My recent stay at Tamassa Bel Ombre was…
My recent stay at Tamassa Bel Ombre was unfortunately very disappointing and raised concerns about both service and guest care.
On arrival, I was allocated a top-floor room requiring approximately 40 steps to access, with poor lighting. As a guest of nearly 72 years of age, this was extremely difficult and left me breathless each time. I raised this concern and requested to speak with a manager, but this was never followed up.
Service on arrival was also lacking, with no welcome drink or basic hospitality offered unless requested.
The most concerning issue occurred during meals. I was informed that my breakfast and dinner package did not include water—not even tap water. When I requested a glass of water to take medication, this was refused by a staff member.
This goes beyond policy. Access to water during meals, particularly for medication, is a basic expectation in any hotel. While I understand bottled beverages may be chargeable, refusing even tap water shows a lack of care for guest wellbeing.
When I asked to speak to a manager, the response I received was dismissive and unhelpful, with no clear explanation or documentation provided when requested.
At no point prior to my booking was I informed that water would be excluded from meals. Had this been made clear, I would not have booked.
Hospitality is not just about facilities, but about how guests are treated. Unfortunately, this experience fell well below expectations.
This is a budget hotel and not 4 star as advertised Food was also below quality.
