It’s fab.

Wild that this club doesn’t have a higher rating. The courts are great, the staff are friendly and welcoming, coaches are great. A lot of people play here because you’re more likely to get a match with people of your level because the rating system is great, even though no rating system is absolutely perfect. It’s hard to get games and activities sometimes but that’s because people love the club for all the right reasons! You just have to keep checking the app for new posts and the WhatsApp groups have people posting cancellations all the time. The train and plays and lessons are fab, they have women only training and socials as well. You’ll find people from beginner level all the way up to highly competitive. Can’t recommend this club enough. Absolutely deserves a 5 star trust pilot score.

Weird mindset, favoritism and unfair

I first started padel at this club in 23'. As a beginner then, the club has a great sense of community with amazing people from different walks of life. If you're looking to network I'd say this is the place to do it - I've even made a few good friends from when we play matches at SPC however the club has more than a few flaws. Coaches at SPC are qualified but practices favoritism. Nothing is ever on neutral ground but based on who you are and essentially how much you spend.

1. Matches and training sessions are tremendously hard to book - when raised the only advice received from staff was "you'll have to book it in advance like everyone else" and we're not talking a day or 2 but rather weeks in advance or you'd hear "we hear you but ..." a year later still here.

2. Players are graded on a very weird and inconsistent matrix so a match played of your level may not be played consistently of people are of those level even when the booking only allows people of similar ranking to be played with. Their rating system makes ZERO sense and it's almost a miss every single time if you were to play with people you've not played with before. This includes training sessions.
3. ZERO processes followed in terms of ranking and submission for example I've seen people upgraded from a train to play when according to SPC's own process you'd need 2 coaches agreement. And this happens at least once a month.

In summary, if you're looking to make friends, network SPC is great. Not all the staff are horrible - I'm friends with some of them BUT the rating matrix is an absolute joke and a s**t show and if you're looking to play padel and are quite competitve please look to play someplace else that actually values you and is worth your time and money

One year in and still hooked!

I joined Stratford Padel Club in August last year, and almost a year on, I couldn’t be happier with my experience.

The coaching has been excellent—from the Orange Academy, which helped me learn court positioning, to Train & Play sessions with a variety of fantastic coaches, and private lessons with the owner, Javi. Everyone brings their own style and knowledge, and it’s made a real difference in my game.

What truly sets the club apart, though, is the social atmosphere. It’s such a friendly, inclusive place where you can meet people, improve your skills, and play 7 days a week. There’s a real sense of community, and it’s welcoming to all levels of players.

I also want to address a recent negative review I saw, which I feel is unfair. From day one, the club is very clear about its 24-hour cancellation policy—it only applies if you don’t give notice and can’t fill your slot. That’s more than reasonable and helps keep things fair for everyone. To suggest otherwise really doesn’t reflect the culture here. The staff work incredibly hard, are always respectful, and go out of their way to support players.

This club deserves recognition, not criticism. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy padel in a positive, respectful, and well-run environment.

Weird mindset

The staff seems nice, but they charged me a penalty after not showing up having an injury. I used the app the day before, looked for a replacement in the group, (which notifies everyone). Being a morning slot I guess its harder to find a replacement. Nobody took it, so they charged me £50, as I didn't also text the staff separately, which I was forcefully told I should have known? It is hidden somewhere in the Whatsapp group. I was also told I should have known I couldn't play with an injury before the day I asked for a replacement.

Asked the staff when I joined what the process was when you couldn't show up, and whether there were penalties. They told me there was no penalties and that they always find a replacement or one of the staff would fill in...
