I had a very bad experience with TELUS…
I had a very bad experience with TELUS International. In my opinion, this company takes advantage of people. They ask you to complete multiple assessments and interviews for different projects, but in reality, they just use your work without any real hiring intention. Each time, they tell you that you didn’t pass but offer you another “chance,” only to repeat the same process. You end up wasting your time and effort without any results. I strongly advise against trusting this company.
Telus, a misleading online scam
I applied to Telus through an online job portal for a position titled "Planning Consultant" while looking for a professional urban planning position. I submitted an online application and with 24 hours received a response asking me to complete an online assessment as the next step in the hiring process, it took about 60 minutes and seemed completely unrelated to professional planning. The next day I was sent links to "onboarding" platforms where I was asked to set up multiple log in accounts to access profile dashboards.
Once on the profile dashboards I was provided instruction videos that were unprofessional and I could not duplicate; I then had to create an Instagram profile to perform the exercises assigned, which I could not duplicate as instructed. I tried to reach out to tech support to find the online links were all bad links, I emailed support and received no answers.
For several days I logged into my dashboard and found exercises I was assigned often led to http errors or white screens, again emailed support,no answer.
Suddenly I was able to access one exercise where I was asked to review video clips and "rate which is better in quality." It was completely unrelated to legitimate professional planning work, instead like paid online surveys for focus groups.
I did hundreds of these reviews before I received an email informing me I was performing too much work and that my access to the project was temporarily suspended. Several hours later I received another email informing me that the worldwide parameter of employment had changed, that hundreds of consultants would be "offboarded" at random and Telus would email consultants in the future when new projects arose.
I am owed several hundred dollars for work, I've been paid only twenty dollars with no answers to when I will receive the balance owed me.
I emailed the management at Telus multiple times for more details, I received one AI generated response that hired Consultants should not be performing "large quantities of work on project assignments" and that "issues have arisen with our client requiring that our consultants be hired from other locations worldwide."
Supposedly I was offboarded but I can still access many of the dashboards I was asked to set up.
Everything about my experience was unprofessional and misleading, the hiring process was misleading and deceitful, the training videos were poor quality and difficult if not impossible to reproduce most of the time, and no authentic lines of communications exist between you and the company.
I think a lot of people here are confused
I think a lot of people here are confused about how these kinds of companies work. It doesn't mean it's not legit. You need to be able to train yourself, and mange your self effectively. Something not a lot of people have the patients to do.
The types of jobs start slow. You have to prove yourself to get more stable work.
I have never not gotten paid even by a certain competitor that doesn't bother to do any significant training like Telus does. No one mentions doing the training before applying to jobs that are hard. Of course you fail the application test.
Do not waste time
Thank God i see reviews before applying, thanks for everyone for their precious reviews, really helped me not to waste my time in such scams
DO NOT ENGAGE
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME APPLYING FOR JOBS.
They set 3 exams as their application procedure, which involves reading a 181 page guidelines document, learning procedures, and implementing what you have read in actual case studies. In total I spent 15+ hours between learning and tests, only to receive an email after the last one saying "Thanks, but you failed. Please delete all our stuff, and don't contact us about what went wrong." Sincerely wish I had never heard of them.

Don't apply for a job
I applied for an Ad rater job with this scammer company. They give you 180-pages guidelines and you have to pass 3 parts of exam - all together takes you HOURS. You have one week to pass the exams, and once you do so, you should receive the job. I failed the exam first time (it was my birthday in the middle so I had no time to learn fully, and they are not flexible with changing the date of when is the start of exam. ) ... So I could repeat the whole exam (so I had to pass again even the parts that I already passed)... So in total I spent 2 weeks of my life for this fu*king company. After I passed the exam, they asked me for a copy of my ID, I gave them my full ID. ..After that they just wrote they are not able to give me a job at this point and that they cannot provide me the reason.
So I passed, I gave them my full ID and after that they just said NO, without any explanation. So after that I wrote them MANY TIMES, asking for them to DELETE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION and they would not reply to any of the emails. I was never in my life so dissapointed in any company.
So they make a bunch of the rules for the "candidates", but the company itself follows NONE.
Awful company
Awful project management, inefficiency and unprofessionalism, avoid working with and for this company like the plague.
Stupidity at its Finest
The people working here have no idea what they're doing. They provide inaccurate information which ultimately slows down everything. Then, the client, customer ends up having to do double work that was already completed.
Do not bother with this nonsense
Do not bother with this nonsense , read the appalling reviews. Company should too, they are a disgrace .
They will waste your time in endless exams
I responded to a craigslist ad to apply for a job of internet data research, too bad I didn't read enough reviews before. The application ended up in endless exam after exam that took hours, I must have spent 4 hours comparing through subjective questions wanting you to rank them for 'moderate' or 'high' or 'highest' or fully meets or moderately meets subjective junk, at some point I to fail one of them exams so I couldn't continue. It all ended ended up in wasted time, I wish I knew the process before hand such that I don't apply. So much time & exams fora minimum wage jobs. But I guess I was lucky to fail on the way, many who completed aren't happy in the reviews.
Waste of time company
Waste of time company, continually spamming LinkedIn with fake job ads (no actual job). I had one project with them once, but they only paid me 4 USD total.
I wouldn't bother with this company
I wouldn't bother with this company. Applied for Data partner role. They sent me a long assessment to complete that took hours to complete. I received an email couple days later saying i was successful.I sent all the documents for ID verifaction and I was expecting to start the job. However , they sold dreams .Noone bothered to reach out to me. What a worst of my time. Imagine if i was working for them already. Bet getting paid would be stressful as noone puts in effort when it comes to effective communication
This "company" is a complete scam and…
This "company" is a complete scam and should be avoided at all costs. They do NOT pay employees after the work is completed. I spent my time, energy, and skills completing an assignment they gave me, and guess what? No payment. Not even a response.
To make things worse, they had the audacity to ask ME for money—yes, the so-called employer asking the employee for money. What kind of backwards, shady operation is this? Total red flag. This is not just unprofessional—it's unethical and borderline criminal.
Save yourself the frustration, the wasted time, and the stress. They will use you, take your work, and then disappear. They are thieves in disguise. I regret ever giving them a minute of my time. If you're reading this, take it as your warning: STAY AWAY.
Online Data Analyst tests
It seems like they want free surveys. There is no proper test, numbering and the qualification test is set on Rating app, it ends when it says "No more surveys". Also, on reviews, it looks like people are earning from Telus through different channels than this one.
This looks like the most fraudulent job that Telus cares about the least, to even give you a cent.
Minimum wage zero personality
Minimum wage, but they ask you to do constant tests. And they can fire you at any time. Very unpleasant company, zero personal contact. And then never a full working week, just stay away from here. And look for something else.
The pay is ok for the bare minimum
The pay is ok for the bare minimum. It's pretty good for a job where you sit on your a** all day. However, people swarm like cockroaches all over the place, you cannot get much personal space at all, not even when you eat, or take the elevator at any given time. That's actually my main complaint. The elevator AI is stupid and it tries its absolute best to tuck in as many people as possible inside one elevator ride which makes it claustrophobic and slow. Seriously, please rework these systems to be more friendly towards rushing people, not trying to make everyone ride together for no reason
Don't waste your time
Don't waste your time. You think you are approved for work, then you need to take another assessment test. Or some other team member contacts you saying that they saw your resume, and they offer you a job that pays even less than the one you had applied for. More assessment tests. In the end I have wasted over 10 hours of taking tests over several weeks in the hiring process and have yet to earn a single penny. Judging by the last assessment test I took, the pay is a total joke: you need to have a PhD to accurately complete tasks, but anyone can make better money scrubbing toilets.
Scammers are interested to know each…
Scammers are interested to know each and every thing about you and provide nonsense surveys it seems they want to utilise your details for fake feedbacks and no intention to pay
Don't even apply for this scam of a company
I was hired as an 'Internet domain assessor'. Only... There's no actual work. Only required test after required test, which are essentially impossible because the ratings are entirely subjective and the sites they send you to are phishing scams. They say they'll pay you for 2 hours per test, only the tests take at least twice as much time. Oh, and there's no way to actually get paid for this, since they never gave me login credentials on their workday site and won't answer my emails asking for login credentials. Run away from this scam of a company.
