I took my Mercedes EQS in for a service and also reported two additional issues: the damaged driver-side wing mirror needed replacing, and the driver’s window kept dropping after the car was locked.
I was charged £180 in relation to the wing mirror. I initially understood this to be payment towards the replacement mirror, only to discover later that the £180 was simply a diagnostic charge for inspecting and dismantling it to establish what was wrong. The casing was visibly smashed, so it was already fairly obvious that the mirror required replacement. This charge was not clearly explained to me beforehand.
After the car had been in the garage for four days, it was returned with the window fault still present. It had also developed a new rattle inside the driver’s door, and the satellite navigation system was no longer working properly.
I therefore had to take the car back again. They did eventually repair the window fault, but the satellite navigation issue remains unresolved. To make matters worse, I later found a loose cover plate sitting in the driver’s footwell, apparently left over after the work had been carried out.
Overall, the standard of workmanship and quality control leaves a great deal to be desired. A premium vehicle should not be returned with the original fault unresolved, additional problems introduced and loose parts left inside the car.
The whole experience has been frustrating, inconvenient and well below the standard I would expect from an authorised Mercedes-Benz service centre.

I dropped the car on 20 July for service and MOT on the same day. Then the service report said I need to replace the front suspension so that to pass the MOT and I agreed with it. Upon I collected the car on 21 July, I found that the MOT was failed on 21 July because they performed the MOT before the service and suspension being fixed. Though the MOT was finally pass on 21 July, I got a failed MOT record and the MOT expiry date had changed to 20 July 2027 (originally 25 July 2027 if no MOT failed) which were both avoidable. If service was performed and suspension was fixed before the MOT, the MOT should get a straight Pass without the problems mentioned.
The service consultant and manager were great and very helpful, they had tried their best to explain and make it up. However, it is the system and process that doesn’t make sense to let the MOT fail first and then do the service/fix to get the MOT pass. It is clear that these work processes are not built from the customer perspective rather than the ease of jobs arrangement for the workshop. Despite their service personnels are great, I am disappointed with the way that the services they provide are not customer oriented which do not match the premium you pay for and the renowned Mercedes’ service standard.

Dear Service Manager,
I am writing to express my severe dissatisfaction regarding my recent vehicle service at Mercedes-Benz of Glasgow on 15 July 2026 (Invoice #528963).
I brought my car in for repairs concerning the USB port and several warning lights. However, only two days after picking up the vehicle, I attempted to refuel on 17 July 2026 and discovered that the fuel filler flap will not open. This has caused me significant inconvenience and frustration, as I am now unable to refuel my car.
It is unacceptable that a vehicle serviced by an authorized dealer should develop such a fundamental issue immediately after a service visit. I believe this malfunction is a direct result of the recent work performed on my vehicle.
I request that you address this issue as a matter of urgency. Please let me know how you intend to rectify this problem immediately, and how you will ensure that my car is restored to full working order without any further delay or inconvenience to me.
I look forward to your prompt response.

Poor customer service. Self-focused, unable to resolve issues attributable to Mercedes which I can evidence. Failure to respond to customer questions. I have no trust in their customer service. If I could score a zero, I would

O star would be more appropriate; bought a Mercedes-approved car that was fitted with the cheapest possible tyres. It seems Mercedes isn't adhering to the used car standards.
In addition, the alignment was out so much it's obvious the car was never road-tested.
Think carefully when a Mercedes used car, although the salesperson was friendly the approved used program is a joke.
UPDATE: after getting a response and being asked to email their customer service - zero response.
That either says they are so bad that they are overwhelmed with complaints (likely) or worse they just don't care (even more likely)
So my 0 star remains and is well deserved, avoid them and the Mercedes approved used car scheme.
