I recently dropped a fairly new watch (less than 12 months old); the second hand came off its mounting, and the hour/minute hands stopped going round. SWICO repaired the watch and changed the bat... See more

I sent my Raymond Weil watch for a…

I sent my Raymond Weil watch for a battery and reseal, told me it would no longer be water resistant unless I took the service for 140 pounds. Paid this and got my watch back only to wear it in the kiddie pool on holiday a week later and it was full of condensation. They tried to tell me that it was no longer water resistant. I wonder what the point of using only RW approved watch menders is or selling water resistant only to be told it is no longer so. I will never use swico again.

Where do I even start..

Where do I even start... If i could give less than a 1 star rating I would happily do so. I sent my Olivia Burton watch via an Ernest Jones store on 23rd March...13 weeks down the line and a new battery and strap replacement seems to be a task too difficult to complete. I have read every note that Ernest Jones have sent to SWICO on behalf of the customer (myself) throughout this repair. I've had weeks upon weeks of my time wasted as SWICO stated they would send images of straps to which they never bothered and instead notified Ernest Jones that the customer should go online and pick a strap - and I had done exactly that. I had had multiple chats with Olivia Burton online to ensure the strap i had in mind would be correct for the dial and style of my watch. I provided the product code, the style, the name of the strap every description possible - this was sent to SWICO by Ernest Jones. A fortnight later, my watch is sent back...with the WRONG strap. I made it extremely clear my frustrations for a repair job that I had been told by Olivia Burton themselves, should never take any more than 2 weeks. The watch was once again sent back, another fortnight passed where it arrived back in store on 15 June. I thought finally I'd get my watch back and what I had asked for. Did I? No. Because yet again, the strap was wrong. Not only that, they have destroyed the PVD finishing on the dial of the watch. This was a gift for my 21st birthday purchased in July 2017. I already think its absolutely POOR customer courtesy that Olivia Burton cover only battery replacements in their warranty - claiming no responsibility to any damage to the watch including wear and tear, strap replacements and PVD finishing to name a few. For the prices of these watches, it is much more worthwhile for you to invest in a piece that you know will not fall apart in less than two years. It is clear to me that SWICO employees have chosen to be continuously ignorant to every piece of information provided on my behalf through Ernest Jones so much so that they have taken 13 weeks and counting to complete such a simplistic repair that I am sure they deal with on a daily basis. Choosing to ignore the fact that by now the watch should be entirely replaced considering the damage and the lack of capability in completing a simple repair and instead once again requesting I tell them what strap i want...I already have...weeks ago...so what part are SWICO actually paying attention to in this correspondence...I have complained to SWICO customer service and I was notified that they 'don't deal with customers directly' so where do I can't even think of where i even begin when it comes to resolving this but I am completely determined in finding a way that makes damn sure SWICO take responsibility. Despite being in contact with Olivia Burton on more than one occasion through their web chat - they have flatly denied ever having a conversation with me as a customer...As someone who has more than 5 years of experience in retail...this is a far cry from customer service...it's diabolical ignorance...

From one extremely frustrated, angry and fed up 'customer'

I had the best service from these guys…

I had the best service from these guys when I needed a new deployment clasp on my RW watch. The watch is about 10 years old and I love it.. I had been to a number of repair people who said they could repair but not replace the clasp and repairing would most likely end up going again so my beloved watch was sitting in a drawer. I stumbled across these people, called them, signed up, they sent pre paid packaging for the watch and I sent it off. Got an email a couple of days later confirming the job to be do be done, I authorised and paid for it, and around 2 weeks later got an email confirming my watch was in its way back to me, postage paid and a tracker number provided. Simple, easy, good value and I am delighted I can wear my watch again. Only downside for me? I couldn’t leave this review on their actual website!

Sent a Raymond Weil watch to them as it…

Sent a Raymond Weil watch to them as it had stopped working. They contacted me to say they could not get parts for the watch as it was over 20 years old and would need a complete new movement for a cost of £266.67 plus vat. After much soul searching, as the watch was my late father's I got them to send it back to me and took it to my local watch repairer. The watch repairer put in a new battery and charged me £12.00,and it has been going ever since. When I contacted Swico the female supervisor said how happy she was for me.Great customer service and I don't think.I will not be using them again

Top marks for a top job

I requested for a new strap along with replacement glass for my TW Steel watch, the parts used are authentic TW Steel and the process for the repair was easy and I was sent out a prepaid, insured box to send it in.
Great company to deal with from start to finish. They offer a good price for a repair and beat every other quoteatiin I was given. The workmanship on my watch is fantastic, it came back fixed, cleaned and looking like new.
Will definitely be using this company again.
Thanks guys
