Tried to book a theatre beak today - prices advertised incorrectly

Tried to book a theatre beak today. Price given for hotel and theatre ticket £133, this changed to £170 on the following screen. Contacted Superbreak and eventually said it was a problem with the website and they would honour the price and give a £50 discount. Turns out that the price they would honour was £170 not the lower amount. So a £50 discount from a higher price meant I would be still be paying £98 over the advertised rate based on 4 people. I would have given them no stars if I could have, felt like a rip off and huge waste of time.

Shame I have to give as much as 1 star. Quite appalling customer service - there were engineering works affecting our journey that added 4 hours. Absolutely no help despite three 30+ minute phone calls. Unwilling to assist us on helping amend our journey - simply hopeless.

I plead with you not to use this service - I assure you you’ll be disappointed. You’d be better off walking to your destination.

Dont use superbreaks- they allow hotels to add additional charges after you’ve booked and paid

Booked a 2 night stay with doubletree hilton via superbreaks based in part on the parking arrangements- £17 for stay. Just been e,emailed that the parking charges are now £20 per 24 hours- a big difference. Bookings made before this policy should not be charged the new rates- superbreaks however couldnt care less- basically saying the hotel can change their policy as they wish. So what happens if they decide to remove breakfast from their room rate, charge per litre of water used in the shower? is that tough luck as well?
Dont use superbreaks- better rates for the same hotels when booking direct and cut out the shoddy customer service

Just booked a weekend away with this shoddy outfit this morning. Impossible to get an answer on the phone and they insist on sending invalid email attachments that can't be opened. Even when I pointed this out they resent the same attachments! Shambolic. Wouldn't use again.

Be warned! You cannot amend late cancellations

I wrote to complain on behalf of my late disabled sister who booked a four day holiday from 23 to 27 Dec but Superbreak have not replied so I am making my views known.

My sister was unexpectedly admitted into hospital after a fall. She rang on that same day trying to reschedule the break, there were after all 4 days of holiday still to go! She was prepared to pay extra to move the dates or even have less nights but she was told that it would not be possible.

Superbreaks then sent her a survey to complete at the end of her non existent holiday, asking her how the holiday went! However because she was denied the opportunity to go at any other time, this really rubbed salt into the wound.

I really think that people should be warned about how harsh Superbreak policies are when unexpected life events occur. The website says you can amend bookings by payment of an additional fee (£15 per amendment) and move the booking to another convenient date but be warned, that is not allowed! This is a complete lie.

Unfortunately my sister has now died so her opportunity for a holiday has now gone. I will never book with Superbreaks and I encourage you not to as well.

I have booked with Superbreak several …

I have booked with Superbreak several times with no problems. However, i recently booked one night hotel with dinner snd show at Viva Vegas in Blackpool. The hotel was lovely. Unfortunately on arrival for the show and dinner on 5th Oct we were told that this had been cancelled and Superbreak had been informed of the cancellation on the 2nd oct. If Superbreak had informed us of the cancellation it would have saved us a lot of time and trouble, not to mention money! I have since emailed Customer Services but not received a response to date. Will not be booking with them again.

Super Break

I'd never heard of Super Break before making a booking or had seen any TV adverts and so I didn't feel inclined to comment before completion of my stay away and activities. I'm glad to say that everything went without a hitch. I made the booking online with Super Break for a UK hotel and excursions. I paid immediately in full by Credit Card and in return received an email containing: Booking Details and a voucher for the attractions, T & C's and a Health & Safety leaflet in PDF form which, I then printed out.
I presented the A4 booking form to the hotel upon arrival and the entertainment voucher to the first of the attractions which they exchanged for tickets. There were no problems.

booked for two nights

booked for two nights, first night no sleep due to noisey pipes. they gave me a different room next night which was comfty and clean and quiet but they knew about the problem of the room i was first in yet still let it out. it even kept my six year old awake and she can sleep for england. Was expecting to get discount on all meals but they said it was only on the evening meals even though it says discount when useing the dinning room. which is where al meals are served. the swimming pool drains smelt rather bad. On the plus side the staff were very nice.

Buckinghamshire break

We had an excellent stay, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent.
Bedroom was roomy but the bathroom was tired and needed updating. We had problems receiving our mobile signal but had the use of their internet.

They always deliver

I've been on many Super Break and each one has been a pleasant experience.
I've been on two mini cruises to Amsterdam and the planning of each was seamless from the cruise, to the transfers from Rotterdam, and the canal cruise we booked extra.
I've also seen many west end shows with Super Break and always had great tickets in the house - I particularly liked Wicked!

Super break are not a nice company

I booked a trip on living social, it was a super break weekend away, I booked it for my dad and step mum who had both turned 60. My step mum had just got over a 12 month battle of cancer. Just after we booked it she fell ill again and is undergoing a number of tests, she is that poorly she's relying on a wheel chair to get about, that's when she can actually get out of bed, she is really ill at the moment and would not be able to make the break. I rang super break and was told by a member of staff "that unfortunate cause it's non refunderble! I spoke to her manager who was even worse saying it's really unfortunate but there's nothing we can do it's non refunderble. Under the circumstances you would think they could do something. She very kindly offered to cancel the trip on the system but not refund my £318. So they could sell the trip to some one else but keep my money. Well done super break thank you so much for your help! Me and my family an friends would never use you and would never recommend you to any one!!

These people are con artists

I booked one night in Cardiff for my husband and I to attend the speedway GP. I paid the full price of £248 for a superior room, this was on 28/12/16, 7 months before the event. I phoned Superbreak to confirm booking in May. On arrival at Novetel I went to book in only to find they had no knowledge of us. I showed paperwork plus all my emails. The manager , who was very helpful tried phoning superbreak but they put him on hold and he gave up after an hour. By this time I was getting extremely stressed and tired as had driven 300miles and had fears of having to drive back straight after meeting. Lucky for us the manager managed to find us a room but it was a lower grade one than I had paid for. while we were waiting another couple arrived and guess what ... they had booked with Superbreak and once again Novatel had no knowledge. It seems to me they take your money but don't make the booking. These people are con artists

Make sure you check the price before booking

I received an email from National Express which was in conjunction with Superbreak.com.
The email listed photos of short 1-2 day/night breaks to places in the UK.
One of the photos showed a photo of the London eye and was titled "Merlin experience"
It consisted of coach trip to and from London, a ride on the London eye, a boat trip up the Thames and 2 nights in a nice hotel for £99 per person.
As its my Anniversary on August 1st it seemed perfect.
I clicked the £99 link that took me to Superbreak.com website.
The only option on the site was to select the amount of people (2) and nights (2) and click next.
Next screen shows £169.50 per person ???
Obviously a mistake!
Tried again but still the same?
I decided to email their customer support.
To be fair i did receive an email within minutes from Alex who was very professional and polite.
He explained that i must have selected the wrong hotel??.
I knew this was wrong as there was no option to change hotels.
I decided to call their customer service and amazingly Alex answered which saved lots of time.
He repeated what his email said and then told me to forward my email showing the offer to him.
I forwarded the email and waited for him to call, which he did about 15 minutes later.
Alex then explained that they had made a mistake and the offer was only for 1 night not 2?
I asked if they would honour the advertised price and was told NO!
i expected him to counter offer with a discounted price but no, was told take it or leave it.
Alex was professional and this review is of my experience with the company and not Alex as he was just doing his job.

Sunny summer London Weekend

Just returned from a London weekend - the flexibility on the train travel meant that we were able to take advantage of a quick getaway from work on Friday afternoon and start our outward journey ahead of schedule. Could not recommend the hotel that we stayed at in London too highly and found that booking with Superbreak gave us a real saving on the overall package. On the basis of this experience, we started looking at options for our next trip on the train journey back home this evening - Superbreak are very easy to use, represents excellent value and provide excellent service.
