Absolutely delighted with our new furniture that arrived today.
From meeting Warren and discussing our needs, he kept us up to date with regular contact throughout the process. The guys from Edmundson’s who delivered the furniture were also first class. They do say you get what you pay for and we certainly have. The quality is exceptional! Can not recommend highly enough.

The quality is outstanding. The leather is so soft and the colour exactly as it appears on the website. As important, the aftercare has been exemplary. We definitely recommend them. It is always a leap of faith buying something as personal as furniture for your new home over the Internet if you cannot visit a showroom but this company have treated us with great integrity and we would definitely come back to them again.

We started looking for a sofa almost a year ago tried the large stores department stores etc etc but just couldn’t find the perfect sofa. I then found SW James on social media and we went along to have a look as soon as we saw the sofas there we knew that’s what we needed! However it’s not just the product that makes this company great, the customer service has been outstanding from start to finish. Warren was amazing it really comes across how much he loves his job and the We can’t Thankyou enough Warren and team the sofas are perfect and the purchasing process made it even better.

I have wanted a Chesterfield for a very long time and when my nan passed away recently and left me a little money, I decided this would be the perfect thing to spend it on. We did a lot of research before placing an order and visited a lot of show rooms before deciding to make the trip 'up north' to visit Warren in his showroom in Bollington. We were so glad we made the effort to drive the 4 hours up to see him.
We'd already learnt a lot about his company from the brilliant videos he produces and were eager to try 'the most comfortable Chesterfield'. The visit did not disappoint! After visiting so many other companies, and sitting our butts down on what seemed like a hundred different sofas, these were truly the best. Also, Warren was happy to accommodate for exactly what we were looking for where other companies had failed. I was able to have the exact depth, colour, legs and studding. We'd been looking for a really deep Chesterfield and the Oakley was exactly what we were looking for. It really is a truly beautiful bespoke piece and a wonderful, life long addition to our home. From order to delivery took just over 10 weeks and has been worth the wait. We are now in the process of replacing the other sofas in our home and will be adding footstools too. The only problem now is which style to choose from....but we can't wait to welcome those pieces into our home too!
If you are in a similar position and are trying to decide where best to spend your money, you should definitely make a visit to see Warren or at the very least check out their website as it's full of interesting videos and information on the other ranges they stock.
It was a pleasure buying from a family business and I look forward to my next purchase with them.

I can’t say enough good things about SW james. Not only do their sofas look stunning, but they are soft and extremely comfortable which other chesterfields makers aren’t.

Not only that but it’s obviously a close knit family run team with exceptional customer service when explaining options and organising delivery. Warren was absolutely brilliant to deal with and offered great advice regarding size and style. I would thoroughly recommend.

We have had a 4 seat Oakley in vintage green leather for 2 weeks. It is simply brilliant, like sitting with on the comfiest, cuddliest and MASSIVE and I mean hugely deep and tall ( exactly what we’d asked for) sofa you can imagine.

It really is great, took 3 or 4 days to get used to, but it’s now the go to sofa in the house, for everyone.

Warren was great throughout the process, from meeting at the workshop to keeping us posted throughout the build and delivery.

Best sofa we’ve ever had, we will be replacing our others in due course.

S.W.James offer a unique purchasing experience - simply put they are not just another furniture manufacturer! Personal service all the way through product selection / samples and plain and simple advice! Warren and the team are craftsmen - my Huxley is the best single piece of furniture I have ever owned - the leather is sublime. The comfort exceptional. These handmade pieces are manufactured in very quick time and delivered faultlessly.

From receiving samples and visiting the showroom, to ordering and delivering to my tight timescale, I can’t fault SW James for their excellent customer service. Warren answered all my questions and kept me updated throughout my sofa build. The results are incredible. We wanted a large comfy sofa that would accommodate our two large dogs and stand up to a bit of wear and tear. We went for a four seater Oakley in vintage dark brown and paired it with a two seater Huxley - SW James applied the Oakley style buttons so that they matched. The beehive feet are beautiful (def recommend these). Our occasional sitting room has turned into one we use all the time because the sofas are beautiful and so comfortable - the dogs love them too! The colour and quality of the leather is amazing, not shiny like cheaper sofas. These were a real investment for us and we won’t be replacing them for a very long time. In fact, I think they will look better as they age! SW James were definitely the right choice.

Firstly, if I could give ten stars then I would. I already own a beautiful old Chesterfield sofa and had been looking for some time to find one of the same quality. Thankfully, I chose S.W.James and they have not disappointed. The quality of the leather and the workmanship is outstanding to say the least. With such amazing attention to detail, you can tell the team that built my sofa take great pride in their work. I asked for tweaks to the design and they very happily obliged. I was given regular updates as to how the build was progressing and upon delivery, I was called to check I was 100 percent happy with my purchase. Well, I’m more than 100 percent happy if that’s at all possible. The whole experience from the ordering to the delivery was exceptional. I can’t fault Warren and his team at S.W.James and would definitely recommend them if you’re looking for a top quality Chesterfield. Oh, I forgot to add, the sofa is very comfortable.

Fantastic furniture and excellent service! We found SW James on Facebook, visited the showroom and knew straight away what we wanted. Excellent quality, exactly what we were looking for and all made in UK using traditional methods. Fab!

We had looked long and hard for a sofa as we didn't want the high street tat and wished to avoid fake and over priced antique and vintage items of which there are many!
By chance we landed on the webpages of SW James and their products piqued our interest enough to pay them a visit so that we could see and feel the product and determine if the furniture was for us. We were not disappointed with what we saw and recognised Warren to be honest and knowledgable about his products and in particular the grade of leathers they use and yes you can tell the difference between his and the high street!
We were not concerned with the lead time for our order which for us was around 6 weeks. Delivery is from an unrelated but long standing firm called Edmondson's who were superb I might add, they actually called me to arrange delivery! On site they took there time and were careful in handling the furniture into our home for which I was grateful for. Well it's about 4 weeks since we've had our Birdie sofa, snuggler and footstool and to date we are more than happy with not just the design and look but also the practicality and comfort.
We cannot thank Warren and Clive enough for the excellent customer service and build quality for our "birdie" sofa, snuggled and footstool and do not hesitate to recommend SW James!

We have had a Chesterfield suite in the past they just look great but not always the most comfortable. SW James have provided us with the most comfortable Chesterfield ever. From appointment to delivery I cannot fault the service. You have a personal appointment with Warren to discuss your needs and try out all of the versions, it was very special and made you feel that you were the most important customer. The pricing was very competitive with other manufacturers but the quality shone through and we are delighted with our matching 3 seater Huxleys on honeypot legs. For us it gives the sofas a bit more height which allows easier cleaning beneath. They were comfy from day one now a month or so in we couldn't be happier with our purchase. Great company to deal with.
