Their Attitude Stinks!

Title says it all really. They aren't interested about after sales.

A gear selector cable broke on my 2015 Suzuki Swift Sport making the car undriveable. Despite going to a Suzuki Dealer to get it repaired, they said the part was unavailable as it 'isnt a part that often breaks' - like that really helps me telling me that!

The factory where the parts were manufactured was on summer shutdown (have you ever heard anything so ridiculous) therefore I could be waiting upto 8 weeks and have no car to drive.

I had to fight to get a courtesy car which I was begrudgingly given.

Once the car was fixed, they didn't even have the courtesy to wash it. When I went to collect it, it was covered in cobwebs and dust with being sat for so long. I therefore had to ask them to wash it.

Generally a bad experience, wouldn't buy another Suzuki due to their bad attitude.

Hidden Costs of Suzuki Ownership.
S-Cross 1.6, D16AA engine, changing the oil? You cannot reset the Oil life, once it counts down to zero the hazard lights will come on and you will likely fail an MOT, to reset you have to take it to a Suzuki dealer and suffer the minimum half hour service charge for a ten second job that if you are lucky enough to have the petrol M16A you can do yourself. Someone enlighten me.

Bad attitude, poor service, online booking a joke!

Checked online to book my var for a service. Filled in all details.
Their website allowed me to pick 3 preferred dates to book. I picked 3 and submitted the booking. The dates I was offered were the following Saturday , then the Monday and Tuesday of the same week.
Got a mail after a few mins saying it is being dealt with - I was impressed, thinking that's is good service But then...
..next day, I got a mail saying, firstly, that my confirmation date was 4th Nov 1999!! Over 10 years in the past.
At the bottom of the mail was a small note saying that they had 2 other dates available - neither of which were ones that I was offered initially when making the online booking.
So, I called them and was told that the service centre that I was trying to book had closed down 7 months ago!!! Why was it still on their website and available for booking?????
Then they asked me if I wanted a courtesy car ( at a cost of £15!).
As I had a bad experience with my previous service with them and didn't want to have to sit around for 3-4hrs, I said that I would like a courtesy car. They then told me that didn't have any! Why ask me and waste my time if you haven't got one???!!
The last two times I've had a service done with them, I've informed them of minor faults that I wanted them to check ( only had the car for 2 years - from new ). Everytime I asked for something to be checked, there standard answer was: "It's supposed to be like that" or "There doesn't seem to be a problem".
I don't report issues for fun! I reported them because they exist! Their attitude seems to be : "Go away and stop bothering us. Give us your money and accept whatever we say. If you have an issue, go and speak to someone who cares!"
I'll be selling my Suzuki in a few months and wouldn't consider buying one again purely for the reason. Having to deal with these people who don't seem to care a jot

Woeful customer service

I bought a brand new Suzuki M1800 BOSS motorcycle in September 2014. I paid around £11500 for the bike. The anacronym BOSS is important here because it stands for “Blacked Out Suzuki Special “. This means that all of the chrome that is visible on regular motorcycles is covered with black paint. Within the 1st year I had to have the exhausts replaced under the warranty as they were rusting from the inside out. The bike is garaged and is in mint condition with a full Suzuki service history. It has covered fewer than 3600 miles. The paint from the top outside edge of the exhaust is coming off, exposing the shiny metal underneath. I say this is a manufacturing issue - Suzuki are not interested. I will never buy another Suzuki because of their attitude, which is sad really as I have owned 5 in total.

Customer care ??? Gsxr 1000

Firstly I’ve owned a lot of Suzuki motorcycles in a 35 year period @ 20 machines. The bikes have been reliable and rewarding. This year has proved a challenging one with me purchasing a Brand new Gsxr 1000 L8 , the bike was a stunning machine and I was eager to see what changes were made from the previous models I have owned. My worst nightmare unfolded I made a short trip on the machine of @60 miles and put the bike away in my garage a few short hours later the bike caught fire. I was devastated so contacted the supplying dealer , he also was shocked and arranged to have the bike collected. This is where things got complicated. I was assured it was not a problem and promised a replacement motorcycle. Suzuki GB had other ideas . A “in house” investigation took place where a crack team of Factory Technicians from japan were shipped over. By this point my own insurance were involved, Suzuki then seemed to be controlling the investigation. After all was done a conclusion of 3rd party wiring was found to be the case. The supplying dealer had fitted a Tail tidy which was the area the fire had started and was mine and fire service initial possible cause. Customer services treat me atrociously when I confronted them with this and many phone calls later . The dealer stopped contact. My insurance decided to take over and fully repair my bike , the bike was repaired faultlessly . The guy who handled my claim also seemed to be sympathetic but could not say anything.
The customer service supervisor was highly skilled in her approach to protect Suzuki and the dealer involved, no concern about myself or family was ever given , my home could been burnt down or worse. Suzuki have become a sales at any cost company . I personally would have no more dealings with them as when the customers money has changed hands they become an inconvenience. My experience could have been handled with a lot more sympathy and resolved in a better way. I’ve given ⭐️ ⭐️ only because of the past 35 years of owning their machines . Customer service rating is a big fat Zero . Suzuki you have been eclipsed by many other European manufacturers in recent years and I have decided to never support or endorse your products or motorcycles.
In my opinion you are a Disgrace hope you and your dealer are satisfied with your selves.

Troubles while travelling

I happened to be abroad while visiting friends when my K8 broke down in wet weather, I diagnosed the problem as not charging, I researched and found an outstanding recall to have the Regulator replaced, I contacted Suzuki Uk and they promptly appointed a local dealer to my friends residence and i took the bike there to have the work carried out, The whole A to Z of the experience was wonderful and i will continue to endorse the Suzuki Burgman which i think it the best all round motorcycle. To add to this after riding these for 50000 Miles+ i have never been let down by the burgmans.
Many many thanks indeed.

If only zero stars was an option

If zero stars was an option that is what my review would be! If my experience is anything to go by I would steer clear of anything with a Suzuki badge on it! We recently bought a brand new Vitara and had a world of problems from day one including them selling us front and rear parking sensors when the Vitara can't actually have these fitted at the front! They registered it to the wrong person and then as a result of having to reregister it we didn't qualify for free tax for the year. Eventually got this sorted!
Now we have just had an accident and needed to claim for the repair, waiting today for the car to be returned and found out that the repairer is not approved by our insurer - it's a Suzuki garage - worrying! On further investigation it appears that having a repair at anything other than an approved Suzuki garage means that your warranty is void - so the choice is pay an extra £250 excess for using a non-Suzuki garage or lose our warranty! I should warn you that we actually went through Suzuki First which is Suzuki's accident management company and they tell you to call them first if you have an accident!!!! At no point did they tell us that there might be extra excess to pay by using a Suzuki garage, in fact their comment on the phone was "how can we know what excesses the insurers have", perhaps they shouldn't be dealing with motor accidents if they don't have an understanding of motor insurance companies policies?? Anyway rant over - moral of the story is only buy a Suzuki if you want a world of pain in your life!

Suzuki Ignis - Immortal!

The Ignis I had was driven into the ground. How it survived the abuse it got as a commuter vehicle I will never know. Bought it for £800 and it never went wrong except for tyres etc. It was bullet-proof. I may get another from new but maybe go second hand as I hate the 20% loss in VAT.

Suzuki B King/ Hyabusa clutch disaster.

I bought a Suzuki B king brand new.Its now done 30,000 miles.
I have had to rebuild the gearbox once and the clutch three times.
Because of the latest clutch failure it has damaged the outer clutch case which is going to cost me 250 pounds plus a further 100 pounds for the springs, spring supports and spring tension bolts.
This fault was known about by Suzuki in 2009 but they never issued a recall notice. They issued a bulletin to their dealers to locktite the spring supports into the center clutch boss but never sent the owners of the bikes any notification. This bike has the same clutch as the Hyabusa which also experiences the same problem.
Suzuki has a terrible customer service and it appears to me that once you take the vehicle from the dealers your on your own.
Will never buy another vehicle from this company.

Suzuki Make Great Cars

Recently my son had turned 17 and for his birthday i purchased him a Suzuki Swift as a first car. I thought i would buy him this car as it's a very reasonable price and to make it even better the insurance was really reasonably cheap! For a first car it's perfect, not too big or too small, really good buy.

I brought it as a car to practice in and it's so smooth to drive, i've never experienced such a comfortable car to drive. My son was really impressed with the car, if your looking for a good smooth to drive car this is the car you need! I thought the car was really benefical for any age as its so smooth and nice to drive, not only is it a nice car to look at but the interior is gorgeous!

Would highly reccommend this car to anyone! Really really nice car! Best car i've ever purchased!

Good little car

I bought a Suzuki Jimny in July 2010. Since delivery (14 months) I have driven 23000 miles with no problems at all. Despite the poor reviews of the pundits the car has perfomed well in all conditions and on all types of road. It is off roaded every day and I expect it to keep up with motorway traffic.

If there are any downsides it is thirsty for a 1300cc car (around 35mpg overall) and the servicing has been a bit slapdash at the main Suzuki dealer.

A good value, no nonsense little car.
