My Mito was in for service at Aylestone Road on 11th July. Damage was done to the lacquer on the bonnet by the valeters which I noticed a few days later when I came to drive the vehicle again and emailed a photo of the damage. I had a collection on 11th July and photos were taken at that time and one of your service advisors has twice agreed that the damage was not there when the vehicle was collected. This needs rectifying asap yet no one will sort this out. No one contacts me. No one will take responsibility. I have had one call back from a message I left otherwise I am being ignored. I have been told it was with the external valeting team to investigate but I shouldn't be having to wait for the results of this, my service contract is with Sturgess and I would expect an apology and resolution of the problem. Then after chasing again I was told it was with the Service Manager to liaise with the body shop but he's not got back to me either. Today I called again and left a message (with a human) for the Service Manager or someone who can sort this out to call me today. Nothing. As someone who is disabled I need to plan when I won't have a vehicle. While I have been told I will get a courtesy car (if it ever gets sorted out!) I would prefer not to drive a strange car and am trying to help by not having a courtesy car which would surely make it easier for Sturgess to arrange the work! But no one will talk to me to arrange anything. It's absolutely shocking customer service. I asked for a quote for other work to be carried out as well prior to finding this damage but that hasn't been forthcoming either even after a reminder. Needless to say that work will be carried out elsewhere! In the meantime my bonnet needs a respray. I have given plenty of time for this to be arranged but after being ignored and having to constantly chase I am losing what little patience I had left! 50% of reviews on here have given one star and here's another to add to that! Edit 1/8 received a call to say it is with the body shop to arrange when they can do the work. Call came around 10.45am but didn't hear anymore so still waiting.

Shocking Customer Service and after care!!! I would avoid this dealership at all costs. sturgess are more than happy to take your cash however, their Customer Service/after care is absolutely disgusting. Calls are never answered or returned and when they are answered the staff are dismissive, rude and lie. No success with the Manager either. I will never purchase a vehicle from this dealership or visit Sturgess Aylestone Road again!! Or purchase a Fiat ever again either.

I have recently purchased a motobility car and had a great experience. Kiril, kept me informed throughout the process and even received the car 5 months earlier!
I would definitely recommend Sturgess of Leicester.

Now where to start. Let's go back to last Dec. my i10 developed a front end rattle which came on suddenly. Two local garages consulted first, 1st said it was the alternator but later said they could not get one, 2nd garage said it was the water pump, changed that, rattle still there. Got labour charge back as they said pump WAS faulty, no way to disprove that. Contacted Sturgess next as main Hyundai dealer in Leicester. Problems start here, could not get anyone to ring me back to discuss problem, had to make a complaint before any contact. Lack of communication is one of their problems. Took car in early Dec., phoned next day to say it was the air con compressor, would have to be ordered, took 2 days, next whilst fitting that was told condenser was damaged, had to order that, another 2 days. On general check after fitting was told one of the brake pads was stuck in caliper. Left that as not urgent. Later after picking car up and a few days passed noticed one of the LCD drls was not working. got them to look at that after they ordered one, over £300 for the light fitting. Took it in and as they had to remove front bumper to fit air con parts I asked them to check the wiring. Turned out a connector had not been put back in place!
Next as hotter weather came noticed air con not putting out any cold air, booked it again and asked then to sort out rear brake problem, needed new discs as well as rusted up with some corrosion, fair enough. In for that work, Another connector to to compressor had not been connected. Was informed that ABS sensor was faulty. Whilst this and brake things were dealt with the ABS sensor part was only part delivered. Booked in again to have that fixed while I waited. That took over 2 hours, fair enough but saw the technician bring the car round and park it up, waited a bit then went to service reception to ask if it was ready, if I had not done this I may have been sitting a lot longer. The service lady tried to print off an invoice, printer jammed, could not get it working, emailed it to me. Got home no email. I emailed her at Sturgess, no reply, rang up, no answer at service desk, receptionist took a message said she would email her. This morning I phoned early, again receptionist said she would pass message on, by mid afternoon I still had not had any reply, phoned again and said if I did not hear by the end of today I would put a complaint in, she said they were very busy which I appreciated but said it was not good enough. That soon got a call back from service agent, said she would email it again, sounded a bit curt with me. Email finally arrived.
A lot of their problems are poor communication, they say they will phone back and don't, as happened more than once last Dec. All this lot cost me over £2,000, I know it is main dealer prices and the brake problems did need doing but bad communication and poor workmanship at times lets them down. please do not give the usual glib reply as you do to other bad reviews, you should be trying to address the problems that customers complain about.

My Vehicle under warranty, but ask to pay diagnostics charge £70 even though they are not sure whether the warranty will be accepted, Sturgess Leicester is no longer customer friendly place to take a vehicle without £ signs as soon as you walk in to their outfit.
The good news is I can take my custom elsewhere.

I visited Sturgess without an appointment as I just wanted to look at the Hyundai Bayon. I was greeted warmly and was immediately introduced to a sales person and offered a drink. A great start. Unfortuneately the Bayon demonstrator had been damaged on a test drive and was being repaired so I was taken to the workshop to view the car. I was then introduced to the Hyundai Kona which i really liked the look of. I was offered a test drive and was really impressed when I was handed the keys and told it was mine to drive for an hour or so. To cut a long story short I ended up leaving Sturgees having paid a deposit on a used top of the range Kona which was in stock and I have now taken posession of. All the staff I met were friendly and helpful and The sales representative, Niranga, was never in any way pushy and allowed me all the time I needed, showing me all the choices available to me. I will be returning later in the year with my wife, to replace her ageing Fiat 500. Well done Sturgess!

Dear potential customer,
Draw your own conclusions. Target or valued customer?
What you can read below is Leicester Sturgess' justification for attempting to charge over £285 for what was 1/2 an hour's work.
By the way, it had done 4228 miles in the 7 months since being serviced by Sturgess. According to MOT data this is average mileage for 7 months (7200m/year).
Sturgess Hyundai Leicester.
I agreed to paying over £140 pounds (1 hour charge) to diagnose binding rear breaks (if it wouldn't be covered under warranty) but I assumed this would include up to the first hour of work. It takes about 5 minutes to remove the wheels and see that the breaks needed cleaning and greasing. This then leaving them 55 minutes to put it right. I thought it may be covered under warranty as it is within the 5 years guarantee and it was serviced by Stursgess. But oh no £140 for the 5 minutes diagnostics plus an additional hour £140 to clean and grease the breaks over £280 to service rear breaks. So I paid the £140+ to diagnose and walked away.
I contacted Sturgess using their complaints procedure
"Thank you for your enquiry.
We’re delighted that you’ve contacted us about our products and services, and a member of our friendly team will be in touch about your enquiry shortly..."
Well 20 days later, still no response.
So Sturgess failed to give reasonable value.
Sturgess failed to abide by their own complaints procedure.
Sturgess failed to give any good will having purchased the car from them, had the car serviced and MOT by them.
Just so that you are aware the job was done in 1/2 an hour for £36 including diagnosis and all the work by another garage. As opposed to over £280!
To say I am disappointed with Sturgess doesn't cover it.

Purchased a £30K, 3 year old car from Sturgess in April. Despite it being described as 'perfect', there was damage and issues which needed sorting. Having made his sale, after delivery the salesperson simply wanted to palm me off. Attempts to communicate with senior management fell on deaf ears.
I've had much better experiences with the major car supermarkets and every main dealer, whether purchasing new or used, so it's safe to say I won't be back and wouldn't recommend anyone else uses Sturgess either.

RUDE MANAGERS and four month wait!! My daughter received awful service waiting over four months to get her car back after they miss-diagnosed the problem first of all then after months of wait on a part with no communication from the team.
The part was ordered wrong by sturgess Moro group along with very poor and rude service from the misogynist management team
AVOID AT ALL COSTS…KEPT MY CAR FOR FOUR MONTHS
To cut a long story short these are the key events that followed me trusting them to fix my car (November 2022 - February 2023):
-Nov They claimed to not be able to find a fault even with me asking them to look again and sending on AA teams results which had brought up a number of issues (still charging me £135 diagnostic charge)
-was implied I was lying as they couldn’t find an issue (I actually doubt they even checked)
-Caused me to have a very lucky near miss accident after being given back an unsafe car (which cut out all power in the middle of a dual carriageway cross roads) -I had to call the AA out for a second time at my expense
-Car was then checked again and all the results under the sun came up with a large bill attached
-I asked for the main issue to be looked at and the window wipers only
-after this was spoken about I then didn’t hear from them without me chasing for weeks on end. Always being promised a call back but never receiving one.
-at this point I filed a complaint with fiat head office aswell as the branch themselves
-I was told there were not courtesy cars available as each week went past more costs for my travel to work were occurred
- I managed to speak to the service manager who spoke to me in a very patronising way…asking if I knew that there was a cost of living crisis going on. And this was the reason for my wait. I explained that I was full aware and that in fact at this point I was more upset I wasn’t being kept up to date as each week rolled past and I was wasting my time chasing. He then promised to keep me up to date and call me every day (this didn’t happen in fact I never heard from Him again)
-more weeks past by with no communication on their end and still no car (it was now January)
- by this stage it was getting very frustrating I raised further complaints and was finally passed onto to the general manager plus the customer service manager.
-the customer service managers tone of emails made it sound as though I was in the wrong for complaining or even asking why it was taking so long to get my part and fix my car
-by this stage if spent so much on travel and was having to say no to seeing friends and family due to not having a car
-a phone call with the general manager ended up with me in tears after being spoken to in the worst manner and of all those I’d spoken to at the company. He actually ended up putting the phone down on me after not being able to answer why I’ve been treated in such a way and why he was suddenly claiming that they had no courtesy cars at all even though the service manager had told me they had 15.
-following this I kept in contact with the customer service manager via email and was waiting for a call from the team when I received an email to say there service team member dealing with my case had left the business but also to let me know after nearly three months of waiting the part had arrived however it wasn’t the correct part!!!
- to which I asked the customer service manager to confirmed was it the fault of Fiat or ordered incorrectly? ..it was confirmed it was order incorrectly ..ofcourse I wasn’t shocked by this stage
-what was funny was how suddenly a car was found only at this stage for me to borrow for afew weeks
A word of warning to the wise. Avoid this garage …I would believe this garage is very close to closing down as they are clearly struggling with both staff and the services they provide
Saw bmw x5 online and rang dealership- they sent email link to me with a walk round video of the vehicle
and answered all questions I'd asked about the car. Popped down to view the car that afternoon, had a very professional salesman ( Tariq quareshy) had a few issues that I wasn't happy about with the car, as I'm very fussy. We sat down and came to an arrangement to get it sorted for me. I was kept updated on the work on car. I picked the car up on Saturday 11th March, all work had been done to my satisfaction very happy with car. Big thank you to Tarqi, top guy....

This company is an absolute joke. Selfish attitude very unreliable staff and who have no idea how to do their job properly.
I bought my VW GOLF R AUGUST 2022 with 2 year warranty - 9 days later turbo has blown whilst I’m on holiday with my children and mrs. I’ve had to wait 6 hours on a A rd to be towed to the nearest hotel. No expense covered by Sturgess! After complaining I’ve been told once they get the vehicle back, they will offer a old Suzuki. Now 3 weeks later my car was repaired with new turbo - 25th September exactly 9 days of getting it back- the turbo has blown again - I called AA to have a look at it who discover that after a full report stating that after the recent service by Sturgess NO Engine oil was in there at all and had leaked from the exhaust possible reason why it’s blown again- I complained to Sturgess Leicester again and they came to collect the car as it was , in return I was given a Jeep Renegade - the least I expected was a like for like however I settled thinking it’ll be a short delay again - Sturgess have never of their own accord called me for an update unless I call and request this. 10 weeks in I’ve been advised warranty are refusing to repair and needs thorough Vw investigation, apparently they’re fully booked I had to wait two months and 11 weeks later it eventually gets checked over by VW. In response to that I get a call from AJ from Sturgess saying - ‘Sorry warranty company have rejected the repair based on the Vw report starting ‘debris is found in engine’ I will need to speak to General Manager now regarding what step to take next’. As a customer I have been very patient this is not based on any fault of my own so why should I be suffering. I have been given no explanation given by Sturgess or any proof shown regarding reports and I have by now requested twice the full report from VW and the communication from the Warranty company to Sturgess to confirm all this as I feel I’m not getting the full picture and something isn’t right - I don’t believe Sturgess are customer focused and want the best outcome - for them its more about how to save their own back. They don’t usually deal with performance cars and something that will cost them more money over two years isn’t worth it. They are not willing to continue to fix it. Due to this I’ve had a call today stating ‘ Sturgess wants to buy my car back and put me back in the same financial position I was in, with NO compensation no other alternative route for me having this car repaired at all especially if I refuse to sell it back’ this car in particular is not available in the same spec and due to this choice have missed out on the others that were available.how I see it is that a fault has been made by Sturgess repair team as they tried to keep it In house, or from their side and the Warranty company are not willing to cover the cost for repair due to this. I am refusing to accept this and will take this further - have a few friends who know some car finance lawyers and how to get a better response from companies like this. A warranty is meant to a selling feature and gives the customers security. If your thinking of buying, think again because IF the company feels that there’s no point repairing after 1 repair AND BLAMES the warranty company and pulls back from their responsibility what faith do u have buying a car from Sturgess offering A warranty such as this…

We bought a 19 plate Hyundai from this garage. They are very nice to you when they are trying to sell you a car, however, after care is not something that they are capable off. Our 3 year old car is stuck on our drive and we cannot move it. Several phone calls with promises of these calls being returned and nothing!! This has caused us nothing but stress. Very happy to take your money, but not so happy to help after the purchase date! Would never purchase from here again and would recommend everybody avoids this garage at all costs!

We had a fantastic experience when buying our car from Tariq, he is an exceptional young man who could teach some car sales people a thing or two. Very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. Knowledgeable and would certainly request Tariq if we purchased another car. 100% recommend Tariq to family and friends
