Stratstone - MINI Derby Reviews 

My Mini Countryman was served yesterday. From arrival to departure I couldn’t have been deal with better. Rebecca kept me informed of progress every step of the way and the service was completed on time. Excellent service all round.

Excellent service as always. Very reasonable prices and car returned cleaned and valeted. Every member of staff has a very professional, respectful and friendly approach. One member of staff (Tom) went the extra mile in helping me access an important online work meeting whilst I was waiting for my car. The high quality of customer service is the reason I have been buying my cars and returning for services etc for years, despite living in another town.

Service and MOT completed successfully.

My experience with Stratstones was very good being kept up to date with the many revised delivery dates along the way.I was perhaps a little surprise at the frequent staff changes during my wait for the car to be delivered.

Couldn’t have had a better experience at Mini Derby. Grace was so helpful in advising and helping me through the process and I’m so happy with my new car! Would recommend time and time again

I arrived on spec on a Sunday morning to look at a used Mercedes C class 220d and was introduced to Tia Stephenson . I was warmly welcomed and offered a coffee within the first few minutes. I explained what I had come to view, she proved to be an excellent sales specialist answering all my questions with ease, I had a test drive and was presented a deal when I got back, we went through all my purchasing options and the aftermarket products, I was happy with the car and the price to change and it's now on my drive, I have spent 17 years in sales myself in the motor cycle trade and Tia was truly professional at her job. Well done and thank you.

I was kept informed about the progress of the service on my Mini and received video and photographs explaining the repairs that were needed. I was very impressed with the clear explanation of what work was required now and what might be needed soon and with clear pricing I was able to decide what additional work I might have done now along with what needed to be done straight away.

I’ve just bought my third new car this year going back to having a mini. I shopped online and from the very beginning Tia at Derby Stratstone Mini was a great help she was very friendly, helpful and quick to return my call when needed. I had the car delivered and I believe Carl was the driver was great at going though all the details and functions of my new Mini.

My long experience of new car handovers meant I had very low expectations, and Stratstone Mini met them. Even though I was expected, I was greeted on arrival by a receptionist who treated me like a homeless person walking in off the street asking to use the toilet. A message that the sales person was running late was never delivered. I was never offered refreshment, or anything else whilst waiting. I'm aware that this is a temporary situation, but the dealership itself is very unwelcoming, dark, a bit shabby and was freezing cold. No heating on that was apparent even though it was 6 degrees outside and felt the same inside – No idea how the staff manage. It was clean though. When the salesman did appear - 15 minutes after the appointment time, I was told the delay was as a result of the vehicle needing to be valeted, and even though it had been on site for several days, they didn't start the process until shortly before my arrival. They could have not bothered and saved the effort. At this time of year it would have been dirty 50 meters after leaving the site. Actual paperwork and handover of the vehicle (when it was eventually ready) was fine. All that needed to be done was done, and I have no complaints about the vehicle or set-up, which on an hours acquaintance is excellent. The Salesman was pleasant and did his best to lighten the mood, but a combination of the freezing temperatures inside and out, the waiting with no explanation and lack of hospitality definitely soured the experience. Some form of flowers (or indeed anything at all) as a welcome gift for my wife would have been nice, but hey ho. I spent £90k on a Bentley last year and had a similar experience. On the plus side, at no time did anyone blame COVID for the lack of service, which was a refreshing change.
