I ordered a chicken roaster and was told it was out of stock from Staub! But they said it would be before the end of February (it wasn’t) I subsequently found I could get it from an alternative supplier no problem. I instructed Tatta that I would like to cancel and they stated my refund would be processed! Well it’s now nearly the end of March and nothing has happened!! I have a pointless email trail to this debacle but not my money!!

Unexpected Import Charges – Not Clearly Stated at Checkout
Just a heads up to anyone considering ordering from the UK — you will likely be charged additional import VAT, duty, and a DHL admin fee after delivery, which can add a significant extra cost.
While this may be standard for international orders, it was not made clear enough during the purchase process. The information is buried in the small print rather than being clearly highlighted before checkout, so the extra charges came as an unwelcome surprise.
I contacted Tattahome about this and was disappointed with their response — there was no acknowledgement or apology for the lack of clarity.
DHL delivered the item without issue, but the unexpected charges and poor communication from the retailer made the overall experience frustrating.
Definitely worth factoring in these additional costs before ordering.
I received defective cookware with heavy penalties for returns
I received defective cookware as the lids do not sit well on the pots. Requested return was told I had to pay for return postage from UK to Italy AND Italian customs charges and tax. When I complained they wouldn’t budge and said it’s because we brexited. I have filed a dispute with the credit card company as this is not a fair way of dealing with customers.

The item I received differed significantly from what was advertised on the website. I purchased a high-priced rug that was described as fully finished and bound on all edges. However, upon arrival, the rug appeared to be of poor quality, seemingly cut from a larger sheet and left unfinished.
Additionally, I was required to pay a 20% import tax, which made an already expensive and substandard product even more costly.
I contacted customer service to seek clarification and was informed that they would consult the manufacturer and follow up with me. Unfortunately, I have not received any further communication.
Given the price I paid, I expected the product quality to align with the description provided on the website.
UPDATE:
• The order was placed on 24 February
• Import duties were paid on 10 March
• The item was received on 11 March
• I raised a complaint on 13 March, as the item did not match what was advertised
• I was advised he would investigate and respond, however I did not receive any update until I followed up again on 1 April
• At that point, I was informed that the manufacturer had changed the product design but that the images had not been updated
This confirms that the product was sold using inaccurate and outdated imagery, and therefore does not correspond with its description at the point of sale.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be “as described.” Where they are not, the consumer is entitled to reject the goods and receive a full refund, with the seller bearing the cost of return.
In addition, under the Consumer Rights Directive and related EU consumer protection legislation applicable to Italian traders, where goods do not conform to the contract, the seller is required to provide a remedy at no cost to the consumer. This includes covering return shipping and ensuring that the consumer does not incur additional charges such as import duties as a result of returning a misrepresented item.
In light of this, the proposal that I return the item at my own expense, assume liability for shipping costs and import duties, and risk deductions from my refund is not compliant with the above legislation. Such terms would only apply in the case of a discretionary or “change of mind” return, which is not the case here.
To be clear, the item was sold under false or misleading representation and this company has no intention of doing what is not just morally right but legally right as well.
This entire experience has been deeply disrespectful from start to finish. What was meant to be a meaningful purchase to honor someone I lost very suddenly and the original item, lost in a house fire has instead been reduced to a frustrating and upsetting exchange. As the After Sales Manager, Andrew’s handling of this matter has come across as dismissive and insincere, lacking even a basic level of empathy or understanding. The way this has been addressed is, quite frankly, unacceptable and has left a very poor impression.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPAY.

The product - an Alessi Juicer - was a little slow to arrive but was well packaged. Unlike some of the previous reviewers I did not have to pay 20% import tax to the Courrier. I was disappointed that the product was not fitted with a UK plug. I only wondered how they would get around this, or if they would, after I had ordered the item. A convertor plug was provided but in truth if I had known I would have looked for this product or similar here in the UK in order to have bought a 'UK standard' one instead.

Refund woes.
Ordered a pan online, hands up I didn't check that it would take 3-4 weeks to arrive so a cancellation and refund was agreed. It then took 7 weeks for the refund to hit may account. And in between all this they went and dispatched the pan I didn't want anymore! Just look out of the delivery widow when buying online.

Few days ago in reply to my review, Tattahome claimed they would never take a customer's money and in a private reply told me there was only a very short delay. Another week has passed, a total scam. Am pursing through the credit card company and potentially other routes.
alessi electric kettle in white
I purchased the alessi electric kettle in white, having first asked if it would come with a uk plug. Unfortunately it does not. It comes with an adapter plug. That is different. The kettle itself is lovely and I’m happy with it but the plug looks ugly and I wouldn’t have bought it had I known it was just an adapter not a proper uk plug.

Tattahome did deliver the item I ordered, a Le Creuset pot, i used them because the price was about 5% lower than anywhere else - seemed like a great deal - BUT, i didn't realise, because it isn't made clear the items are shipped directly to you from abroad meaning you will have to pay import duties, tax and admin fees to the delivery company....
This should be made clear and obvious.
Returns seem like a nightmare so, i paid the tax, got the item but will never use them again.

I’ve ordered on line pots & pans worth £1766.63 including £69.60 delivery, I placed an order on 10 November 2025. 4 weeks later I got big crate delivered, as I was busy I didn’t open the crate for few days, when I did open found half 4 item missing ( half )( and I got EXTRA CHARGE £380 for custom duty) so I contacted them through email, they got back saying oh yes the rest will be arriving in few days, weeks go by nothing, then sent email again, again told me it’s coming in few days, still nothing weeks go by email them again same excuses, after so many lies, I said no just return my money, they said ok, weeks go by nothing contacted again said oh I got few item do you want me to send them I said no just return my money please, again week gone by nothing from them, contacted them again email, this time got reply saying oh I put a urgent return message you should receive it, again weeks gone nothing, I cannot count how many email I’ve sent, finally I got so fed up it’s almost 5 months since I put an order which should take delivery 4weeks, nothing contact my PayPal then few days later got my money back, so I would never use them again and I urge people do the same avoid at any cost, as you will not just pay but also pay extra custom duty which is a lot I’ve paid £380. Just remember all this was happening from start they never contacted me first, I had to contact them to say my order half was missing. Beware of Duty Fees USA
It’s a bit shady to offer a really good sale price to grab the attention of customers. Only to be told by DHL you must pay several hundred dollars to receive your package the day it arrived. You have five days to pay this or they will return the package to Tatta Home.
I scoured Tatta Home website for any print of duty fees on purchases made to be delivered for the USA. And I have found nothing!!!
I should have known it was too good to be true! What a SHAM!
And all the positive reviews are sketchy too…!
I don’t need anything from this company that bad to pay an astronomical fee for delivery of items that cost just a few dollars more than the duty fees. Kick rocks Tatta Home and DHL.

Order placed over a month before I actually received the item. Then, when it was finally about to be delivered to my home, I had to incur additional shipping costs of over $100 that had to be paid or it would not be delivered. Overall, the purchase was way more expensive than if I had gone to the store and bought it directly and brought it home.
