal cheaper than the AA who I was with for around 30 years.
