Bought bathroom cabinet with mirror door which looked really nice and all fitted correctly during bathroom refurbishment

Just within 4 years the mirror has de-laminated at the bottom.

I called tavistock for an explanation and to request replacement. Was quoted £54 delivered.. when I raised subsequent query online the price changed to £69

Surely a mirror should not delaminate so quickly.

5/11/2021 update - emailed tavistock with proof of purchase as requested

Bought a Tavistock vanity unit complete with basin. The basin would not sit correctly on the unit. Both the retailer and Tavistock say there in no manufacturing error.the basin stood at least 30 mm above the front face of the unit to the point where you could get your fingers into the top drawer. Shame I can’t add a photo.

I bought a ready assembled Tavistock Form Vanity unit from Costco. The cabinet has not been put together accuratley and the Ceramic basin is twisted. Tavistock have a problem page where I sent details of the issue and they have referred the complaint to their Technical Services department who tell me they can't help and I should deal with the Retailer 60 miles away. Thanks Shaun in Technical. I have used Tavistock in the past and found them to be very helpful and capable at sorting out problems but this time not at all good

Just wanted to say a hugh thank you to Alexander Todorov for an above and beyond service.
Very helpful with nothing being to much trouble,when I had my bathroom refitted the fitter said Tavistock are the best he was right.

I bought 3 Tavistock showers a few years ago (kinetic), and all were having problems with the valves which were all out of warranty. Was really disappointed to find that the replacement cartridges as part of the bar mixer were discontinued, which meant my showers were completely redundant. However, on contacting Tavistock themselves, they offered me replacement bar mixers for the showers as I was a bit miffed that I couldn't get spares for the kinetic. Seriously excellent customer service (Tanya was my contact), they went beyond my expectations and just received through the post the replacement bars. Although there was an issue with the spares, they went above and beyond to resolve the issues. Would I buy tavistock again....Definitely!!! 😀👍

Cabinets are pretty well made, sink and toilet pan look quite good.
BUT
The toilet relies on a Cistern (VOR790)
Tavistock decided to save pennies by not including seal support washers (which their tech support state they, "Used to include which is why its shown in the installation manual but discontinued as 'unecessary'").
And gradually, hidden away out of sight, it leaks.
I dread to think how much damage could have occurred had I not opened the cabinet to check a pipe run for the sink fitting next to the toilet.

The installation and 'owners guides' aren't accurate either - They show different mechanisms to the one installed.
Explain that to Tech support and they'll send you a PDF of the same unit as the installation guide ~ Not the one in the cistern.

I would have liked to rate Tavistock higher because overall the units look good - But the whole set's useless when its leaking water and has to be taken out of use.
Its lucky we have a toilet downstairs as the new unit has had to be isolated from the water supply.

IF I did not have a VOR 790 cistern I would not be seeking your help with the leak, and given your product does leak why would it matter when I bought it?
........... Unless your concern was to tell Trustpilot its out of time rather than resolve the problem?
Well, what else am I supposed to impute from your demand?

So here we are (7 Dec) 3 months or so down the line.
Tavistock never did send me the seal support washer

Nor did they engage with me about it by email as they said they would

There is STILL a slight leak from the connection below the toilet cystern because of this

Its a real let down because their cupboards / other fitting are pretty good.

Moral of the story
IF you want a constantly damp bathroom floor
.............. You know what brand to choose

Recently I had cause to contact Tavistock to complain about the very matt finish on one of their toilet seats that has got progressively worse since fitting and retains every stain. After an initial email asking for proof of purchase and photos, it then took well over a month to even get a reply (only then after several further email requests for a response). The eventual reply was very abrupt to say they did not consider it a manufacturing defect! Although they had not seen this condition before? (so what was it then?). So much for their 5 year guarantee, obviously of no meaning or value whatsoever, much the same as their mantra "Here to help you in 2021". No help whatsoever! I would not recommend using this company if this is an example of their customer service.

Used Tavistock for many years now and always had very good service from them. The products are good quality and the offering is quite varied. Special mention to Kevin Phelps and Colin Aston for always being on hand to help with any issues that arise.

Bought a Tavistock shower in 2013 for a new bathroom we planned - which for one reason or another got put on the back burner until a few weeks ago. When the new shower was fitted there was a problem. Given that I bought this 8 years ago, when I raised this with Tavistock I fully expected to be given short shrift. On the contrary, within two days I received a completely new shower unit which is now working perfectly. Great service - totally exceeded my expectations.

Bought Tavistock led bluetooth mirror from Costco, mirror looks good sleek and contemporary but ruined due to cheap tinny speakers , better sound from my phone , so whole family has disconnected from mirror as sound is so poor and makes an unnerving crackle when you turn mirror off

We have just had a new Tavistock dual flush toilet fitted .
Neither flush will clear the toilet paper ,it takes two or three flushes to clear.
Had the fitters out once still the same !
Try again next week .

I had a small mark on my bathroom cabinet door, spoke to Customer service, and replacement door received very quickly to my home address, and perfectly packaged. I would recommend Tavistock products to everyone.

I’ve spent a fortune on my Tavistock bathroom, after a month the shower hose burst, it took forever through the supplier to get a replacement. Then the Accord 800 mirror LED lights have blown!! That mirror was a few hundred pounds!!!! How is it that they are expensive yet their products don’t last?! I am dreading what is is going to break next. Not only that but the shop I bought it from are so unhelpful, everything is a chore. I contacted Tavistock who will not help because I purchased it from the shop. Utterly useless, would never buy from them again.

We are a very elderly couple that spent £10k on refurbishing our bathroom. We tried to buy good quality fittings, and included was a nice looking Tavistock basin.
After just over a year, multiple hairline cracks started to fan out from the overflow vent at the top back of the sink below the tap, and became increasingly obvious as presumably they began to absorb dirt.
I contacted the installer/supplier as the basin was still under manufacture’s guarantee, and did not expect any problems.
Tavistock has now twice refused to replace the sink, as it says something has been dropped on it, or it has been misused / mistreated. The basin has only been used to wash face and hands, it most certainly has not been mistreated and nothing has been dropped or banged against it. We have no grandchildren, so what exactly does Tavistock think an elderly couple have been up to, to crack a basin?
The implication by Tavistock is that I am making a dishonest claim under the guarantee, which I strongly object to. It would not occur to me to do that. Nor am I a lier.
I believe the sink was faulty, but these very fine hairline cracks were not noticeable when the basin was first fitted, but became so as they began to expand and absorb dirt over time.
BEWARE OF TAVISTOCK LONG GUARANTEES ON SANITARY WARE, WORTHLESS, AND A BREACH OF CONTRACT.
