Disgusting post installation care!

Had a conservatory installed in August 2019 and then returned for a bi-fold door. Had no issues with the bi-fold door, however have had continuous and reoccurring issues with the conservatory. Cracks appearing, floor moving, French doors constantly dropping (making them difficult to lock), mold (despite keeping the one small window installed, permanently open for ventilation) the outside steps are falling apart and dangerous ('repaired' numerous times by self described 'odd job' people sent by stormclad) and the gravel border that was meant to be installed around the outside never materialised. I have called numerous time this year to request that a proper inspection to be carried out and the issues permanently resolved, to be told I would recieve a call back which never happens. I have sent photos and messages via their online post installation and heard nothing back.

I am now at the point of researching how to take things further because it seems that Stormclad will go above and beyond when selling you a £24k conservatory (guaranteed for 10years!), but when it comes to sorting out issues they're not interested.

Disgusting customer care. If I could go back and not use them for my conservatory, I would. Avoid at all costs, unless you're happy to be dropped when things aren't upto standard! I would give a zero rating but can't.

We have an on going problem with…

We have an on going problem with stormclad, it’s been going on now for over a year, the conservatory was parting company from the house last April, and they finally agreed to rebuild it, now when I say rebuild, they used all same materials, left it without a roof on to which it poured down with rain all night and woke up to a swimming pool in the morning, so all the floor was ruined, and since having the same frame work put back together it’s done nothing but leak, and all they seem to do is put silicone over the leak, every time I call they promise to call back and don’t, I’m having to chase them all the time, we are now on the forth or fifth manager since we started in just over a year, so somethings wrong somehow,

So much for looking into it Mark, heard nothing from you at all, constantly ringing and no one returning my calls,

Great service again

Having previously used Stormclad to install doors for us, we had no hesitation in using them again when we required some new windows. We received the same first class service as on previous occasions. From the initial consultation with Sally, subsequent interaction with Allison, to the fitting by Wayne the process was very smooth. Wayne arrived to carry out the fitting at a time which was convenient for us, and worked tirelessly to complete the installation. He was very pleasant, respectful of our home and very neat in his work. We could not have asked for more!
Would thoroughly recommend Stormclad.

Happy customer

We had new front and back doors from Stormclad and were really impressed.
The job went smoothly, the fitters turned up on time and worked really hard to get the job done.
The products are good quality and were reasonably priced.
Thanks Stormclad, we will definitely recommend.

Brilliant Service!

Would recommend Stormclad to anyone. We had windows and doors for our new house and we love them. The journey started with Sally, she was great. Very knowledgeable, straight to the point and none of the usual salesperson waffle you get with some companies.
Price was within our budget.
The quality of the products are great. The fitting team, Chris and Tommy were very good, they didn’t stop, tidied up well after themselves and were very respectful of our home.
The office staff were also very polite and efficient.
We will definitely be back in the future for any further home improvements that we decide to do.

Highly recommend this company!

We went to the Wheatcrofts showroom to browse the conservatory’s to start with, the lady was very friendly and knowledgeable, she answered our questions and then booked us an appointment for someone to come over.
Neil came out and went through everything with us and did the design on his laptop so we could get a feel for what the end result would look like, he was polite,knowledgeable and not one bit pushy.
The price was slightly more than other quotes we had received,however the quality of the finished product certainly reflects this.
The staff in the office are extremely helpful and efficient.
The 2 guys who came to fit our conservatory were extremely hard working, they never stopped, they were polite and helpful and cleared up after themselves every day.
We had one slight problem with a window opening after completion, we rang the office and the engineer was booked for the same week. Tony came out and sorted it straight away for us.
We are so happy with our finished conservatory,it is the completing piece of the jigsaw in our forever home.
Thank you Stormclad, we will certainly be recommending you to others!

Well Done…

To be honest everything went really well.
The two lads turned up and both were cheerful and well turned out. They got on with the job with no hanging about and worked well from start to finish.
When the construction was finished the area was cleared and we were shown the finished product which looks really good.
Also before I forget the good experience began when the lady called to show us the product. She was friendly and knew her stuff without being pushy.
If I was ever asked who did the work for us we would highly recommend Stormclad.

AVOID THIS COMPANY, DO NOT USE!!
Please if you want work completing and done right avoid this company! I have been waiting for Stormclad to complete our front door before I wrote a review, but as it seems this is never ending I give up and here is my review.
We had our door installed Nov 2022, the initial guy that came did nothing but bad mouth the company saying how useless they all were and how many mess ups they make on jobs. He fitted the door (poorly), wobbled when it was opened and closed, ripped my internet cable out and barely got an apology, we had to pay £100 to have that fixed. We had removed what cables near the door we had been requested to and was told that one was fine. He took the door out so rough that he ruined our coving in the porch taking chunks out the wall which he just filled with some sort of grey filler on a white wall and just left so we have the cost of having that area redone also and having to find someone to match the coving up or replace it. The door was supposed to have a top panel of glass with the number in and also two side panels, these were both wrong. Should have been frosted glass with a boarder sandblasted out and the top light frosted with our house number sand blasted out. They were just clear glass which didn’t match the glass in the door. The guy used brown silicone on a black door and poorly filled holes with brown silicone where he had taken chunks out of the wall inside the house! Looked an absolute mess! And meant we wouldn’t of even been able to paint over to cover it as it was silicone. All had to be taken out later down the line. I pointed out the silicone was brown and he just said oh sorry I thought it was black. He said he would come back and re do it, never saw him again which I’m grateful for in the end! Now to the absolute mess that’s just continued on for the next 7 months! I’ve been constantly chasing to have the door sorted, originally I was told I couldn’t have the top glass as I ordered as the company they get the glass from do not do it, even though one of their top pictures for review work carried out on their website shows the exact design I had asked for, I argued this and so eventually I got a yes they will do that. Numerous cancellations of installation dates as either the glass came made wrong, or had been smashed on delivery to the warehouse. I constantly had to chase them, rarely receiving a call back when promised unless I called and basically has to cause a big fuss! 7 months down the line, today in fact, finally they are coming with all the other bits of glass that needed replacing, the fitter comes and installs it and you would not believe it!!!! ITS STILL WRONG!!!!! This glass has been made 5 times now and they STILL can’t get it right!!! The door fitted by the original guy wasn’t even secured properly so that’s why it wobbled so much and he hadn’t aligned it straight so the door wouldn’t sit flush to the surrounding unit. I have spoken with the office and asked for compensation to which I was offered £100! Absolute joke and the company is a joke! I give up now it’s clear they are that incompetent they can’t even get your order right so please do not waste your time! They are cheaper than other people on the market and there is a big reason why!!! I had read negative reviews before placing our order and stupidly made the mistake of risking it and what a mistake that was. Pay extra and go somewhere else. My door is still not complete 7 months down the line and seems it never will be!
I will say Chris their fitter who has been out twice now since the useless 1st guy is absolutely brilliant! How he stays working for this company I don’t know! This so not an exaggeration, this is the absolute truth. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!!

Replacement of conservatory roof

Stormclad have just replaced the glass roof on our conservatory with a solid warm roof. The work was carried out by Steve and Adam and we cannot fault their work ethic. They were cheerful and friendly and extremely tidy and worked tirelessly to complete the roof to our satisfaction. The electrician and plasterer were equally pleasant and hardworking. Very pleased with the installation.

Poor customer support

product is fine, even though they messed up the installation but sorted it in the end. However - the aftermarket support is shocking! been trying to get 3 replacement door hinges which have broken since December 22...they still haven't done it.
Very unreliable.

excellent price,installation, and aftercare

Gave up with this company a long time…

Gave up with this company a long time ago.
Had windows and doors fitted in 2019.
Total hackjob on install - I'm pretty sure the windows are held in by silicon sealant and not much else (and one window not even that, I could see outside below the window from their install job - they left a gaping hole).
Their trick to hide the damage was to install plastic strips around the windows which eventually started to cause issues of their own (installed on top of wallpaper eventually got black mould because the windows weren't sealed properly).
2 of the windows installed cant seem to support their own weight when opened - they open outwards but close immediately.
The solidor installed has already started to discolour and the double glazing has blown.
Had various contacts with the company to report the issues but once they have your money they show very little interest in fixing problems. I eventually just gave up.
4 years in and I'm looking to replace all windows and doors again already - will not make the mistake of choosing Stormclad again and I suggest you don't either.
Came across their reviews when researching companies for replacement products as i cant get my issues resolved, thought I would share my experience.
One to avoid.

Aftercare non-existent

Aftercare non-existent, been waiting over a year for them to fix our windows, terrible terrible service. Would not recommend this company.

Had a terrible time with stormclad Rob the director was dealing with my issues , i understand he has now left the company , i have waited over 8 months for my cills to be replaced on my doors . The only time i get a call is for payment please avoid this company at all costs .

Further to a perceived problem (by myself) a gentleman called Tony has just visited and the issue was with telephone lines, not the problem I thought it was. Still Tony was extremely good natured about the mix up and dealt with the problem successfully. Rarely do you come across such helpful and professional people.

Poor Service

Apart from the first visit with the sales representative, the service of installation has gone from bad to worse. Cancelled installation dates, then not returning calls to rebook in, minor damage to property during installation. Had four windows and door installed and every installed item had an issue that required fixing from stiff door, brickwork not sealed, hole in brickwork where bricks removed to install windows, holes is rubber gasket seal and whistling windows. Takes ages for them to be fixed as they don’t return phone calls to try and fix them. Had an appointment today, that I waited 3 weeks for to fix/replace the hole in a rubber gasket, explained on the phone and sent emails of the hole and the guy who came to fix it didn’t bring one with him. He arrived 9.20, I phoned to complain at 9.25 I wasn’t happy and never received a call back.

Perfect from start to finish!

Had a kitchen window installed today,Ben and Jason did a great job. They were polite and friendly, got on with the job and cleaned up after themselves.
Sally the sales designer was great,she was knowledgeable and there was no hard sell at all.
This is our second installation with Stormclad and will definitely be back in the future

Excellent job from start to completion

Just had the 4th canopy fitted on our new house from Stormclad. Prices are very good, communication from them was excellent
The fitters came it was pouring with rain, they worked hard and made an excellent job, cleared up and left our garden spotless.

Would not recommend this company due to…

Would not recommend this company due to poor customer service. Had a solid conservatory roof fitted with reconfiguration of down pipe from the roof. Install ok but left with a wonky down pipe just above the conservatory roof as they had to squeeze it past an existing cable. We could have moved the pre-existing cable if we had known it was going to be a problem. They did the work and showed us after! Plasterer did not turn up as scheduled, we had to ring to find out why, Ian in the office said he had covid. Later found out he was on holiday! Given another date for the plasterer and he still did not arrive, again had to ring the office to ask the reason. Told he was finishing another job!. We complained robustly and within 2 hrs the crew that fitted the roof arrived and boarded out the ceiling ready for the plasterer who was to come the next day. Plasterer arrived this time and did a fantastic job. His name was Martin and did a fantastic job-perfect finish, crisp edges and absolute no mess. Whatever stormclad pay him it’s not enough.

Stormclads terrible service continues

Following my previous review on the 25 October 2022, detailing the very poor service and standard of work from Stormclad. The reply from a Stormclad 'director' was that they are sorry and would look into the problems and get back to me etc.
Well I am not at all surprised to say that 2 weeks later I have still not heard anything back. This it typical of the service that I experienced. It is all just talk from Stormclad, and no positive action.
The reply from Stormclad was just a desperate attempt to try and say something positive and to suggest to readers of the review that they care and take action. But lets be clear they do not !!!

My previous review was also posted on Facebook and I have been contacted by other very dissatisfied customers whose experience appears very similar to mine. So my experience is definitely not an isolated incident.

As I said before look elsewhere.
