Good to know
We understand that passengers come with luggage, so we won’t charge you any extra for yours. Car passengers can bring as much as they can fit into their vehicles. And foot passengers can bring as much as they can carry, so long as no single piece of luggage is over 23kg in weight. That makes packing a whole lot easier!

The Belfast-Cairn Ryan experience was, overall, reasonably good although late running caused us problems on arrival in Scotland. The main problems was with Fishguard-Rosslare - boarding for foot passengers via a bus to the car deck is a poor experience. The vessel was OK but the arrangements at Rosslare Europort are diabolical. The train departs 25 mins after the ship arrives and it is impossible to make this connection. It would help if the Stena shuttle bus that takes foot passengers from the ship through security to the terminal continued to the railway station, as the main problem is the half mile walk to the platform. This is unacceptable as a connection on a major transport link between the UK and Ireland. With luggage it is a challenge even in fine weather and would be miserable in rain. We were forced to catch the local bus to Wexford and a coach on to Dublin, arriving 3 hours later than planned - a miserable introduction to Ireland. Irish rail clearly have a role to play but Stena need to work much more closely with their fellow transport provider.

It was comfortable and relaxed, on a day sailing which was exactly on time at both ends of the journey. The staff
shop, restaurant and coffee bar were pleasant and helpful. All was clean, and there was plenty of room to move around.

Staff from first point of call( security) were so so helpful directing and advising as this was our first trip with a car.

Excellent service from booking to communication to the on ship experience. Lovely ship with great facilities, very comfortable, clean cabin and very friendly and efficient staff throughout the vessel.

We had isssues with one passenger not being able to travel, at the very last minute, a member of his family had an accident whilst on a previous holiday, which required various documentation which Stena provided without any hassle at all. We as a group have travelled with Stena for many years, this is why, whenthngs go wrong, they help, not hinder.

The members system is less beneficial for travellers who have done the journey for over 20 years, a couple of times a year. Prices on board are very high and the choice of food/ healthy food is minimal.
Cleanliness on board varies. Some cabines are not very clean.

Had a good sailing to & from Belfast. Kept informed of delays.
My only issue is as there weren’t any cabins I booked the Hygge lounge & the chairs were very uncomfortable so had very poor sleep. All staff friendly and professional.

Excellent experience with Stena. Ferry was clean, well maintained, not over busy. Staff were professional, helpful and nice. We loved the open deck at the top of the ferry (deck 6) which we understood has become accessible since a recent refurbishment.

From the moment you arrive, the staff at Stena are warm and welcoming. Check-in is easy to navigate through. On board the crew are very friendly and attentive to your needs and requirements. Always a smooth journey.

We took the Princess & Pirate cruise with my Grandaughter last week and she was thrilled. The Great big Boat had her eyes wide as we walked up the long gangway, then so many options of stairways and corridors to choose from. We eventually found the lounge we were supposed to be in and fair dos to the entertainment, they had the kids totally in their spell for the whole trip.
The meal was a bit disappointing but a minor detail when we watched our little princess having so much fun. The onboatd shop had some great bargains and sale items. The ship was very clean and remained so despite being taken over by pirates! All in all we had a very pleasant, if somewhat noisey, smooth crossing and arrived back in Belfast a weary well entertained trio. Thankyou 😁

From arrival at port to disembark the staff and crew members all go above and beyond and made this trip good.

I think it would be useful to include simple instructions clearly marked on the boarding pass to deactivateyour car alarm as some people either forget or may not know how to do it!
