Excellent communication at all stages…
Excellent communication at all stages via text. Even had text to say the property was ready for us before the 4:00 given originally.
Could do with some TLC
Very uncomfortable bed/mattress.
Uncomfortable sofa and rather tatty.
Situation good. Near to main street and sea.
Could hear people in upstairs accommodation.
Kitchen and bathroom were both ok.
Our experience was exceptional
Our experience was exceptional. We were updated regularly with reminders and important information before our holiday. The welcome pack was incredible and a lovely personal touch. Willow Farm was stunning with real character in a perfect location close to the RSPB Minsmere nature reserve and the local pub serving beautiful food. Stunning beaches and villages close by too. Highly recommend.
Home from home accommodation
Good communication re location and access.
Lovely accommodation
Great accommodation in an ideal spot
Great accommodation in a good location. Lovely walk just across the road to Thorpeness. Owners very thoughtful and left a lovely welcome pack. Property had everything we needed and all of the above made for a great relaxing holiday and a happy contented dog.
Lovely ultra modern house
Lovely ultra modern house with plenty space for 6 adults but be aware there are 2steps from the hallway to the lounge/diner the large patio has a large table and bench with chairs and cushions in a cupboard so great for BBQs.It only takes about 30 minutes to most places so is in an ideal village for visiting the area. This was our second visit in 4 weeks and had a great time will recommend this property.
Easy to book
Easy to book. Accurate information. Excellent communications and timely reminders.
A well appointed hideaway…
A well appointed and equipped hideaway with a super sea view and the luxury to lounge in a secure garden. This accommodation is a great base to explore Southwold, Lowestoft and surrounds as well as treating yourself to local fish & chips, a pint and cracking off your long ignored reading list. Served us perfectly for a chums catch-up & getaway and the dog was very happy too!
Over all the property is lovely
Over all the property is lovely.
However there was a few things we would like to mention which we found a little annoying.
• not enough loo roll - there was only half a roll in each loo. We had run out by Sunday morning and there were none in the property to top up with.
• The TV in the lounge area was quite small.
• The windows in the lounge need blinds. We were away for a girly weekend and while trying to watch films had a very annoying glare from the windows opposite the TV.
• The beds were hard and not very comfortable.
• The hot tub wasn't as warm as we would have like as only goes up to 36° and we found ourselves getting cold have having to get out. This is very disappointing after having to pay an extra £50 to use the tub.
• Also some lights around the hot tub area would have been ideal for the evening/night-time use. The lights in the hot tub also didnt work.
The property is lovely and has a great open space out the back. But sadly the list above was a little annoying.
Good company to book with
Good website, easy to navigate and book. Lot of details on each property.
Helpful email reminders before holiday saying exactly when details of keysafe etc would be provided.
Phone numbers for contacting company.

Daisy Cottage - Barsham, Suffolk
Gem of a cottage all ground floor en-suite facilities - suited the 5 of us - Suffolk Secrets made the booking experience simple and all instructions were easy to follow - we’ve all had a lovely time
Faultless organisation and…
Faultless organisation and communication from Suffolk Secrets. It was our second booking and we have been very impressed with everything. Looking forward to booking with them again next year.
High Tide Alderburgh
The only good thing about this property is the location and a parking space. The apartment is shabby and wasn't particularly clean. There are not enough plates or mugs which means you have to dishwasher more than necessary as I certainly don't want to spend my holiday washing up. The microwave was attached to the bracket with masking tape. No placemats so we ended up using magazines to stop marks going on the wooden table. The glasses had chips on 2 of them. The bathroom was something else. It had a shower cubicle without a door so the water cascades out onto the floor soaking it through and sprayed the sink cabinet so that the wood was rotten. We ended up having to place the shower head facing right down, making it difficult to shower at all.
The light in the bathroom was so dark it was impossible for my husband to shave in. The hot water in the bathroom sink didn't heat up and was cold.
No instruction manuals except for the TV which didn't apply to the TV in the apartment and the dvd didn't work.
It was a good job we only used the apartment to sleep in and were out most of the day. Will certainly not be returning to this property and would NOT recommend at all
Milestone House, Aldeburgh.
On arrival at Milestone House we were greeted by a stale horrible aroma that existed throughout the property and a rear garden that was neglected and unusable. The furnishings and carpets were grubby at best and well worn, there were many problems with the property along with old and very worn kitchen utensils. an attempt was made to contact Suffolk Secrets but was kept on a phone hold system for over 15 minutes. Acceptance of the state of the property was accepted as I was informed immediate works were to be carried out. The holiday let cost £1,252.00 we have received a refund gesture of £234.00 has been processed. This was unsatisfactory with no one at Suffolk secrets willing to discuss all communication has to be via email with a Maya in their complaints team. I have requested a call but No call has been received. Appalling customer service now hiding under data protection act. Do not expect any customer consideration from this company.
An excellent holiday with easy booking…
An excellent holiday with easy booking and clear instructions for their holiday accommodation. Descriptions have always been clear and accurate.
Perfect place for a chilled weekend
Hempland Barn was just as lovely as it looked on the website, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend or book again. We were particularly lucky with the weather and took full advantage of the garden. It is very quiet, and the perfect place to chill and relax, we didnt leave the property all weekend and just enjoyed the ambience of good friends and beautiful barn and gardens.
Well described accommodation
Great accommodation in a lovely village. Clean, well equipped, comfortable. As described or perhaps better!
Well cottage Southwold
The property was not to the standard I expected. The kitchen was tired the dishes and pans were dirty, some with food still on and one pan was full of grease. I had to wash everything before I could use it. The oven needed a good clean, again which I had to do before I could use it! The bed linen was clean. Although there was black plastic bags of Christmas decorations under the double bed. The biggest problem was being unable to use the bath. The hot tap was broken. I advised Suffolk Secrets on the first day, someone came to look and agreed it was broken but it was never fixed. I called three times. We had purposely booked this property because we wanted a bath. Looking into the property folder at the cottage I noticed there was no up-to-date gas landlords certificate, in fact it was about 5 years out if date. I do hope there was a up-to-date one otherwise they are breaking the law. I am extremely disappointed and definitely will not be booking them again.
