Could do better

Web site said the device was in stock and would be sent within 24 Hrs.
When I didn't receive an email in the first 24 Hrs I contacted Stoneaudio to find out the device wasn't in stock but it was ordered and I'd receive it a week later.
As promised I received the device a week later.

At last good old fashioned customer service.....

Ordered a Sony 24" LED TV and it was delivered exactly when promised. Unfortunately I had had a very bad experience with a major UK retailer (JLP) earlier in the week regarding horrendous delivery situation (HDNL took 3 days to deliver anniversary flowers which were dead by the time they arrived) so was very nervous purchasing from a retailer with whom I had never dealt with.
The customer service was superb, kept informed of the status of my purchase and everyone of my many emails was answered promptly.
At last good old fashioned customer service where the customer is important.

IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO PLEASE EVERYBODY!

This company has provided and maintained a veritable plethora of high end equipment for me since I came to the conclusion that Bang & Olufsen were becoming too expensive for the quality of their products. The only occasion when I have been compelled to source goods elsewhere was when they could not source an Orb turntable and supporting peripherals for me. I have recommended this organisation to friends and clients and I have always received positive feedback. Perhaps the detractors should stay with the bargain basement or increase the spend on better equipment which Stone will supply.

The perfect Hifi store.

I am not sure where these lower reviewers are coming from! I have used Stone Audio for mail order on many occasions and they have been A1. Quick service, promises always kept, easy site to use especially with the online help. I then needed to make a bigger purchase and decided to go to the store, all I can say is wow! The staff were so knowledgable, polite and helpfull. All I can say is if you have not been there then you really should pop in, I promise you wil be amazed I have NEVER seen a shop like it.

Best Hi-Fi shop I've ever been in!

stoneaudio's showroom has to be seen to be believed. This company has clearly delivered a concept very different to the rest of the industry. Best of luck to them. They are clearly ahead of the game!

NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEM.

Ordered pair of tannoy speakers from them,there was a small delay but this was down to tannoy,arrived and delivered same day as i am not to far from there showroom.very helpful from start to finish,as for the showroom,it was the best hifi shop i have ever seen,massive open plan with seperate rooms for demo.

It was very upseting when i read the reviews on S/A

I ordered the new sony cybershot dsc -hx100v from stone audio and paid for it in april 2011. I was told it would not be delivered until the middle of may .Sony have had problems in manufacture since the sunami . All the other companies where experiencing the same problem.I kept in regular touch with stone audio and eventually recieved it at the end of June. At a very good price. It is a super camera and worth the wait all things considered

Avoid

Website said my Grado replacement ear pads were in stock, so I ordered. After a couple of weeks nothing had turned up. After a few emails, I was told they were awaiting delivery from the warehouse.
A few weeks later I asked if they had been received; they said yes and i'd get them in the next 3 days. They didn't turn up, so I emailed again and was told they had not been sent from the warehouse and that they had no idea when they might be delivered.
At this point I gave up and asked for a refund - which I actually got!

Avoid this company - they seem to have no idea what they are doing.

WARNING! Do NOT shop with Stone age Audio, please!!

I agree with the other comments, this has to have been the worst experience hi-fi shopping i've ever had!
I purchased an NAD VISO 2 unit around £900 over two years ago from them, it took a good while to arrive due to stock issues, about 3 months. It worked fine for just under a year then developed a few faults which made the system un opperable. I contacted them and sent it off, all seemed okay. Got it back three months later - still boken! So i sent it back again, six more months - it came back broken again!! Sent it off a third and yes it was returned another six months later - broken.

Not only were my e mails not ignored but my calls were not answered or returned. I was avoided and told i must have damaged the device. I treatened them with court action but it was looking like to much hard work and it had taken over a year to get no where already.

The staff just couldn't be bothered with any aftersales care or my faulty unit.

I ended up dealing with NAD directly and they told me the dates they had received and dispatched my unit. It was disgusting, most of the time i'd been without my device it had just been sitting there at stone audio stuck in some corner, ignored.

Fortunatly, NAD at amour house, were brilliant and most helpful. They replaced most of the major parts and returned it promtly. It works fine now and only took a month!!

They're happy to sell you stuff but if there's a problem it's your problem.

Please please don't shop at StoneAudio, there not worth it. Go else where, where they give a dam.

Absolutely appalling customer service

I ordered a tonearm as a Christmas present for my husband on 11/12/10. As discussed in previous ratings, it isn't until you order that you discover that it might not actually be in stock. Despite numerous emails (they never answered 1 email) and telephone conversations - the last being just over a week ago - when I was told that the replacement item had been dispatched (yeah right) I still have nothing for my payment of £127.95. Would not touch them with a barge pole - stay away! Court proceedings here we come!

Ordered monday, email same morning saying it was out of stock till thursday, asking if I wanted to proceed. Dispached thursday, arrived Saturday. Great shop, and the cheapest!

VERY poor service

I paid for next day delivery, took the day off work and then the product did not arrive until 2 days later! Contacted the telesales department and a girl said they would refund the P&P. I waited and checked my statement but nothing. After complaining 3 times the MD contacted me and informed me there would be no refund and it was out of his hands, the P&P is what they are charged. So after phoning, e-mailing and waiting I was left with a very bad impression of this joke of a company with the worst customer services department ever. Stick to Amazon / Play, avoid at all costs.

Decent Service

I purchased a portable DVD player with stoneaudio on 9th August 2010, as i found the company to be about £30 cheaper for the product. Main compaint is that your are informed via the website that your product is in stock, then once you have ordered it, you are informed via Email that it is not. (However i was given the choice of weather i wanted the order to proceed, or to cancel).
However i was told that my item would be in stock in on 25th August, on the 26th August i received an Email to say it had been dispatched and one day later i received my product in perfect condition.
I would use this company again.

Non-genuine item recieved and they weren't interested in exchanging it for genuine item

They sent me a non-genuine item and when I called to exchange it for the genuine one as shown on their website, they just denied it was non-genuine, they were not at all interested in exchanging it and dragged the situation out. I had to resort to threatening them with court action and only then was the situation resolved with a refund. Awful company!!

Awful

I ordered some speaker brackets from Stone Audio and they sent me the wrong type. This wasn't necessarily such a big issue as mistakes do happen but it was the following events that were quite despicable. Not only did I have to wait 2 weeks for the correct pair of speaker brackets but the communication from the company is non-existent. I actually lost count the amount of times I had to call and email them and when I did they just lied to me. I'm still waiting on a refund for postage I had to pay for to get the wrong brackets back to them so they could send the correct ones out. It's now over 4 weeks and I'm still waiting. If you're thinking of using this company I strongly suggest you go elsewhere as their customer service is horrific. I never leave reviews but on this occasion I felt it was absolutely necessary to warn other people of Stone Audio.
