The worst communication and tasks
When I applied to the Sonic Project, the hiring process was quite easy. Later on, although the tasks they assigned were not difficult to complete, the responses to the questions I asked were always very delayed.
In the end, after working for a week, I was removed from Multimango on the grounds that my work did not meet the expected quality. However, I was told that I could continue working on Parimango, so I did so by adding the hours I worked for FTs. One week later, I was informed that I had been completely removed from the project.
Overall, only one third of the total amount I was supposed to be paid was paid, and there was no response to my emails. It is an amateur project with very poor communication. I do not recommend it to anyone. If anyone wants to file a lawsuit, I am willing to support it as well.
Hiring process wasted time and was poorly organised
I would like to provide feedback on the assessment process for the online maps data analyst role.
The process was frustrating and poorly organised. A mandatory simulation test was repeatedly mentioned as a requirement, yet it was never provided, despite multiple follow-ups on my side. I was eventually informed that there were technical issues and that I might not receive the simulation at all. This meant I was expected to complete the assessment without the required practice component, which made the evaluation unfair.
The assessment content did not match the advertised market and focused on US maps and US-specific classifications. As someone without background knowledge of the US market and its local categories, this mismatch directly affected my ability to complete the exam successfully.
As a result, a significant amount of my time was wasted preparing for and attempting assessments that were not aligned with the role description and were affected by acknowledged technical problems. I believe the process would benefit from clearer communication, role-specific testing, and ensuring that all mandatory materials are actually delivered to candidates.
WARNING: Unpaid Work - Kicked Out When I Asked for Payment
I worked on the MultiMango(Project Sonic) project since September, but I have not received any payment.
When I inquired about payment, I was repeatedly redirected between departments with no answers.
Then, I simply reported a technical issue with community login, and was suddenly removed from the project for "poor quality" , even though my score was above the required threshold.
Work completed from September remains unpaid and ignored.
This is pure labor exploitation.
Do not work for this company.

My wife worked for this for this disgusting company. While she was in training she had a bad day. They fired her because she was human and thought she couldn’t do the job.

Owed hundreds of pounds confirmed by invoices which this company are refusing to pay. Having to go through ACAS early conciliation. This company are scammers and should be banned from operating.
The Poorest Communications in the Communications Business
For a communications company Telus is probably the worst communicator when it comes to customer service. The MyTelus web site is plagued with errors, very difficult to navigate, and the chat option seems to powered with outdated, uninformed, poorly programed bots. A completely frustrating company to deal with. Over the past 2 years I have closed many of my telus accounts, and the 1 we spent $40,000 a year on for business is next. A very poor example of how a customer service company should be operated. Why their stock price is 1/2 the value it was 5 years ago. Stay away and save your frustration.
Project sonic
Project sonic. This is the first time in my professional career that I have had to repeatedly request payment for work I have completed.
I would like to state publicly that I have not received payment for the task I completed on September 30, 2025 on the Paramango platform, despite fulfilling all requirements.
Additionally, I have not received payment for the tasks submitted between October 25 and November 5 on the Multimango platform.
I have contacted Telus multiple times by email regarding these overdue payments, but I have not received any response.
I am sharing this information publicly because all attempts to resolve the matter privately have failed.
Despicable behaviour
Telus kept sending me invoices after disconnecting my TV service on July 22. I left Canada on July 24 but they still claimed I had used their TV service in Calgary. I kept emailing them back but received no response. Now they have handed the October "bill" - but mot the others - to a debt collector. I cannot contact them by phone because I no longer have access to MyTelus and my "account number does not exist" so the automated assistant will not let me talk to a person. I am beyond angry!
What on earth!!!!!!
I would love to know what goes on in this company. I signed up to do AI reviewing. I spent a fair bit of time reading the guidelines and then completing an exam which I passed. I then 'attended' 2 webinars purporting to be live but were clearly not. I then had a final assessment to do but I could not get logged on, when I did the style of the assessment changed, documents appeared and disappeared and then finally the 'next'button just stopped working
Their '24/7' support consists of you raising a ticket, a bot replies telling you to send to an email address, then a bot replies telling you to raise a ticket
I'm pretty sure this is some sort of scam, but I can't work out how, and what exactly they are trying to acheive. I am not wasting another minute of my time on it!!!
SCAM: 20 Hours of Time Wasted for a Bot-Generated Rejection
This entire process is a prime example of a company wasting applicant time with zero respect for their effort. I spent over 20 hours diligently studying the incredibly complex and "shitty" guidelines for a low-paying ($5/hour range) rater position.
The examination process is a confusing, drawn-out three-stage ordeal. After completing the third stage, I was instantly failed via an automated, bot-generated email—with zero explanation as to why I failed. This suggests the pass/fail mechanism is arbitrary and poorly designed.
The most infuriating part is the complete lack of support. I reached out to the support team four separate times with questions during the study period and when requesting clarity on the exam timing. I received absolutely zero replies. The promise of assistance is a lie.
This company puts applicants through an immense amount of uncompensated hassle and stress, only to reject them with an impersonal email. The final insult was the sheer corporate audacity: the termination notice demanded the deletion of all supplied materials and then stated my personal Gmail account was "unaffected and will remain active for personal use." The arrogance of implying they hold any authority to affect a private email account, and then condescendingly granting permission to use it, is the ultimate display of corporate hubris.
The lack of human accountability, clear feedback, and adequate communication makes this feel less like a legitimate job application process and more like a massive data collection scam. Do not waste your time. The cost-to-benefit ratio is insulting.
This company is a complete scam
This company is a complete scam
I did about 20 hours of work and then was told that I’d incorrectly filled out the form to be compensated
I then corrected that as I was asked and still no payment
My latest contact is that I didn’t make the changes required, which is absolute nonsense and all kinds of excuses to not pay me
I urge everyone or anyone reading this to not participate with this company it is a complete and utter scam and what they’re doing. I would even suggest is ilegal by law and what they’re doing is perhaps getting information for free so stay well away from them and anybody else that you may know, tell them to do the same.
Very disappointing!
I had a very disappointing experience during the hiring process:
1.) The offered “salary” was far below what is realistic or sustainable for the cost of living in 2025/2026, that felt disrespectful to candidates.
2.) So, they promised me additionally a welcome bonus, a rent allowance bonus, and a bonus based on working hours… but then, only the rent allowance bonus appeared in the contract. I was told this was due to “regulations”.
3.) I was repeatedly assured that my position does not involve night shifts. Despite this, I was required to sign a night-work declaration because of “alignment with other departments.” From my 20+ years of experience in 6 different countries, contracts apply to the specific role, not the roles of other teams and everyone else.
/Just one example from many: my sister works in logistics for a railway company, but she never had to sign obligations that apply to the train drivers./ Requiring obligations unrelated to the actual role, felt illogical and very concerning! But well, if that logic applies that every departments have to sign the same contract, then theoretically everyone should receive the same salary as well – which clearly isn’t the case.
4.) They requested an unusually large amount of documentation and certifications that no employer ever asked me for 20+ years across 6 countries! However, I still was gladly eager to proceed with all of them, but when I needed additional clarification, question and guidance, I received a copy-pasted response from the prior email. So, I had to re-explain the very same matter once more and request the same support again. From that moment, I was being fully ignored!
5.) The contract included a 2-month notice period during a 6-month probation. In my 20+ years of experience in 6 different countries: probation is probation! It does not include any notice period, especially not 2 months! So, this was another red flag for me.
Because of all these inconsistencies, I decided not to proceed, and I am very disappointed, considering that I was very excited to start a new chapter at this company, but instead, I encountered such inappropriate, demotivating and unreasonable demands that it made the entire experience deeply disappointing and unprofessional.
Scam
Scam! Was asked to participate in an AI Experiment to be promised $60 we’ll don’t bother!! Myself and my husband took part, spent hours doing recordings, formatting, editing, etc, only to be told they weren't accepted by the “client” well we still took part so where is our money?? Robbing ba””ards is all they are
Would give zero stars if I could
Would give zero stars if I could. The communication is almost non-existent from their part, every email listed that they use (it is a lot of different ones) will just send you email back to contact someone else. After trying to inquire about my pay or anything else, weeks and many emails later I was told that there is nothing they can do about it (they did not pay me for over 20 hours of work, about £300). What an absolute joke of a company. Avoid like a plague.
Age discrimination
Went through hoops and took multiple assessments with no communication about pass or fail on the final part. The first parts were passed just to get to the final test.
Received an email requesting my driver’s license to confirm my identity. I wrongly assumed I was moving through the checkpoints. Then I received an email stating I was not hired.
I’m 65! Pretty sure it’s age discrimination since it was moving forward until I gave my photo and PERSONAL INFORMATION!!
Extorting People Who Need Help
The people who need to direct you to a specialist when you first call are dispassionate and unsupportive. It makes you feel like asking for the help you need is an inconvenience to them.
Also, when they are supposed to provide support through your connections at work, if they deem you have more complex issues than can be fully addressed in 5/6 sessions, they refuse to give you the starting sessions for free (which you are entitled to through your work) and instead force you to pay for everything from the beginning.
I can’t imagine anything feeling less supportive to mental health than essentially being told “If you want long term help, you are redirected to private and have to pay for everything out of pocket.” It’s blatantly taking advantage of people who need more help.
Worst communication...there isn't any
This company has the worst communication I've ever seen. They basically don't answer anything and if they do you get some short response that still doesn't answer your damn question. Unreal. Dealing with this for years now...
This is hilarious
This is hilarious. During the math test, I noticed that many questions didn't even have the correct answer as an option, and the right solutions were marked as wrong. Considering that I graduated in math, it really made me laugh.
Tasks completed but nowhere to be found so no pay
I was asked to sign a contract for privacy since the AI tasks might sometimes be linked to important businesses (as far as I know, TELUS works for SAMSUNG among the rest too); I put in many hours of tedious work correcting and adding to AI analysis of audio excerpts and more which had me feeling knackered after a few hours (definitely not something one can do 8 hours in a row, but I needed money).
Today I log in again to check if there's any other task for me to complete and my profile is empty, no trace of previous tasks completed and no request for more work, no quality evaluation of my work so far either.
The related form for enquiries is now dismissed and I was just sent an e-mail with an offer for a completely different type of work-from-home post by them.
No way to know how much money they owe me nor is it possible to wire any as a consequence.
I guess I've been helping them enhance AI for free.
Shouldn't be trusted in my opinion.
I had a very bad experience with TELUS…
I had a very bad experience with TELUS International. In my opinion, this company takes advantage of people. They ask you to complete multiple assessments and interviews for different projects, but in reality, they just use your work without any real hiring intention. Each time, they tell you that you didn’t pass but offer you another “chance,” only to repeat the same process. You end up wasting your time and effort without any results. I strongly advise against trusting this company.
