Very happy with my purchase

The photos didn’t do the flatware justice, I’m very happy with my purchase. Yes, shipping took time but that was covered during check out, DHL sent updates and the package arrived sooner than expected which was great. WECDXPQGG

Legit company very happy 😃

I was a little dubious about this company however I had no other choice as I wanted white le creuset . This company is based in Italy . Communication is very limited and I contacted the company a couple of times with vague responses. However my amazing items arrived 6 weeks after order with a limited duty tax and all in perfect condition.

This is a legit company and I am very happy they offered my goods and delivered in perfect condition . Thank you

Really bad experience

Really bad experience, if you are in the UK then don't buy from this firm. They advertised a competitive price and then it turns out this didn't include VAT so I got a hefty bill from DHL. When I said I didn't want to pay the VAT and I wanted DHL to return it to them, they tried to refuse. I pointed out their advertising was misleading as not portraying the full price (which they ignored) and then they tried to say I would have to pay import duties for it being returned to Italy which was where it came from.
I have ended up having to escalate to my credit card company.
This company does not operate within the EU distance selling regulations nor the UK Adverstising Standards. AVOID

We are sorry to read your review, but we must clarify a few important points as what you are stating is simply not correct.
On every product page of our website, it is clearly specified for UK customers that:
“UK orders are VAT excluded. You’ll pay UK VAT (20%) to the courier upon delivery. No extra customs duties apply. Same total as before Brexit.”
This information is visible before purchasing, therefore there is no misleading pricing and nothing is hidden from customers. The VAT is collected by the courier according to UK import rules after Brexit, not by us.
We ship thousands of orders to the United Kingdom every year, and this process is standard and well known by UK customers purchasing from EU retailers.
Regarding the refusal of the shipment, when a customer declines to pay import VAT, the parcel is automatically returned by the courier. In such cases, return shipping costs and handling fees may apply, which is also standard procedure in international shipping.
We are a serious company with many years of international experience, and transparency with our customers is extremely important to us. Unfortunately, it seems that the information provided on the website was not read carefully.

Although I spent over £6000 on two…

Although I spent over £6000 on two light fittings the communication was very poor. I emailed several times and just got an automated reply along with a few hours later an email asking how they'd done while not having answered or replied to mt many emails. Very frustrating.

I ordered two items from Tattahome

I ordered two items from Tattahome, on the delivery note it say two but there was only one. I’ve emailed customer services and had no response. Really poor customer service and I’m still at a loss as how to now get in touch since there based in Italy

Fantastic company to deal with

Fantastic company to deal with

Unfortunately the courier has been absolutely useless DHL, light smashed first run and now they have messed up again on the second delivery.

Feel for tattahome as this is beyond their control.

I live in Northern Ireland (still part of EU so no import duty/vat to pay)

You’d think DHL would know this……but no.

Delay and extra payment not worth it

I paid for an item 2 months ago, no communication about delay. Then a message from DHL that import duty needs to be paid. It would have been cheaper and faster to order elsewhere. I very much regret shopping at Tattahome.

We are sorry to read your message, however we would like to clarify an important point.
You have not paid import duties, but UK VAT, as clearly specified on our website.
For orders shipped to the UK, prices are shown without VAT at the time of purchase, because the goods are exported from the EU. UK VAT is then collected locally by the courier (DHL) upon import, in accordance with UK regulations.
This has been the standard procedure since Brexit, therefore nothing has changed recently. All EU retailers shipping to the UK follow the same process post-Brexit.
We understand that additional payments at delivery can be frustrating, but this is not an extra charge from Tattahome — it is the UK VAT applied by your local customs authority.
If you need any further clarification, we remain at your disposal.

Sadly

Sadly, the item was ordered in November as a Christmas present, but finally arrived towards the end of February. In addition, the price that seemed attractive was impacted by nearly 1/3 of the cost again in import duties.

We truly regret that the delivery did not meet your expectations, especially considering the item was intended as a Christmas present. We understand how disappointing it must have been to receive it at the end of February.
Regarding the additional costs, we would like to clarify once again that what you paid was UK VAT, not import duties. Since the UK is no longer part of the EU following Brexit, goods shipped from Italy are exported without EU VAT and UK VAT is collected at import.
This means the price initially appeared lower because it was shown without VAT, and the VAT (currently 20% in the UK) is then collected by DHL on behalf of UK authorities. It is not an extra charge from Tattahome, nor an additional “1/3 cost” in duties, but simply the local tax applied to all imports into the UK post-Brexit.
We always specify on our website that UK orders are VAT-excluded at checkout and VAT is due upon import.
We are sorry for the delay you experienced and for the frustration caused. If you would like, we can review your specific order in detail to clarify the timeline and any charges applied.

Expect to pay duty and taxes on top of your order!

Be careful when buying from this company, especially if you are not based in the EU - they are not transparent about import duty and import tax and they DO NOT send their goods DTP (delivered taxes paid), you will have this added at customs which can make their prices significantly more expensive than might initially appear. Also their despatch time is unnecessarily long; they took over three weeks to pack and send ceramics I bought in Feb 2026 and there was no communication during this time to let me know what was going on. You'd be forgiven for thinking they'd forgotten or lost your order. All in all, poor admin and transparency, I will never buy from this company again.

First of all, we do clearly state on our website that orders shipped outside the EU (including the UK) are sold without EU VAT and that local VAT is payable upon import. This has been standard procedure since Brexit.
We do not hide this information, and we do not add any “extra” charges. The VAT collected by DHL is charged by UK customs authorities — not by Tattahome. Many international retailers operate in the same way and do not ship DDP (Delivered Duties Paid), especially for design and made-to-order items.
Regarding dispatch time: the ceramics you purchased were not in stock and had to be ordered from the manufacturer. For many design brands, production lead times can vary, and February is often a busy period for Italian manufacturers. Three weeks for non-stock ceramic items is within normal production timelines in our industry.
That said, we do acknowledge that communication could always be improved, and for this we apologise if you felt left without updates. That was certainly not our intention.
We are a long-established Italian company shipping thousands of orders worldwide every year, and transparency and reliability are extremely important to us.
We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations and wish you all the best for your future purchases.
