I am extremely pleased with my furniture installation. The quality of the cabinets etc is excellent.

Strachan have just finished (30.04.25) installing a Murphy bed and other fitted furniture into our small box room.

I have to say my wife and I are very impressed with the end result and everyone we have dealt with from Strachan have been very polite and accommodating.

Steve the fitter was brilliant. An excellent worker who worked from 8.00am until nearly 7.00pm! Well impressed.

Our expectations were far exceeded so much so I am considering having our other bedrooms fitted by Strachan.

Highly recommended.

Where to even start with the shambles that is Strachan? Suffice to say our project began on 21 November last year and is still unfinished six months later.

We had used Strachan several years ago to design and build a home office. All went well, if expensively, and we had no misgivings about using the company again when we moved house last autumn. Four rooms needed built-in furniture.

The initial designs were extremely disappointing and required radical changes. Rather than send the designer back to reappraise and make changes, it fell to me to redesign the units in lengthy phone calls, requiring hours of my time and energies. This meant endless delays with revisions to CAD drawings going back and forth. Installation was originally scheduled for January but didn't take place until the middle of March.

Our entire house was filled with packs of furniture, delivered and installed in the order that suited Strachan, not us their customers.

The final straw was the fitting of new internals ro an existing wardrobe. The brief was simple: to replicate the design in our master bedroom. Instead an ill-fitting botched construction was installed which used up a great deal of storage space unnecessarily. We were told this would be corrected on 17th April and I spent a full day emptying the wardrobe of its contents and finding other spaces to store them. Strachan then announced that new CAD drawings were being prepared and a new unit would be built. Cue the reinstallation of all my clothes etc, another wasted 3 hours.

And that is the story so far. I still dont have a finished wardrobe and have no idea when I will. Strachan have had some £60,000 of our money and have never once apologised for their incompetence and inefficiency. One can only assume that a fiasco of this order is commonplace. Avoid at all costs.

Absolutely brilliant! I can't recommend the company highly enough, everyone we came into contact with throughout the process of refurbishing our bedroom was professional, very helpful and extremely competent. Next time we need a room refreshing we'll certainly use Strachan.

Strachan has been our "go to" Company for all our refurbishment projects for 9 years. I only wish they also did kitchens!
They have created for us a new library, a large dressing room, a complete bedroom refit, and new wardrobes and drawers etc. for 3 other bedrooms.
All have been completed exactly to our requirements, and they have been happy to come up with solutions for anything unusual. Everything is bespoke and therefore fits perfectly. They can copy any colour that you can give them a sample for. The basic units are made in their factory, but it is a skilled carpenter who comes to fit and finish the job.
They have always been very easy to work with from the initial consultant, and the project managers, through to the surveyor, the delivery guys, and the carpenter. Our thanks go to Colin, Katy, everyone who has been involved in our projects, and especially to Steve for building us yet more beautiful wardrobes!

I had 2 quotes for my office refurb at home. I chose Strachan as they were quick to respond, professional and not pushy. They kept me informed every step of the way of dates for fitting etc. The fitter arrived on time each day for the 2 day installation. He was very courteous, tidy and respectful. He did a fantastic job and I love my new office environment. I would definitely use Strachan again as they were brilliant.

We had a walk-in dressing room fitted out for our teenage daughter. Strachan were excellent from start to finish. The design was easier to visualise when compared to two other competitors we also sought quotes from - the 3D computer model shown on the day of the initial visit was very vaulable (esp to a teenage girl, who is used to looking at things on a screen, and not paper). The finalisation of the design was smooth. Fitting happened on the days when they said it would happen, and was undertaken by a proper craftsman who could actually use his tools to ensure a bespoke finish. Overall, very happy indeed.

The end install and product was close to perfect. in and old house with nothing square it was made to look perfect. Both of the installer took time and care with our home and the work done

Louise and the team have shown great patience in dealing with our project. We then had a brilliant installer, Dimitry, who tackled an unexpected issue with the old furniture with great skill.

Strachan fitted our furniture this week and we would like to mention the fitter Giovanni who worked so hard and efficiently with an excellent result.
We are delighted as it is everything we expected.

The service from start to finish was excellent from the initial survey to the fitting of the furniture. All representatives were polite and courteous.

The fitter (Lawrence Strong) came on time and worked non stop to complete the installation within the timescale allocated. He tidied up each day before he left too. He was very polite and listened to any requests etc. We were delighted with the end product and we are now using the room as a study/computer room and occasional spare bedroom! We would certainly use Strachan again and would reccomend the company to friends/relatives.

I cannot praise Strachan highly enough.
Their designer was friendly, knowledgeable and very adept at coming up with a design that would work. When I had some problems with the main payment, Customer Service bent over backwards to help and be accommodating. The joiner who fitted the units turned up on time, and did an outstanding job - he also left the place spotless.
I honestly could not be happier, and would heartily recommend Strachan for their high quality work.

We have previously used Strachen to install 2 bedrooms, so when we wanted a media wall for our living room we looked no further than one of our favourite companies.
The designer Simon helped us with our vision for what we wanted and before we knew it Johnathan the fitter was installing our dream living room. Johnathan’s attention to detail and skill level is exceptional and never disappoints with the final installation.
I can highly recommend Strachen and wouldn’t use anybody else for high end furniture and quality installation.

The service was excellent. The team was proactive throughout and delivered on time and as promised. The furniture itself is great and the we appreciated the experience of the team in helping us plan the design.

Timely appointment - understood my requirements - shown many samples - offered advice - price not cheap but good quality and main competitor couldn't provide solution for my little office. Fitter very professional, arrived on time, no problems and very pleased with end result. Would highly recommend.

We had a designer visit today, and I regret spending my time. We discussed the requirements, and I was expecting a 3D design after. Instead, the designer used a pen and paper, put a very basic outline and wrote a price on it. The price was double in comparison to any other quotes I had. When I challenged the number, I was told that I am comparing Ferrari to a Volkswagen and none of the (famous) brands I am referring to stand anywhere near in terms of the quality, the others are not following the same standards, etc. I understand the business is tough these days, but you don’t have to badmouth others. The quality of your furniture is good, we had it in the other house. But for me it’s not twice as good as others. In the end if the day, it’s just a painted wardrobe. Plus, I don’t have an option to change my mind as I have no design!
