Having had issues with Sturgess in the past, I was loathe to contact them again, but have a warranty issue. Upon explaining the problem (twice, in detail) I was told to "go elsewhere" or go onto a waiting list with no idea of if or when I might be booked in, as there is no support for my issue available. Zero interest in trying to help, zero support for a loyal Land Rover customer. Will not be going back, ever. PS went straight to Sytner, who were able to book me in happy days.

Utterly useless
I tried to buy a £44k van off them in early 2022 but couldn't get them to engage so I bought elsewhere and nominated Sturgess Fiat Leicester as the servicing dealer - then I contacted them to say I'd bought a van elsewhere, asking when I should book the first service etc.
I received an auto reply, then a holding reply from a guy Sam Sharpe saying they'd get back to me. 2 days later, I sent a reminder.
Nothing
So they didnt sell the van because they couldn't be bothered
& they won't be servicing the van because they can't be bothered.
Why isn't there a ZERO star option Trustpilot?
Edit - even their trustpilot reply is hollow, empty of any value

Always a great experience with Sturgess Hyundai - Leicester 10/10
Tariq discussed all aspects of my new i20, included the finance agreement, servicing and driveaway insurance. I am extremely happy with Tariq’s product knowledge, which made it such an easy decision to go forward and purchase a new car.
Thank you as well to everyone at Sturgess Hyundai - Leicester for your help.

Had our Velar 4 years now. We bought it from Sturgess and had both services done there too. We’ve always had first class service from the team, especially Kayleigh Shaw, she is amazing!!, nothing is too much trouble for her and everything is so smooth, professional and efficient. Well done Kayleigh and thanks to you all.👍👍

Bought a Beautiful Alfa Giulietta from Sturgess. Car is Absolutely immaculate.
Michael did the deal for me over the phone because of the distance.
On the day of the collection I couldn’t have been more pleased.
I would highly recommend this Garage

Absolute number 1 service from Hyundai Leicester, we bought our first used car from their in September 2020, Ellie made sure our experience went very smoothly, because I hadn't bought a car for a number of years (had company cars) the process of even sorting my tax out would have been a nightmare, she sorted the tax, the service plan and what to expect next and the hand over went very smoothly and then last Monday we went looking for a new car and really didn't know what we wanted? we then met Raj he asked what we was looking for? he very quickly sorted out a test drive in a Hyundai Kona but even though it was a great little car it wasn't for us, we explained again and Raj showed us a Tucson which was spot on, Raj sorted out a very good part exchange price for our car and again made the process sound and was very easy, today we picked our new car up and we are extremely happy, top job Raj, he's an excellent sales man always smiling and nothing seemed too much trouble he helped us out with everything and again made it all stress free....top job by all and will definitely be returning

Excellent service from Sturgess Anstey Leicestershire. Particularly Lisa on sales and Mark from valeting both of whom were extremely helpful, nothing too much trouble for them. Thank you for a good experience on buying my new car. Fully recommend your showroom.

Disappointing customer service
Having recently bought a new vehicle I have to say I totally agree with some of these comments! Rushed into signing a deal to meet the salesman’s month end targets at very short notice which I sort of get. Now they have got my money after sales service is shocking - how much does it cost to produce and deliver a new set of number plates???? I was recommended this dealership by someone working in the marketing department at head office! The team will receive feedback based on my experience! 😩

Fantastic experience buying a car our sales man Carl was so helpful and friendly, we are over 2 hours drive away so did everything virtually. All emails and calls were answered quickly and help was given and on hand all the time, Carl went to all lengths to make the experience pleasant and we are delighted with our new car

We called into the showroom over Christmas 2021 to look at the choice of cars.
We ordered in January 2022 and were told the car would be available in June.
Well here we are and the car has come on time.
The service has been first class from the team at Sturgess Hyundai, Leicester, especially James.
I would certainly recommend them.
Well done Sturgess.

Sturgess Jaguar LandRover is the Worst Company I've ever had to deal with. Appallingly bad attitude, incompetent, and completely incapable and unwilling of giving an honest answer or sticking to their commitments.

Just bought a Range Rover Evoque from Sturgess Hyundai. The service I received from David Boulton was 1st class. He put together a great deal and was so easy to deal with, the car was as described when I collected it. Hassle free change over, well done and thanks.

Sturgess Motor company Leicester are at best useless and a Worst a complete bunch of incompetent, unprofessional, rude, clowns. Having bought a car from them which turned out to not be fit for purpose which they collected yet were unable to supply me with a courtesy car, then informed me they couldn’t fix it but couldn’t give me a like for like car either. It took months of emails telephone calls and involving both the finance company and the motor omnibus before they would buy the car back. The caused me stress, anxiety and sleepless nights NEVER BUY from them!!!!!!!

We live in Reading, Berkshire and we have been looking for our perfect vehicle as a main car. When the Insignia popped up on Auto Trader at Sturgess of Leicester we jumped on it. We spoke to Kiril, an experienced Salesperson who was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Given the distance between us, Kiril reassured us that we would by the car we had seen due to its immaculate condition. The sale followed through and I would recommend this dealership to anyone who is contemplating travelling to find the car they are after. No pressure sales with a lone test drive experience which was a nice touch and plenty of tea, coffee or water on hand at all times. Well Done Kiril and the wider Sturgess team. Highly recommend

All round awful customer experience from the service department at Narborough Road. Took an age to get through on the phones, complete incompetent staff who don't seem to know anything about the industry, whilst trying to book in, booking process a nightmare. When you arrive the Staff are so pretentious its like something out of an Essex Reality show! The arrogance and abruptness of the staff make you feel like you're an inconvenience. It is an absolute disgrace to receive such poor experience from a LR dealer. Absolutely ought to review their procedures and conduct. Thankfully it was warranty work, with choice I would not spend a penny.

where do you start - apart from to say i feel very sorry for whoever purchased my car FA16NFK. from day one they lied. i spoke to richard about my miles at only 5000 max a year and he recommended the discovery sport diesel 2.0... an engine completely unsuited to low miles and my driving style it became apparent soon enough, perhaps his commission was more important than actually selling someone a suitable car. my car went into walnut st workshop a total of 12 times in less than 2.5 years, with rattles, the boot falling apart, water in the lights, speaker faults, indicator faults, dpf and egr issues.... the main issue being the dpf, it is a known fault on the disco sport that the egr and dpf are set too far apart to do the job intended to heat up and burn the soot away via the exhaust, so it clogs and your car goes 'limp' or worse. do a basic search and the internet is full of the same issue JLR know full well about. but will only repair within warranty - and you have to fight for that too if you've had one replacement. on my car the dpf was replaced twice, after being lied to about a leaf being in the engine or other such nonsense and near 200 quid taken off me for diagnostic fees, its shocking how these people rip you off at every chance. when the car went wrong again just out of warranty by two months on 21,000 miles - yes in need of a third dpf... google, how long should a dpf last and it states 100,000 miles, so for me to need 3 after 21k miles is beyond ludicrous! they said if i wanted it replacing it was my fault for driving the car 'wrong' and not doing enough miles... lets revert back to the day i agreed to purchase and told richard exactly the style of driving and miles i do shall we, so essentially you misold this car to me or its not fit for purpose, or both. to change the dpf with labour and diagnostics fees they wanted £2100 from me!!!! at this point i'd been dealing with various people all of them did not care or were the most stupid and rude people i'd ever dealt with, when and if they ever call you back that is. i'd had enough at this point, so asked what they would give me to surrender the car and sell it back to them, an ex demo car i paid £25500 26 months earlier for and that i'd covered 16K miles in, presented in excellent order - apart from the dpf. they said 14000 if i dont fix the dpf and 15500 if i do... i was hoping they would look after me better, but i dont know why i'd expect more. i had the car fixed by fox landrover who were amazing and did the work for £700, then sold it to them for 15500 to close matters. . sadly their incompetence didnt end there, when i went in to do the deal and hand the car over, i was met by the buyer and he put the paperwork down in front of me, in bold highlighter at the top of the page was 18995 - the price they were going to put my car back out the next day! you can't make it up and can imagine after being treated so badly throughout ownership that this really left a bad taste that you were profiting again from my misery. i will never set foot in this place again and never own another JLR vehicle as long as i live, i truly hope you go out of business.
Ask them not to wash your car when you take it in for a service unless you like damaged paintwork! My car went in for some warranty work and I was given the option of having the car valeted. We declined for several reasons. Our car had a Ceramic coating applied a few months back and I didn't want to risk it not being washed properly. Also, they scratched my last vehicle when they valeted it, it clearly wasn't rinsed properly and had fine grit in the cleaning sponges or whatever they use, and it had swirls all over the car. Anyway, they wrote on the paperwork 'DO NOT WASH'. We also hang a sign in the car that asks for the car not to be washed because of the Ceramic coating and we only have it professionally valeted. Upon collection, the car had been washed. When we got the car home we realised the paintwork had been damaged. We raised a complaint and now they are saying they are accepting no responsibility. I will keep fighting for justice because this is about principle, not the amount of money it will cost the put the damage right. And, at this point, they may as well be calling me a liar. Another unhappy customer....

My car (16 plate) went in as i was unable to put it into gear on my return home from work.
The car was still working fine but was unable to change gears.
I had no noise or loss of speed or issues before this happened all of a sudden.
I took off on 1st and then into second then the gear wouldn’t come out of second no matter what.
It went in to the CIA the Narborough road branch to the Filbert Street repair shop.
They said it would be £3k+.
After a long 3 week wait for parts (major back order- slave cylinder, clutch and flywheel- apparently).
I paid £3k for this repair, was offered no courtesy car even when asked. When spoken to another approved garage they said they could have got me on the road with a new slave cylinder which they said was the cause of the fault not being able to change gear.
He said they’d taken advantage and said you need to replace it all when you had no issues previously.
When I went to pay after the repair I was expecting a payment plan that I was told they would set up before any of the repair began. But hey, on the day it was pay in full.
Last time I was there also for a service I had bad service and this time also. 2 out of 2 not looking good.
I think they’ve put me and my wife off Landrover for life.
This branch cares nothing for after sales and only lease cars and new customers.
Week later had a call for how I rated my repair, issues noted and nothing?
No car for weeks, over £3k out of pocket, 16 plate car, 45k on the clock! Not a happy chappy ☹️
