Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service! My 2 year old car had been in the garage for a month, due to engine issues. The car issue wasn't even the problem. It was the fact every time I called for an update, I would just be fobbed off and promised that some one would call me later that day. Not once did anyone call me back. Another occasion when I rang, I was informed my advisor was on annual leave...one hour later I had an email from him. I have been left feeling so frustrated by the experience and will never return to BMW!

Worst dealership in Britian
The worst customer service after car you can ever imagine.

Sytner Oldbury left us stranded for 7 hours in a village without a replacement car manager would not help the worst experience ever buying a car from a unprofessional company.

The worst experience of my career
The worst experience of my career. BMW Oldbury Sytner have destroyed my BMW X6. The vehicle was taken in for a simple repair and the technician messed around with the engine causing a knocking noise. Then they tried to fix that but then broke other compartments. Then they try to charge me £24k for a new engine. They have completely ruined and destroyed my vehicle. Shocking experience.

Kerlisha is professional and courteous when discussing the standard of service that was provided when our car was booked for our annual service.
A pleasure to talk to and took my opinions into account.

Extremely Disappointed with Service at BMW Sytner Oldbury
Repeated Poor Service and Negligence at BMW Sytner Oldbury
I am extremely disappointed with the repeated poor service and negligence I have experienced at BMW Sytner Oldbury. My recent visits have not only caused inconvenience but also raised serious safety and accountability concerns.
Airbag Recall and Passenger Restraint Fault
On 20 November 2024, I brought my vehicle to this branch for a recall service (airbag check and replacement, if necessary) and an engine oil and filter change. Two days later, on 22 November 2024, when I drove the car, an error message appeared on the dashboard: "Passenger restraint system fault" with an airbag warning.
This issue had never occurred before, and it is clear that it resulted from the recall service. However, when I contacted the service advisor, they dismissed my concerns and insisted I pay £120 for a diagnostic check, in addition to repair and parts costs. This is unacceptable, as it seems evident that the fault was introduced during the recall service.
Engine Oil Leak and Damaged Sump
On 23 November 2024, I discovered an engine oil leak in the area where my car was parked. Concerned, I took the vehicle to a mechanical garage, where the technician confirmed that the engine oil drain plug was loose and that the sump had been damaged due to overtightening during the previous oil change.
When I visited BMW Sytner Oldbury on 20 November, the service advisor mentioned that the technician had found silicone on the drain plug and warned of a potential oil leak if silicone wasn’t applied again. My car had no history of oil leaks, and I asked them to provide evidence of this alleged silicone (e.g., photos or videos), but they failed to do so.
Despite their assurance that the issue had been resolved, the oil leak was evident the next day. I also have video evidence documenting this leak. It is clear that the sump was damaged during the service on 20 November, and the silicone story appears to be an attempt to cover up the mistake.
Previous Negligence: Engine Splash Shield (May 2024)
This is not my first negative experience with BMW Sytner Oldbury. On 15 May 2024, I brought my car in for another recall service. Afterward, I discovered that the engine splash shield cover had not been properly secured, and several screws were missing. This negligence caused noise at speeds over 45 mph and posed a significant safety risk.
Had the shield detached while driving on the motorway, it could have caused a severe accident, endangering both myself and other drivers.
These repeated incidents highlight a lack of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail at BMW Sytner Oldbury. From creating new issues during services to dismissing customer concerns and fabricating excuses, the service provided by this branch has been deeply unsatisfactory.
I urge BMW Sytner Oldbury to:
1. Improve technician training and enforce accountability to ensure proper service.
2. Take responsibility for mistakes made during servicing and provide solutions without charging customers for errors caused by your staff.
3. Enhance customer service to handle complaints more effectively and provide evidence when making claims about vehicle conditions.
I expected better from a brand like BMW, but my experiences at BMW Sytner Oldbury have left me deeply dissatisfied. I cannot recommend this branch to others and hope they take immediate steps to improve their standards.

I recently bought a BMW X3 from the Sytner group Oldbury and was looked after by Chris Pugh and Anthony Dealey and I can say thier customer service was of the highest order from start to finish.
I can recommend them as highly skilled professionals in the customer service they afforded me.

No Integrity - Ongoing blatant BS supported by call recordings that I've requested and now have.
After having a regularly serviced and low mileage engine replaced in my BMW 520d auto, BMW Oldbury have continued to lie and contradict themselves in order take money from me when (I requested and have the call recording, evidence of blatant BS) they confirmed clearly on the recording that BMW UK would cover 100% parts and labour.
3 emails later over several weeks and still no response from BMW Oldbury....
Initial discussion with BMW Oldbury and months discussing with BMW UK / Germany
When I was told over the phone BMW would cover the engine replacement I was obviously pleased that they saw sense and undertook this work as a goodwill.
No Integrity - blatant ongoing BS to get money from me (likely for their commission)
What I'm not happy about is their service teams blatant lack of integrity - BMW Oldbury have changed their story at least 4 times when trying to get money from me and included things in an invoice that I knew absoloutely nothing about (brake related parts - it's an engine replacement!!!????).
Yet they've forced me into a corner to pay giving me a payment profile option over a number of mths otherwise I wasn't allowed my car back.
Variety of stories and reason for charge - nothing stacks up
The initial reason for the charge of c.£3k+ was for diagnosis which I was able to negotiate down to c.£2k before BMW accepted fault. Once fault accepted they then tried to tell me when I went to collect the car that only 50% of labour is covered so the charge still stood (call recording says otherwise, says 100%).
The interesting thing here is that this charge regardless of which of the 4+ different reasons they are citing has not changed at all throughout.
So the diagnosis which in itself seemed made up after initially being told it would take 13 hrs hence the cost and then being told when I agreed to the cost in order for them to proceed with diagnosis that they would let me know within a few hrs what the diagnosis is - this also was a telephone call so I will request these calls also!
When I went to collect the car:
1. The cost went from being a diagnosis cost to
Then
2."This is a warranty charge." I'm not interested in this - this is what I was told over the phone when told BMW would cover the cost of the engine replacement. I have a choice whether to pay for this warranty or not and have made it perfectly clear I dont want it!
Then
3. Cost is 50% of labour
Then
4. This is for other parts including brake parts etc (as per invoice they gave me)...
I mean ??, this was the first time I heard about this??
I feel forced to share this with communities and via Trust Pilot because BMW Oldbury continue to bury their head in the sand and will not even acknowledge receipt of my emails.
I do not want the warranty and I will not pay for something I have not agreed to pay in advance of collecting my car - I had no choice but to accept the payment profile because I was told otherwise I would not get my car back and I'd already been without it for at least 2 months. The service manager said he would review the call recordings and would come back to me to discuss - they clearly haven't done this and they continue to ignore me.

OLDBURY STYNER ...NEVER GO AGAIN
I've spent 100 of thousands of pounds with BMW over the year
Even my current car cost me 120k and to be treated with an disrespectful individual (craig working in services) at oldbury styner bmw was an eye opener.
This individual called me to explain knowing about my car having a recall and it had to stay with bmw for days (I have the text) . I said its impossible due to my work commitments.
He kept interrupting me and lied about not being able to see info on my car from another dealership.
He failed to solve the issue and put the phone down on me.
I called Wolverhampton and they sorted my issue Instantly even providing me with a loan car.
I would stay away from oldbury and craig as the guy needs to be re-trained on how to deal with customers.
I will be reconsidering my options when thinking of buying a car in the next few months from oldbury , as I was going to talk to their sales team to purchase a brand new vehicle....now that won't be happening

Got a used bmw from oldbury sytner
Got a used bmw from oldbury sytner. Was an absolute shambles of an experience for me and my wife. Went to view car, had scratches on witch is understandable. Was told they would be sorted by the time we picked up car. This didn’t happen. Car had to go back in for body work. Then a week later having taking it on motorway for 1st time car was shaking over 60mph tracking had gone. Customer service is shocking. Contacted them many of times with no one getting back to me. Emailed ceo of company then I was contacted. One positive Claire the manager was understanding although I only had 14 days to find another car, in witch case I haven’t so now I’m without a car, so got to hire a car so can get the kids around on school holidays. Handing the car back won’t be going there again. Don’t read the reply load of you know what. Cheers

I was in the market for a new car
I was in the market for a new car, speaking with Anthony Dealey at Oldbury BMW, there was an ex demo 5 series which he told me all about, I couldn't get to the garage so he done me a personalised video of the whole car inside and out, any questions were answered immediately and honestly. There was no pushing for an order which is great. Great service, great guy and will certainly be buying my next car from him.

Before choosing the desired model on 8th of May 2024 at the Wolverhampton rd Oldbury Sytner I was attended by a sales person, named Luke Massey. This gentleman was very engaging, well mannered and made every trip to the dealer tremendously pleasant. Kept me up to date every step of the way, with the progress of the car. Since my background is sales, It gives me great pleasure in saying that this man is an a great asset to the establishment. I hope to do more business in the coming future.
Many thanks

Rubbish Service After three phone calls from this…
After three phone calls from this dealer about a recall and a service I explained to them that I had just undergone a knee replacement and couldn't book my car in yet and I would as soon as I was fit enough so two months later my car was booked in for a recall and service but the recall was NOT done! It cost me £592.06 and all they try to do is upsell you things you don't need and NOT do the jobs they are supposed to do
Rubbish

Dear Luke,
Dear Luke,
Following your email, I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with your response to the damages that occurred to my vehicle under your responsibility as per the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
I am not seeking goodwill gestures, but rather appropriate financial compensation for the damages sustained to my vehicle while it was in your care.
Attached is an estimated invoice from BMW Stoke detailing the damages to my car, totaling £5,807.08. This amount is necessary to cover my losses, as opposed to the inadequate and disrespectful £750 settlement offered.
Furthermore, I am deeply disappointed and shocked by the lack of honesty, transparency, and conduct displayed by a reputable company like Sytner BMW from the outset, especially given the trust I had placed in them.
Additionally, this failure to address the situation adequately leaves me with no choice but to escalate this matter further.
Regards,
Abdul Sadique
Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service, sourced the vehicle I wanted to the exact specifications. Gary, our salesperson was so helpful and couldn’t of done more to assist throughout the purchase.
